    Justin Paquette MD,MA
Best possible outcomes because of Dr. Justin D! I couldn't be happier with my recent knee replacement that Dr. performed. And - I'm only 2 weeks out from the surgery! He was very upfront with the pros and cons for me. I have always felt that he truly cares about me and my situation.

    Duncan McBride MD
Dr. McBride was one of three surgeons I interviewed before making the decision to have my second cervical spine surgery. I knew immediately he was the surgeon for me. His calm demeanor and apparent expertise put me at ease from the start. He thoroughly explained my problem and the surgical solution along with possible complications and side effects. Questions that arose between scheduling and surgery were answered in detail by a very prompt callback. The appliance from my first surgery twenty years ago had to be removed to make room for the new one. That proved to be a very difficult task for him, taking hours instead of the 10 minutes anticipated. To this day I am amazed at my lack of pain after this surgery…even with the complication. I was walking in my neighborhood the very next day when I got home from the hospital. I didn’t need pain pills for the surgery, but I have to admit it was difficult to sleep because of the neck brace. Now being fused from C3 through C7, I had a very difficult time finding the right pillow, but finally settled on the contour Tempurpedic. Most stores will allow you to try pillows for a few days and return them undamaged if necessary, thank goodness. No more pain down my left arm or neck and no more daily discogenic headaches. My life has improved immensely. I’m able to enjoy gardening again and so many simple tasks requiring bending over that I used to dread. Thank you Dr. McBride.

I have them every 4 months. With the appointment, I go right in. There's no wait. The office environment is beautiful. It's an amazing place. If you're going to have any type of neurosurgery, it's the place I highly recommend.

    Armstrong, Dr. Ian T
My experience with Dr. Armstrong was excellent. I have no way of knowing how well he performed in the operating room but leading up to the operation and in followup visits he was always clear and direct about the information on my condition. He has a tendency to be late but once he starts your consultation, he spends as much time with you as you need with no sign of needing to rush on to the next appointment. He is very patient when answering questions and listened to what I wanted to do. He has a way of including you in the decision and making you feel like you are in control (as much as is possible) of your fate. For example, he did not impose a physical therapist on me and had a positive reaction to why I preferred the one I went to. Dr. Armstrong seems like a very busy doctor, and his staff have a lot of work, but they exhibit the same patience when it is your turn. They make sure everything you need is taken care of and don't rush to finish with you. New patients are warned that this is a busy office. Dr. Armstrong tends to be late, but often that is related to surgery, even sometimes emergency surgery he is called on to perform. But I feel, the extra time you have to devote is worth it.

    Hector Ho MD,FACS
He makes it a point to see only a few patients each day so that when you go in you've got atleast 30 minutes. He sits down with you and discusses what's going on and what your options are. He is very thorough and very accommodating.

    Sanjay Khurana MD
Dr. Khurana was terrific. He did a thorough review of tests already done and performed a very thorough exam. He took time and explained all aspects of the condition and possible treatment options. He gave me information about research that has been done on the various treatment options and he was clearly extremely competent and knowledgeable. His bedside manner is great. Although he is a very busy doctor, he was very patient and he took the time to answer my many questions. Everyone in the office was very helpful and thoughtful and aware that the patients who come in are often in great pain and every effort was made to make me as comfortable as possible.

    Sanjay Khurana MD
He is really good. They took insurance for the office visits. He also assisted in the surgeries. His bedside manner is excellent. He makes small talk and makes you feel comfortable. He doesn't look down on you and doesn't have the "god" personality like a lot of surgeons have. These guys are top knotch. Their responsiveness is not good.

    UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center
Dr. Wang and Dr. Khamsi performed a C4-C7 ACDF procedure, with hardware, at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. Within 24 hours, I felt relief from the horrifying nerve pain I was experiencing in my neck and arm. The recovery has been excellent, with only one minor muscle spasm setback post-surgery. The UCLA Spine Center team is truly amazing! From the kind, helpful, and on-time office staff, to the Doctors involved with the surgery. My life was literally given back to me; as I would have faced severe degeneration and quadraplegia in the near-term future had this not been performed. Additional props to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital for the first-class, VIP treatment I received by the hospital and nursing staff! A good friend of mine was given his life back by UCLA Spine Center after a really bad motorcycle wreck several years ago, as well. If you are considering, or need a lumbar or cervical spine procedure done in the future, or sooner, please consider placing UCLA Spine Center at the Top of your list among spine specialists in the greater Southern California area. I have nothing but Gratitude and Love for these professionals! Peace out..

    Brian Gantwerker MD
Very conservative. After examining MRI and X-rays, said I didn't need surgery. Gave me a prescription to relieve muscle spasms in my back and referred me to a place for water physical therapy in a pool, all of which were helpful. Very pleasant personality. Dedicated. Will always return phone messages even if he's out of the office.
