AAdvance Remodeling IdeasIt’s a beautifully built home. Every detail was considered including where to install internet tv connections. The gas fireplaces in the L/R and Master Bdrm are functional and beautiful. The kitchen countertops are top of the line as well as all fixtures in bathrooms. AHorizon Construction & Remodeling IncI hired Mark Besnos and Enna of Horizon Construction and Remodeling in the spring of 2019 to do a complete kitchen remodel which included removing a load bearing wall and removing a gas fireplace. The actual construction began with the demolition in mid-July and the job was completed the last week of October. I had a great experience overall despite the usual stresses of a home remodeling project (and living in the house during construction). Mark listened to my ideas and concerns and he helped me bring the beach cottage home of my dreams to fruition. He was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on every aspect of the project. Mark and Enna invited me to their showroom in Fullerton and showed me a wide variety of materials (flooring, tile, Quartz, cabinetry, etc.) to choose from. I appreciated Mark’s attention to detail, thorough explanation of our contract, extensive resources, and consistent open communication. Mark was the project manager for my remodel and he was onsite regularly to oversee his crew. I always felt as though my project was Mark and Enna’s top priority. Any time I had a question or concern, Mark and/or Enna, promptly took my call or immediately called me back. Mark was committed to keeping the project on schedule as much as possible, even when unforeseen delays occurred due to materials being held up. He always had a plan B to keep things moving. All of his crew members were very reliable, courteous, and dedicated. Many of his crew members even came to my house on weekends. I am extremely happy with my new, improved, expansive kitchen, living, and dining room. I absolutely love it! A huge Thank You to Mark, Enna, the incredible office staff (Genesis and Vanessa) and to all of the skilled craftsmen at Horizon for creating a beautiful home for my family!- Dawn C.

AHorizon Construction & Remodeling IncHorizon construction and Remodeling did a major kitchen remodel for us including removal of walls, fireplace, and reconstruct a large portion of our ceiling. They literally transformed our kitchen! After checking out many others, we decided to choose Horizon Construction and Remodeling because of all the great reviews. After meeting the staff, our project manager David Eskin and reading all the positive reviews we knew we made the right decision. The staff is wonderful. Very caring, respectful and honest. Our kitchen turned out beautiful. We are very happy with the outcome! Demolition was right on schedule and the crew was excellent, very fast and left the job neat at the end of the day. We did however encounter a set back which caused a long pause after demolition. This lengthened the job quite a bit and added additional expense and inconvenience (we feel) could have been avoided with a more through inspection (pre-demo). All the staff at Horizon are great to work with. David our project manager is terrific. He is easy to work with and very helpful. He provided suggestions that were very helpful and added to the beauty of our job. There were times he could have lost his patience because of my indecisiveness but never once did! He’s a true gentleman. Caesar our cabinet maker is a master at his trade. We love his work and are so pleased with our cabinets! Something notable that you may not find in many other constructions companies. With Horizon, once the project ends, they treat you with the same kindness as the day you signed the contract. DThomas, sales, assured & described remedy for each concern including low spot where water pools. Admitted that they are not the low bid because they are superior in workmanship. Delayed start due to material pick-up. told it would still be dry by 5pm. Lawrence walk the project identified all issues including the only low spot where water pools. the crew worked efficiently enough to solicit and complete two neighbor's projects that same day. cracks were still very visible. Lawrence said I would have to wait 6 months and repeat the process for and additional $1500 to completely fill the cracks. The area did not dry by 5 but took over 24 hours to be walkable. I paid them in full immediately. A week later the water pooled at the low spot as before. no difference. I sent photos with an email. No response from the company. I followed up with a phone call. Lawrence said there was nothing they could do and refused to come look. I am very disappointed.

AI received several quotes on my bathroom remodel and my final decision was LA Expert Builders. Their offer was very acceptable and they accepted my requests and also seemed to be most professional. The project started on time, went smoothly and was finished on time. All workers were responsible, professional and clean. AFirst and foremost, Pete and his crew are all good guys, courteous, pleasant to talk with, and very hard working. No doubt about it, they know their stuff! Their concrete work is second to none. The finished product is some of the best I've seen. There were two minor issues. One, they damaged a Honeysuckle that was goring over the water spigot trying to access the water spigot. Partly my fault, Knowing how much water it takes for concrete finishing work, I should have pointed it out on the first day. I had to hack down almost all of bush/vines to free the wire trestle to bend the trestle back into shape. Also while they were rooting around for the hose bib they knocked off of the control box for my auto-watering system. A quick reconnect of the control box and all was well. The Honeysuckle has recovered nicely. So... Initially frustrating, in the long run, no harm. Two is he quoted me $3,800.00 for the job. On the day before the pour he told me he ordered a higher grade of concrete and asked for $200.00 more. Now, from my perspective (both professionally and personally) an additional 5.5% on a change order is not unexpected and reasonable so I said fine, no problem. That ate the tip I had planned on giving them anyway so it didn't cost me any more than I planned. And I got a concrete pad I can park an M1A2 Abrams on should the need arise. I highly recommend them. In fact, when I can afford it, I will call Pete back to do my driveway... This time I'll show him where the hose bib is from the front. :-)

Anyone who has even dabbled with construction in the past knows how rare it is to find someone who will show up, do what they say when they say they will, and see it through to the end. CBM hit every mark, every single time. Not once in our 5 month project did I wonder "when will they get back to me" "where are we holding, are we ok" or "am i getting screwed (which lets be honest it happens more often than you want to admit in this industry)? I had multiple quotes for this job and I chose Simply because their price was reasonable, and they have been around for many years. Our consultant, was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining how the system would work and answering all my questions. AFernando and Go Green not only built our dream home, but became a part of our family. He and his team worked daily with care, compassion and were always professional and respectful to our living space and our neighbors. The original portion of our home was built in 1925. Fernando and his crew added a home on the back of our home, a swimming pool, two additional bathrooms and much more, all while my family of 4 lived in the original space. Construction can be very stressful but Fernando and his team always made us feel at ease. We knew we were in good hands. The best part is that all construction was completed and permits were signed off just before the pandemic. We felt like we were the luckiest family on earth living in this beautiful home while working and doing online school.
