  • So I have to hear from a collection agency despite my NOT IGNORING the statements from Brotman but asking for itemized statements and the billing department sending my statements to the wrong address not once, not twice, not thrice, 4 times! I hear this all standard practice to collect for facilities but if I get a bill that does not explain to me what service was rendered or product purchased, I don't want to pay it until I am satisfied there has been no mistake. These days who can afford to just give up their money without due diligence? I feel there is something terribly wrong in the way Brotman is doing business. What a way to treat patients, what a way to strong arm people into paying while offering little explanation or leeway for the patient when it is their mistake. The collection agency is of course no help, their job is to separate you from your money. The billing department of Brotman is no help because they just go by the information you are given. No one cares to examine whether patients are being treated as nicely and carefully as when one has an ailment and is suffering. I say shame on you Brotman, not necessarily for the fees you feel you are entitled to charge for facilities, but for the way in which you communicate and interact or rather don't interact with your 'Patients". TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I feel like I was just robbed or assaulted and there was no one to help me or stick up for me. My time has been wasted, my focus on other more important things damaged and my trust of the medical system quite damaged.

  • My experience with Dr. Armstrong was excellent. I have no way of knowing how well he performed in the operating room but leading up to the operation and in followup visits he was always clear and direct about the information on my condition. He has a tendency to be late but once he starts your consultation, he spends as much time with you as you need with no sign of needing to rush on to the next appointment. He is very patient when answering questions and listened to what I wanted to do. He has a way of including you in the decision and making you feel like you are in control (as much as is possible) of your fate. For example, he did not impose a physical therapist on me and had a positive reaction to why I preferred the one I went to. Dr. Armstrong seems like a very busy doctor, and his staff have a lot of work, but they exhibit the same patience when it is your turn. They make sure everything you need is taken care of and don't rush to finish with you. New patients are warned that this is a busy office. Dr. Armstrong tends to be late, but often that is related to surgery, even sometimes emergency surgery he is called on to perform. But I feel, the extra time you have to devote is worth it.
