Car Washing reviews in Culver City

  • Robert and Alex did an outstanding job; they were both professional and courteous; they were on time and ready to go ... My family has hire Xclusive multiple times in the past and we have always been completely satisfied ++ with their efforts and attention to "detail"

  • I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get the appt for them to come over. On the phone I had told him bird poop had gotten all over the car and it was brand new car so I needed heavy detail done because I had to use GOO GONE to get it off which left residue on the car. He said he would see what he could do. I told him there were a few scratches on the hood from the neighbor cat as well that could be buffed out easily. He said he would try.
When they showed up I thought it was the person on the phone doing the work but in reality he had brought 2 college kids that were untrained with him to do most of the work.  He supervised them and was training them on my car essentially. I didn't think I was paying $119 for college kids to detail my car with a supervisor. I thought I was getting the detailer himself and that it was worth $350.
It took them about an hour to do the job. I came out to check the car and found so many things undone that for a DETAIL should have been easily caught if truly going over the car in detail. It took me less than 5min scan to catch these things. The car was clean and vacuumed. They did not even put the exterior dressing on the car outer plastic though. No dressing to inside interior either. The residue was still present in simple to spot areas as I rubbed my finger on it telling them it should come off. So he used gasoline essentially on my car to clean it. I mean I'm fine with tricks of the trade but at least use them before I come out to inspect.
It looked like the hood scratches were buffed out until it rained a few days later and I discovered all they had done was use some trick to cover it up to pass my inspection. Scratches buffed out are actually buffed out. They had just put some kind of temp cover up on them. I requested specifically to buff them out.
I dunno. when I pay $119 thinking its $350 of work I'm really expecting $350 work or I would just go to the car wash and pay the same and at least they would machine buff out the scratch and charge $150.
The two college kids threw me. Spending 1hr on the car made me wonder how this was worth $350.
They did fix the items I pointed out though with regards to the residue left in certain areas. They did add the exterior dressing once I pointed that out too.  But me having to point stuff like that out is basic to me and made me feel like work was half baked and amateurs did it.  I mean for $15-$18 I have to point out stuff at local car wash here and there but that is expected cause they are paid so little anyways and get a bit lazy depending on who dries your car.  I would not want nor expect a couple college kids to come over and detail my car though for $119 and certainly not for $350. If its worth $350 then do $350 worth of work and don't bring college kids over to my home.  The college kids were nice guys but I didn't hire nice guys, I was hiring a professional detailer.
My guess was he hired the two college kids to reduce his work load, pay them a bit, and then train them on my car until they became detailers themselves so he could send them out on their own with his truck.  If you're going to train someone then train them in detail work not getting it done in 1hr and forgetting the small things which is why its supposed to be DETAIL work and worth $350.  I should not have to be the inspector when inspecting detail work. I should just be thanking you for how detailed a job you did and how great it looks because you were so THOROUGH in detail.  I didn't ask for crazy specific things that were not included in the deal. I dunno. I was disappointed.  I took the time to write this so this kind of thing doesn't happen to others and these crazy coupon practices telling people they are getting all this value for $ is more realistic. Just put $199 value for $119 instead of $350 for $119 so expectations are more in line.

  • The quality of this guy's work was not up to the standards of the "regulars".  The windshield was not clean on the inside and the speedometer area and gear shift (console) were still dirty.  They were working with a very dirty car (inside and out).  I have been a customer for over 20 years and will continue to patronize this business but will be more diligent before leaving.  The do a better job in the morning than later in the afternoon.

  • They did an excellent job - I couldn't have expected a better job. They removed the oxidation and now I can see the original color + and it shines! They cleaned every part on the outside of my car - he pointed out that they even cleaned inside my wheels. They also did a great job around my console on the inside. I dropped it off and came back 2 1/2 hours later - and waited around for another 20 minutes while watching them finish up the detail (I am not sure why the other person couldn't see their car since I saw them work on my car.

  • They were very professional and did careful car washing near the 405. The caliber of washers is a cut above the average with less pressure to get rid of you for the next vehicle. It offers multi-wash packages which save a great deal of money. Also, Bluewave has gas(sometimes cheap, sometimes expensive) and is next to a pretty good taco/burrito stand across the parking lot.

  • They are the best car wash I have ever been to. They take their time and do a great job.

  • Finish guy left streaks on rear window and left mat unattached.
