    A Place For Mom
I loved everything about them except two things which is why I gave them a "B" for professionalism. 1. Every time you go to their website, they call you and send an email. As I was going on the website to double-check and compare facilities, I was getting a lot of calls. A login system that allowed a user to go to the site without being contacted UNLESS they wanted to be is sorely needed. They made my life so stressful! I had to turn off the sound on my phone as they called constantly!!!! I answered some and asked them to stop calling. They did not. After a month, I finally answered a call and begged them to stop. They were calling at all hours. I was exhausted from handling a number of my mother's health issues and started crying and asking them to please stop, what would it take. It slowed down, but they still called some. 2. Even when I wasn't on the site, they sent a lot of emails offering to help. Even after I told them I found a place, they sent emails. I sent emails asking them to stop emailing so much and they finally slowed down to once a day. I loved that they called less than a minute at 11:30 pm after I went onto the site the first time, but they after the initial contact, they should allow people to control how often they call. I also replied and asked them to please stop with the email. No more than once a month. They finally did. I felt completely stalked and beleaguered at a time I need space. Worst for me was they called very early in the morning which was very intrusive as I often worked late at night and needed to be able to sleep in. They would not stop for months.

    Leisure World
I have been living at Leisure World for the past four years.  It is a great place for independent, active seniors.  I love it here.  They offer many great activities and they also have free transportation throughout the city.  This is great for me as I now longer drive.  I highly recommend this facility to others.

    The Inn On The Boulivard
The Inn On The Boulivard has been taking care of my uncle since 2005 and he just loves it. It is a wonderful place and is reasonably priced for what you get. He gets 3 meals a day and take him to the doctor when he needs to go. They treat my uncle excellently. The food there is amazing, they do his laundry, and they clean his room. We love the place.

    St. Joseph Hospital
The hospital is okay. The nurses are very lax. There was a time when a nurse prepped me up for surgery when I wasn't meant to.

    Right At Home
I talked to all of them and Right At Home is very professional. I would recommend them, totally. They are very responsive. They are very professional. They sent someone out right away. You are dealing with people who are maybe under quite a bit of street or in sort of emotional situation where a family member is ill and needs to be taken care of. So, they were smart about that and very sensitive to the nature of the business. I recommended to friends. They are just very solid, that's the kind of company that you want for something that sensitive.

    PRESIDIO HOME CARE
I recommend them. They employee their caregivers, so their caregivers are not independent contractors. Their caregivers are covered, insured, have worker's comp and are bonded. If anything happens to them on the job, Presidio Home Care takes care of everything. I am not the type of person at the moment that they are lifting out of a wheelchair, but I was. They are very reliable. They only take on 30 clients at a time because they don't want to get too big, so they can't handle who they have. All of their caregivers are CNAs. They have really extensive background checks including their driving records. If they get a ticket they are out. I had cancer and had to get my treatments 45 away and they could take their car or my car. It was cheaper with my car. Everyday for 6 1/2 weeks the caregiver drove me to and from. It makes a big difference. I used another company before them that had lousy drivers and were independent contracts. Presidio Home Care is very strict about the driving. They are good. They have live-in type caregivers and sleepover. I needed sleepover while I was going through radiation. They have flexible hours that they can come and take care of you. They alternate, so instead of having one person with you all week they have two people. It is a good break. It is a small, family run company.

    St. Joseph Hospital
They are very thorough and knowledgeable of the health problem. They are very punctual and good about calling before the appointment to remind us. Jim is the nurse who takes care of him and he is very good.

    UNIVERSITY VILLAGE
They do everything they advertise and more. They take care of everything. The meals are good. The upkeep is excellent. There are a lot of activities. There are all kinds of things to do. They have music, lectures, exercise classes and so much more. Their healthcare section is excellent. We go on excursions and the charge for taking their bus is very fair. Everyone living here is very compatible in personality. They have apartments and villas. The staff is very friendly and they know everybody's name right away. If you have any maintenance issues, they come right away to fix it. It is worth the cost.
