  • We could not be happier with our new back yard! We had talked to several companies, and Prime Gardens was the most creative, flexible and able to work within our budget. They worked up a design that had everything we needed for entertaining and lounging. They did everything from the concrete work, pergola design/build, overlays for existing cement, fencing, landscaping, watering system and lighting. They even built us a shed since we couldn't find one that fit our specifications. They were clean, efficient (minus the pause caused by our heavy winter rain) and always accommodating when we wanted to rethink something or change direction. And, importantly, always mindful of our budget. We've worked with other contractors and these are qualities I've learned to really appreciate. Ali and Sina are people you enjoy working with and it's clear they take pride in what they do. The crew was happy and did great work, often taking extra steps to make sure things are done right. When the time comes to redo our front yard, we are calling these guys again. I'd recommend them over and over again!

  • the company was 100% professional through the whole process. Always available and patient for any questions that I had regarding the job. The workers came on time, clean after each work day, and overall did an excellent job. I'm very pleased with the estimate they gave me, and I will work with them in the future again.

  • Overall, Ulysses is an excellent landscaper.  He is knowledgeable, creative and passionate about all things plants and landscape.  He's easy to work with and very accommodating.  He goes above and beyond and has excellent customer service.

He does get overly busy at times so from time to time, I have to wait to get his services.

But I definitely plan to have him assist me with my future landscape projects.

  • Great professional company, they made the whole process quick and easy with an amazing finished product, I will be using them again for my new driveway gate and backyard fencing, such a relief to work with a contractor with integrity and respect.

  • We love our new yard. We feel the design, especially in front where there is more room, is really beautiful. We have seen lots of xeriscaping projects lately, and many of them look skimpy to us, with seas of decomposed granite interspersed with a few succulents. Our yard is generously planted. One aspect of the design that we really like is that John put in 2 good sized (maybe 10 years old?) olive trees in front, which provided an immediate impact on the look of our house and yard. The choice of plants is creative and varied. A neighbor calls it our park.

John is a very friendly and pleasant man, very responsive and easy to work with. The project moved forward in a timely manner, the crew was also very nice. John continues to check in on the yard when he is in the neighborhood. We like that, not just because he's monitoring the job he did for us, but that he keeps track of how plants look after they've been growing for a while, not just how they look in the beginning.

In terms of John's design services, I'd say his aesthetic (at least in our yard) is a plant-filled natural look, without a lot of straight or hard edges. As I said, not a minimalist. Works for us.

  • Kobi was the project manager and he was very knowledgeable, professional and responsive.  Go Pavers was vary detail oriented which made the job go very smoothly.  They allowed themselves a week to complete the job and finished in four days.  Go Pavers provides a high quality finished result for a reasonable cost.

Kobi was very good with suggesting small changes that made a large difference in the end.  The biggest suggestion was to use a second type of stone for borders and walkway to make the designs stand out.  The overall pavers were a varied light grey while the boarder and walkway pavers were a solid and slightly darker gray.  This was subtle but really made the end result nice.  There was no additional cost to us for this.  Kobi's focus was giving us a great end result.

The crew came every day by 8am and immediately got to work.  It was impressive how fast and hard they worked!  They were all very professional and a pleasure to work with.  The corner of our driveway leading to the backyard was already cracked off and when they drove their bobcat into the backyard for the demo the corner broke a little more.  Without us ever even asking they fixed the corner and it looks better than it ever has before.  They leveled all of the areas to be paved, compacted and put down an aggregate base for the pavers.  You know you're dealing with a professional when the prep work is precise, clean and looks good.  All of the stones are tightly fitted together and the walkway and planters look fantastic.  The work looks great and it's obvious that a lot of attention was paid to the details.  I'm really happy we went with Go Pavers and will definitely use them again.

  • I hired Larry Hess because he was so easy to talk to and understood my vision for the yard.  The original quote was realistic considering what I wanted.  Larry is very hands-on and managed everything except the city refuse bin rental.  I especially appreciated that he applied for a rebate with our water company.  Larry also dealt with the city permitting process, which we needed due to the garden wall.  Larry arranged all the subcontractors and paid them direct, with the exception of the tree removal.  All the subcontractors that worked on this landscaping job were professional, hardworking and always cleaned up at the end of the day.
Larry estimated the job cost, but only billed actual costs.  Due to his diligence in saving money wherever he could, we came in slightly under the original estimate.  (I chose expensive lighting fixtures, which caused the electrical portion to exceed the original estimate.)
Larry is very easy to work with and is very responsive to both e-mails and phone calls. I have lost count of how many compliments we've received on our new front yard.  I highly recommend Bloom Landscaping.

  • JFK took over a partially completed project by a landscaper that had to be fired. JFK came in and, over 4 days, leveled a layer of road bed, laid a layer of sand and installed travertine pavers. Installation of the pavers involved significant grading to control site drainage and extensive cutting and shaping of stones to circle a tree grate and deal with curved steps.  JFK did the work quickly and professionally.

  • I've had Fernando's guys coming to my place every Monday for the last year or so, and they're fantastic.  They do everything they're supposed to do correctly, and they even do a little more - occasionally I'll find that they've put new succulents into one of my empty flower pots, or added small accent plants to my front garden.  Can't recommend them enough for gardening work.  I also reached out to Fernando to handle a tiling / gas fire pit job in my back yard and he got it done very affordably.

  • We absolutely love our new space and are very happy with the finished product.  The quality of the engineering and building was excellent, they easily passed every inspection and seemed to do things the right way.  The communication throughout was incredible, far better than any other contractor I've ever even heard of.  And, the finish work was "standard-plus" as they call it.  They had to come back to fix a number of things after the first time, but that was the best part of Creation Builders...they came back and fixed everything that needed to be fixed, no questions asked, and no additional charges.
This was their greatest strength of Gabriel and his team.  He was incredibly responsive to all of our desires and things we noticed and wanted changed.  I definitely have a "Type A" personality, and Gabriel patiently and consistently responded to everything I needed, and was more than fair on the cost of everything.  Even though we ended up spending more than we originally planned, the majority of that was because of additional decisions we made, and when unforeseen expenses popped up, Gabriel generously worked with us so that everyone was happy going forward.
Things took a little more time and a little more money than we had hoped...but, as I said, I would put the majority of that blame on ourselves.  Given the project as a whole, I found Creation Builders to be timely overall.
I'll also offer a couple of weaknesses as well, just because I find balanced reviews the most helpful.  I originally had hoped that they would have more creative input into our design, but most of the creative ideas had to come from my wife and I.  However, since I enjoy design and thinking through things, this didn't end up being a major problem...and I purposely didn't choose a design-build firm run by and architect because of the added cost that would be incurred from a lot of creative ideas.
Also, a lot of the finishing work had to be done twice and required us to be on top of as the project came to a close.  However, like I said, Gabriel's team was very responsive and would always come and take care of everything when we pointed it out.
I think that it is this responsiveness and consistent communication that sets Creation Builders apart as a construction company...and after my wallet stops hurting, I'd be happy to work with them again.  In many ways, the biggest thing you can ask for in a construction company is honesty, and I believe I found that in Creation Builders.
