  • After an initial examination of my cat's vitals, the veterinarian, Dr. Nicole Budzinski recommended $300 in X-rays and $280 in blood work. Those fees were well beyond my budget, as I explained. I asked the doctor about an injectable antibiotic, which she had mentioned. She quoted me $40 on the 2-week injection, so I opted for that method of treatment. When I settled the bill at the front desk, my itemized bill listed the injection at $77 instead of the quoted $40. I contested this amount, quoting the doctor's estimate. However, the male billing associate at the front desk and Beverly, the client supervisor, both refused to credit back the overage amount. They claimed, "Dr. Budzinski said around $40." The last time I checked, $77 dollars is approximately double the amount as $40. That does not classify as 'roughly' by financial or mathematical standards. When I asked Beverly is the $37 overage amount worth losing a future client and other referrals, she only responded by saying that there was nothing she could do. I asked for the business manager, Jason Bitting, but have not heard since. In business, when you give an estimate and the final cost is double, you either honor that estimate or you lose future work with that particular client. I informed both the clerk and Beverly of this, but they do not seem to care. Who knew that $37 was more valuable than future business from us as well as referrals. I guess business is so good there that they don't need good word of mouth. In my business, good word of mouth is paramount to staying afloat. Bottom line: if you have a lot of disposable income and money is truly no object, even if they quote you a certain amount, then look no further. However, if you want a clinic that does honest business, even if someone misquotes you, I cannot in good conscience recommend this clinic to anyone.

  • I was last in to see Dr Lyons in March of 2016. Cancer treatments are not cheap. I do not have pet insurance. Those people were outstanding. I was just so thrilled that I live close to them. The waiting room was immaculate and very comfortable. If you did not want to be there you can go out to the patio.

  • I found them on Angie's List. Clint, the guy that owns it, is just fantastic. It costs $25 per visit and I would have them come twice a day. My one cat had cancer in the leg and I needed people to be around it. One time I had to leave him for radiation treatment because we were going on a cruise. Clint picked him up. I had prearranged and given him all the names within the cancer place. He brought him home and everything and he would send pictures and texts every time he visited. They made me feel so at ease that within three days I was not even thinking about the cat.

  • I contacted Travelin? Chimp Animal Care based on the excellent comments from fellow Angie?s List clients.  I was impressed with the company?s web site especially the up-front fee structure and services offered.  (No surprises.)  I was pleased that they will administer medications and subcutaneous fluid shots.  (One of our cats has deteriorating kidneys.)  The owner, Clint, responded
    right away and we set up an appointment for his associate, Courtney, to meet the cats and assess the situation to see if we were a good fit.
     Courtney was very nice and professional and we made the arrangements.  I liked that we didn?t need to leave money up front; Travelin? Chimp will send an invoice at the end of the service period.
    Two weeks before we were to leave, I noticed a large growth on one of the cat?s legs.  It was a tumor that required 5 radiation treatments and I was unable to schedule them all prior to our departure.  I boarded the cat at the vets and asked Clint to pick him up after his last treatment.  Any pet owner will understand how nervous and stressed I was, knowing that I wouldn?t see the cat again for 18 days.
     Well, Clint was absolutely amazing.  As soon as he brought our cat home, he sent a picture so we could see he was OK.  For the next couple of days, Clint sent updates every time he came to the house, and even a few more pictures.  By day 4, I stopped thinking about the cats as I could tell they were in good hands.  We still received daily text messages from Clint or Courtney, which was comforting and allowed us to have a great vacation.  When I took the cat to the vet for a follow-up, he had actually gained weight (a good thing) while in Clint and Courtney?s care.
     A few other things I appreciated about Travelin? Chimp that my previous cat sitting service didn?t do; checked the house for ?cat barf?, found toys to engage the cats in play, brushed the cats and navigated our home alarm system without triggering any false alarms.  Cat-wise, the house was cleaner than when we left.  Upon Clint?s suggestion, we reduced the visits-per-day while the one cat was being boarded, which saved us some money.
     I would absolutely recommend Travelin? Chimp Animal Care service.  They are well worth the expense.  Our next trip is 20 days duration, and I look forward to Clint and Courtney taking care of our cats so we can have a worry-free trip.

  • I started my search on Yelp to find a dog walker and came up with a few choices in the Culver City area.  If you are starting your search, you can stop here!!!  Michelle, the owner, found a wonderful woman to walk my dog each weekend and they both have been an utter joy to work with.  You can immediately see their love for animals.  My dog is really thriving with this extra activity.   Lastly, you will never find an owner of a company that is more caring and professional as Michelle.

  • Everything went well without a hitch. Our kitties looked great and were in a good mood when we returned.
    In addition, the mail, newspapers, lighting, etc. were all taken care of. Theresa is extremely responsible,
    personable, and professional.We would highly recommend Theresa and will be using her services

  • I took my rat terrior Sadie over to the animal hospital because she wasn;t feeling very good.I met with the vet dr g.he said he would run some tests to see what was wrong ,he told me to come back in a few hrs.I said i would,hoping that I would be able to bring my dog back home with me.When I came back,he told me that he had found out what was wrong with her.He found out that Sadie had siezures,he said that I could try and give her medication for the siezures,but he wasn't sure that would workc for Sadie.He also said that Sadie was suffering,I could see that she was,she was crying all the time also she didn't know where she was.After consulting with Dr G,I decided that Sadie should be put to sleep,which was done the same day.The people there were very kind,careing,and helpful.They said I could get Sadie's remains in about a week,they would call me to let me know when I could pick up the remains.It was less than a week after that I got her remains.They were very sorry about the loss of Sadie,let me know,if I needed someone top talk to,I could call them up and talk about Sadie if I needed to.about a week after that I got a card from them saying how sorry they were about my loss and a powem inside the card which was really nice.It was nice of them to send a card to me,they didn't have to do that,but they did.To me,it really showed that they cared about their customers,I felt like they went above and beyond what I expected

They are amazing people and the staff and the doctors are right on.  They correctly diagnosed my friend’s dog when he was brought in to them with something the regular vet hadn’t even thought of.  They were the ones that told us exactly what was going on with him.  They definitely get high marks from me.

  • Dr. Shane and the other doctors are all fantastic. They are all very sympathetic and they really do care; that makes them great vets. The punctuality always depends on who they are with before my appointment. But they are like about any other vet and it has been acceptable delays. They are a great group of people and their staff is great too. I followed Dr. Shane over from the vet she used to be at. When she started her own clinic I said, and ldquo;I'm definitely going with her.and rdquo;

  • They are clean and good. They are professional. They talk to me. They tell me other things. I can ask anybody, anything. The vets are as friendly and nice as the doctors. They are compassionate. Some people are clueless but they are not. When I come out, I feel confident and things will be okay. It is always nice when they are chatting with the dog and with me. I would use them in the future.
