    I called Shata Appliance Repair on a Sunday to have my refrigerator repaired. The ice maker was not working and an orange fluid was leaking from the bottom of my refrigerator. The temperature inside of the refrigerator and freezer was not cold enough either. Andrei came 90 minutes later and got my ice maker working again. An additional part needed to be ordered so he had to come back the following Friday night to complete the repair. He was professional and efficient and I really appreciate how flexible he was in scheduling the repairs for me. He came at 3 PM on Sunday afternoon and at 7 PM on a Friday night to accommodate my work schedule! Hopefully I won't need any more repairs on any of my appliances, but if I do I will definitely call Andrei again.

    i want to be very honest about this review. I called this company listed in the Neighbor to Neighbor book that came to my mailbox. I figured since there was only 1 appliance repair listed that they had done the "homework" for me......not so Technician Mike showed up during scheduled time... that was all the good news i have for them. $60 later, he couldn't find the model on my old Whirlpool stove and gave me an estimate so "out there" based on the fact he couldn't find the model #. He also had an attitude which does not help transactions go smoothly and spoke to my husband and I as if we were idiots when i asked him to explain something to us. I am disappointed and out $60. Oh and his parting words ---If i can find the model # they can come back and repair it based on what they find and --oh---i'll get the $60 applied to labor----r u kidding me??????

    My dishwasher stopped working so I called Alexander?s Appliance Repair to have it repaired. I spoke to Maria who told me that someone would come the next business day between 8 AM and 11AM. Eugene arrived on Monday, 3-21-16 as scheduled and told me that the motor pump needed to be replaced. He told me that he would call me later that day to give me an estimate for parts and labor. As promised, Eugene called later that afternoon and told me it would cost about $400.00. He said it would take about 4 or 5 days for the part to arrive and that he would call me when the part arrived so that we could schedule a return visit to install the motor pump. I was a little disappointed that it would take so long to get the part, but having no prior experience in having my dishwasher repaired for this issue before, I didn't know if 4 or 5 days to get a part is normal or not. And since I had to pay $45 for the service call (which would be credited toward the repair), I just went ahead and authorized the repair. Eugene called me back on the 5th day and told me he could come back the following Monday to repair my dishwasher. He came back as scheduled and fixed my dishwasher. Eugene was very nice and did a good job of fixing my dishwasher. He did not make a mess, came on time, and gave me a discount as listed on their website. I just wish my dishwasher could have been fixed faster since it took a week to get my dishwasher fixed, but again, to be fair, I don?t know if that is an abnormally long time to have a motor pump replaced for a dishwasher that is a little over 3 years old. Overall, I am happy with the service I received and would use them again if ever one of my appliances needs to be repaired.

    First off, the demeanor of the person who came out to work on my stove was incredibly condescending.  Seemed that any question was wasting their time.
    So, I needed to replace a part in order for my broiler to work.  All seemed fine the day it was fixed, although it was slow to ignite.  I mentioned this but was told that was the way it is.  I have a tenant who moved in and hadn't used the broiler right away, and just told me it's not working.  It has been 37 days since the service, and they apparently only guarantee their work for 30 days.  The person on the phone told me it is most likely another part, so in order to figure this out, they would charge me another service call fee of $45.  I'm curious how he knew it would be another part when the same issue was happening?  How did the person who fixed it not see that there would be something else wrong with it?   To me, that is so wrong and the worst customer service not to at least see if it's the same problem.  And to charge another service call to just see?  And, on top of it, he was incredibly rude on the phone. 
    Great or even good customer service goes a long way.  I love spreading the word when someone is kind and works with you.

    I bought a service big deal on Angie's List so that I could ascertain whether I could repair my vintage 1960s wall oven, which worked perfectly but needed to be vented properly, and to have someone take a look at my furnace.  I was told upon Igor's arrival that he could not look at the furnace because he wasn't licensed to fix them.  No problem.  I emailed Universal Appliance Services and notified them that Igor could not advise me on the furnace and they responded quickly to refund half of the Big Deal expense since it was originally for the inspection of two appliances and now Igor would only be looking at one.  They were fast and professional with this and I appreciated it.
    With the oven, I did explain via email and again to Igor when he arrived that this oven had not been vented properly and I was mainly interested in finding out how this could be corrected or if this could be corrected.  This is a wall oven under the counter and the previous contractor redirected the vent which causes the countertop to get very warm when I bake anything - that seems unsafe so I wanted to know Igor's expert opinion on the matter.  Initially, Igor refused to believe me that the vent of my oven was located where I was explaining until I dug out some actual photos so that he could finally see what was under our counter.  Only then did he finally say that there was nothing to be done and that newer is better anyway.  I shouldn't have an old oven, but I should just remove the cabinetry and the cooktop and get a new push-in range.  Well, that wasn't particularly helpful.  He seemed more intent on the easy solution rather than what my main concerns were for the oven.  But even that was ok; I did call him for his opinion.  What I found frustrating was feeling like he had no interest in hearing just actual facts before advising me, like where the vent was located, and even less interest in hearing what I was trying to achieve.  It's ok if what I wanted was not achievable, but he could have at least heard everything I had to say before telling me definitively that "nothing could be done." He seemed like a nice guy, but maybe we were just having difficulty communicating...

He arrived punctually and installed parts. He accepted coupon for $100 towards labor and gave me a bill for remainder - reasonable price and efficient service.
