Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Culver City

  • had to go replace the windshield cause the neighbors kids were playing catch and got our car on the windshield luckily I was just on the way to the car when I saw it happen so i got to see that it was an accident so I didn't make a big deal about it. I had heard about Auto Aid and Rescue trough a friend so that's why I took my car there and it was easy work for them they said they do this often. They rotated and checked the air pressure on the tires for free so that was cool they did a great job so $300 for a a new windshield was easy to pay thank you auto aid and rescue.

  • Was referred by Costco because they didn't have tires to fit my car.  Talked to Greg on the phone.  He suggested  4 tires, gave a price and also suggested a good time to come in as it is first come first serve.  When I got there several people were already waiting, but I got there fairly close to opening time in the morning.  Greg suggested tires and let me know the price.  He told me the approximate amount of time he thought that it would take.  It was about 50 minutes as I recall.  I decided to walk up the street for a fast food breakfast.  When I came back, my car was ready and waiting. Then I talked to Gregory , who was polite and friendlly .  I paid him by credit card and was on my way.  The tires are working well and I am getting good gas mileage on my old Prius. Last time I got 2 tires from Lincoln Discount Tires and paid a ridiculously high amount.I feel I got very good tires at a reasonable price with great, fast service.  I will definitely go back.

  • I chose them because of the price. They didn’t have the tires I needed in stock so I had to order them. They called me when it came in and they put it on. I did have an alignment problem after they put them on so I returned. They rotated the tires and the problem went away. They seemed to be confident. It took them probably about 5 days to order the tires. That is the only place I buy tires from. The rotation is free.

  • They were polite and did the job relatively quick. They also helped me get rid of the old tires. I just dislike when they screwed back one of my tires and later on it led to a problem due to a wrong connection with the rotator. That could have been the cause but I'm not sure.

  • It was just okay. The tires are fine, pricing is great but there were some confusion between speaking with them and if you go in there and get in the actual information, so communication is not great but the pricing and tires are great.

  • Firstly, they did not honor their tires-for-life contract. The reason why they did not honor is that I did not go there for service. The reason why I did not go there was that from the time I bought the car from them, the navigation system did not work. They kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with it and I kept telling them that there was something wrong with it. Finally, they got a service person who agreed that there was something wrong with it. He told me that I would need to upgrade it, which will be $350. The car was still under warranty but he said that the warranty wouldn't cover it. The warranty did cover it. I went to another Lexus dealer and they confirmed that it was under warranty, that it was not $350 and that all I needed was a new disk and that is what they did. People at Lexus Santa Monica wanted to charge me money and were less than truthful about the condition of the system. There is nothing positive that stands about them to me. I would never deal with them again. They way over charge for a service and I have no idea what they have done with my car. I would urge others not to use their service department.

  • I thought that all in the tire service would be about $500 based on the phone call and talking with them, but I didn't get all the details. This did not include alignment, which I assumed was part of installing new tires (as it is at many other places). So, I had to pay about another $80 for this. Anyway, aside from this, the service seemed relatively good and friendly. I have never had Hankook tires before, which they worked hard to sell me. I usually get Michelin, but they swore these were just as good (despite the significant price difference). Regardless, the prices they had on their tires were very competitive. I would probably go back.

  • After reading a number of excellent reviews on Yelp and the single report on Angie's List, I thought I'd give them a try as more convenient than Costco. I shot them an e-mail for a quote and received a prompt reply from Ryan (the owner's son) with a price including mounting, balancing, valve stems, tax and disposal. The price was more than fair and after a couple of quick e-mail exchanges, we had set a day to have the tires installed. The work was done quickly and as others have noted, these folks only recommend work which is truly needed -- no unnecessary add-ons (I needed a front wheel alignment, also). All-in-all, friendly, efficient, and fairly-priced. Highly recommended. As an aside, when I asked whether he (Ryan) would mind if I put a review on Angie's List, he said only if it was a reputable site (which I assured him it was!) -- he said he only wanted "honest" advertising. Gives you a flavor of the way they do business.

  • This shop had the tires I wanted at what seemed at first to be decent prices. But note a few things. First, there are lots of add-ons, even when the company promises "free installation". Second, the guy at the counter talked a mile a minute, adding items and prices here, discounting or waiving charges, there, etc. I would advise you to resist the pressure to just sign to approve the work until every charge and every item of service is explained to you in detail. Third, they will probably try to upsell you additional items such as shocks by telling you that your car needs new ones. These things are probably par for the course with tire places but it's too bad it has to be this way.
