  • Robert and Alex did an outstanding job; they were both professional and courteous; they were on time and ready to go ... My family has hire Xclusive multiple times in the past and we have always been completely satisfied ++ with their efforts and attention to "detail"
    - Robert M.
  • Ken and his team did a great job and we are now on a 3 month renewal for him to come back and keep my cars looking new. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to get theirs cars detailed, the quality of service is 100% better then any car wash detail.

  • At one time the guys were arguing with each other in our driveway. They didn't do the level of detailing that after you walk out you take a look okay just get out here. They didn't even address that like build up in one area you could take with your thumbnail and take the build up off. They are in and out. I would grade them at "C". I didn't think that they got my money worth. There weren't interested in really doing a quality job. They look at it like this is a $99 let us get in and out as quickly as we can. I would not use them again. I wouldn't recommend them.

  • They didn't come. They didn't do anything. There was a scheduling thing going on and they couldn't do this and couldn't do that. The day we scheduled it, they didn't show up. I contacted them by e-mail after that. I talked on the phone to somebody from Angie's List and said I didn't want to use them anymore. I wasn't happy with them.

  • Have used Steve and Sean since they took over this business from Scott , the previous owner. the quality of the repair work provided is exceptional . They have worked on my wife's car ( twice) and on my last 2 cars. everything about the experience is what I want but  is seldom achieved. The owners are hands on and involved in everything....they are both detail orientated and provide the highest level of personal service, whilst Morai, in the office is always friendly and efficient.
the premises are clean, comfortable and  offer current magazines, newspapers and drinks . However the quality of repair and paintwork is what makes Brown Bros the best auto body shop I have ever used
I assure you that if you give them the opportunity to quote and then instruct them you will not be disappointed...this is a business where customer service is the only priority for everyone who works there

  • I live on a deodar cedar-lined street. Hence, my car gets regularly covered in the sap that drips from the cedars. The inside of my car was literally filled with dirt, due to the soil left over from months worth of plant and other landscape related stuff that regularly rides with me in my workhorse of a car. Ken and his assistant did not seem daunted by the amount of work that lay before them. In fact, they were very good natured, and assured me they could tackle this, no problem!
By the time they finished, the inside was so clean, the outside was shiny and practically spotless, except for a few stains that resulted from the sap having been left on too long and consequently having eaten through the paint. I couldn't wait to get in the car and drive somewhere, ANYWHERE- just so I could enjoy the clean ride!

  • I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get the appt for them to come over. On the phone I had told him bird poop had gotten all over the car and it was brand new car so I needed heavy detail done because I had to use GOO GONE to get it off which left residue on the car. He said he would see what he could do. I told him there were a few scratches on the hood from the neighbor cat as well that could be buffed out easily. He said he would try.
When they showed up I thought it was the person on the phone doing the work but in reality he had brought 2 college kids that were untrained with him to do most of the work.  He supervised them and was training them on my car essentially. I didn't think I was paying $119 for college kids to detail my car with a supervisor. I thought I was getting the detailer himself and that it was worth $350.
It took them about an hour to do the job. I came out to check the car and found so many things undone that for a DETAIL should have been easily caught if truly going over the car in detail. It took me less than 5min scan to catch these things. The car was clean and vacuumed. They did not even put the exterior dressing on the car outer plastic though. No dressing to inside interior either. The residue was still present in simple to spot areas as I rubbed my finger on it telling them it should come off. So he used gasoline essentially on my car to clean it. I mean I'm fine with tricks of the trade but at least use them before I come out to inspect.
It looked like the hood scratches were buffed out until it rained a few days later and I discovered all they had done was use some trick to cover it up to pass my inspection. Scratches buffed out are actually buffed out. They had just put some kind of temp cover up on them. I requested specifically to buff them out.
I dunno. when I pay $119 thinking its $350 of work I'm really expecting $350 work or I would just go to the car wash and pay the same and at least they would machine buff out the scratch and charge $150.
The two college kids threw me. Spending 1hr on the car made me wonder how this was worth $350.
They did fix the items I pointed out though with regards to the residue left in certain areas. They did add the exterior dressing once I pointed that out too.  But me having to point stuff like that out is basic to me and made me feel like work was half baked and amateurs did it.  I mean for $15-$18 I have to point out stuff at local car wash here and there but that is expected cause they are paid so little anyways and get a bit lazy depending on who dries your car.  I would not want nor expect a couple college kids to come over and detail my car though for $119 and certainly not for $350. If its worth $350 then do $350 worth of work and don't bring college kids over to my home.  The college kids were nice guys but I didn't hire nice guys, I was hiring a professional detailer.
My guess was he hired the two college kids to reduce his work load, pay them a bit, and then train them on my car until they became detailers themselves so he could send them out on their own with his truck.  If you're going to train someone then train them in detail work not getting it done in 1hr and forgetting the small things which is why its supposed to be DETAIL work and worth $350.  I should not have to be the inspector when inspecting detail work. I should just be thanking you for how detailed a job you did and how great it looks because you were so THOROUGH in detail.  I didn't ask for crazy specific things that were not included in the deal. I dunno. I was disappointed.  I took the time to write this so this kind of thing doesn't happen to others and these crazy coupon practices telling people they are getting all this value for $ is more realistic. Just put $199 value for $119 instead of $350 for $119 so expectations are more in line.

  • Workers arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment.  The service was completed in about one hour and 40 minutes, which was less than the 2 hours specified it would take.  The best part of the service was that it was completed at my house.  The workers were personable.

The package deal was for $119 rather than the advertised price of $375; although there was a $25 surcharge for medium-sized SUVs and a $50 surcharge for large-sized SUVs, which was not mentioned when I called to schedule an appointment.  I was asked what type of vehicle I had, so the surcharge should have been mentioned at that time.  The work product was excellent.  All of the sticky tree sap on the exterior was removed, something that professional car washing by hand never seemed to do.  The detailers were able to get out the waterstain on a seat cushion, although I was not told how long it would take for the upholstery to dry.

One awkward stituation was whether or not to tip the workers because one was the company owner.  I did ask if tips were accepted, but he didn't say anything along the lines that he personally did not accept tips or only the workers accepted tips.  I did tip them because of the fair price for the service provided.

  • I made a car detailing appointment for 9:00 a.m.  When they didn't arrive I left messages on their phone at 10:00 and 11:00.  After no response I tried emailing.  The president returned my email at 11:30 a.m. apologizing and said  someone called in sick and they would have to reschedule and he would throw in a free Teflon paint sealant and a scotchgaurd fabric treatment ($100) at no charge.   I did reschedule and they arrived early for that appointment and I was very happy with the work.

  • They showed up on time, were friendly, efficient and completed the job when they said they would. We were out of the house when they finished and they called us to let us know they were done and left the keys where we asked them.
I would highly recommend Starr Detail Inc. to anyone.
