Family Doctor reviews in Culver City

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They are very department oriented sometimes hard to get an appointment and sometimes easy.  I like the fact they are low cost.  The nurses are friendly but some of the clerical people are hard to get along with.  The treatment for my psoriasis has been very helpful.  Some departments are great and some of them could use some improvements.

  • It's advisable to have notes on hand so that you remember to ask all the pertinent questions related to your condition.
Sometimes you have to wait a bit to see the doctor, but my wait has rarely exceeded 20-30 minutes.
If I have to book an appointment quickly, he often has a slot open in the late afternoon, which is comforting.

    - Mary M.
  • They are centrally located. They can call in and see your doctor if they have any available appointments. They will call you that people have cancelled and they would get you in. Everything was central. You do not have to run over here, run over there.

  • I have been visiting him for 52 years now; he does not take any more new patients. He limits his practice to friends of his whom, he represented for a long time, and he also works for the movie studios, and with all the hot shot actors. He is a good guy, I like him, and we have been friends for a lot of years. He kept me alive and kept me well, that's what I guess I could expect from a doctor, he is always available to me.

  • I have been to him only once. I liked him enough to go back to him. I liked the fact that he took the time and he took me to his office and discussed a whole lot of things that were going on in my life. I appreciated that he also checks emails and answers questions sent in emails and that way I could do a follow up. It saves me quite a lot of time. I went to him on a recommendation.

  • The doctor is thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He was treating my herniated disk injury. The back happens to be a specialty of his. After going over my MRI results, the doctor immediately referred multiple PT practices by email. He even went over the exercises I should be doing at Physical Therapy. After two months my back is on track.

  • Dr. Mittleman has a very relaxed demeanor, never rushes you out of the exam, and takes the time to explain the medical foundation behind his recommendations and findings. He sent me a 2 page report on foods to eat and not to eat based on my condition.

  • I like that he does not rush me, but takes his time. He is very bright and friendly and very no nonsense. His office and staff is average. I don?t feel that he is late or his punctuality is bad because he gives each of his patient?s time if they need it and I know that he would give me that time as well. He is an old fashioned doctor and if he is delayed with a patient by 2 or 5 minutes is because they needed it. His manner is just so personable. He is a human being before he is a doctor and I think that is extraordinary. I don?t take insurance that does not allow me to go to him and I even went off an insurance policy because he did not come under it. He is just short of a saint in my opinion and I just really like him. He is careful to explain things so that I understand. He also teaches medical students and I think that he is just great.

  • She treats me as a whole patient and does not look just at a part of me. That is normally the way it is with general practitioners. A specialist is treating my mother and she has had a knee replacement surgery. He said that the knee was fine and she should be able to drive but that is not possible because the rest of her cannot drive. She is her mid-80s and she knows that she cannot drive very well. It is like asking the doctor if I can play the piano again meaning that I have been able to play it before. I will continue to use her in the future.
    - DIANE F.
  • He is no longer the "plan" doctor for my insurance, but Dr. Mittleman was willing to see me. We discussed my symptoms, and what might have caused them. He has a very wide expertise in adult care. He is willing to discuss remedies other than pills. He looks at the whole person. He is kind, charming, and willing to work with people who are not "perfect patients."
