    SEIDNER'S COLLISION CENTER
We were guided to Seidners by the insurer of the person who hit us. It had taken a LONG time to finally get a response from the insurance company so at this point we wanted the car fixed and the ordeal over with. Ha !   Our car is a bit older and we get that parts are not always readily available. They had our car for at least six weeks. The communication between their representative and us was horrible. It's hard enough to be down a car but it's worse when you have to babysit the repair. We got in an argument over bumper repair and it did have some pre-existing paint peeling (no dents, no other damage) and apparently they wanted to charge me out of pocket to take care of that.  I didn't understand why this would be holding up the repair of the side of the car that got clobbered.  After arguing on the phone for 2 days about it, said just forget the bumper, fix the dang car. Still hadn't heard any updates on the car and when I called now there was some conversation about totaling the car.  I called the insurance companies (mine and the other persons and they said that wasn't being considered)  Ended up talking to a manager who promised me a date it would be ready, that came and went.  Still hadn't heard back from our adviser there on a revised delivery date.  They had taken the liberty of signing my husband's name to the back of the insurance check as well.  That for me was the last straw.  I called the insurance, had the check re-issued in my name and sent to me.  Went to Seidner's to pick up the check they signed and they couldn't find it.  It showed up in my mail box a week later.    The car looked ok but come to find out later the back window wouldn't go down.  Seidners does a follow up survey with its customers.   I apologized in advance to the survey guy.  I even asked for Mr. Seidner to call me himself.  The regional manager called and we had a nice talk.  I'd used Seidners in Alhambra before and ran into problems with them too.  The regional manager offered to do the bumper for me and I'm thinking NOW you want the car back, highly unlikely.  I said thanks but no.  What was really odd was since they didn't do the bumper, there was an overpayment from insurance.  I don't understand why they didn't apply that to doing the bumper and just have the job complete.   Honestly this was just an awful experience all the way around and not totally Seidners fault.  The insurance companies played some part in this.
The lack of communication was the downfall.  The regional manager did his best to save face for the company but it was too late.  Mr. Seidners son works at his car dealership Toyota of Glendora and I'd even asked him to have his dad call me and no, nothing.

A friend got in an accident and ended up going there per the suggestion of her insurance and had problems too.  Opened the hood and they'd forgotten to reattach part of the fender and some other items under the hood.    opps.        Our cousin took his car there, also at the recommendation of the insurance ... and the only reason he had a good experience was because Seidners had to sub contract the job because it was stolen catalytic converters -- no body work was done.
The body work itself was good, the paint looks ok ....   the service itself, not the best.         Wishing Marco(Marco's Auto Body)  had not sold his body shops.  He was the best.

ONE DAY PAINT & BODY CTR
Our 1996 Toyota Camry had received an extremely bad paint job several years ago by a company who has since gone out of business so we were left with no recourse on the guarantee that had been provided.  The paint had faded, spotted, chipped and the car looked like someone lived in it.  It was getting worse by the month and no amount of wax or other products could make it look presentable.  Still mechanically sound, we decided to repaint rather than purchase another car.  We heard many good things from friends and also our mechanic about One Day Paint and Body in Covina.  I took the car there and spoke with Jari (Jerry) Gonzalez.  He showed me all the options and provided a very fair estimate to not only paint, but also to  sand & buff, repair body dings, replace the headlight covers and put in a new windshield.  After hearing my sob story about the previous bad paint job, he also realized that we were concerned about our past experience and sure didn't want that to happen again.  Jari's confidence and pride in their shop's work was clearly evident.  He gave me a tour of the facility and showed me cars that had been recently painted or that were in the various stages of completion.  There were a number of classic cars that were being worked on.  As a car lover I know that people wouldn't take their classic 50's and 60's car to just any shop.  That convinced me that I was in good hands and I had no qualms of dropping off my car to get the work done.  I chose a stock Lexus color that was similar to the original color of our Camry, but prettier because of the pearl color.   They had my car for 6 days - I was expecting 8 days and was very surprised and pleased when I got the call that it was finished 2 days early.  My husband was out of town so one of the gentlemen at the shop came to our house on a Saturday evening and took me back to the shop to pick up the car.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  It looks like a new car.  Not only had they done a stellar job on the paint and body work, they had detailed the entire inside of the car.  They also replaced the rubber gasket on the back windshield.  The headlights are no longer yellow and there was no trace of the old paint.  The new finish shines like a mirror.   We couldn't be happier with the outcome and are happy to provide good recommendations to anyone who asks.

    Covina Collision Repair
I got two quotes for the repair. Covina Collision came in significantly lower than the other quote and the manager, Jaime, was very personable and knowledgeable, so it was an easy decision. Dropped the car off on Monday and it was ready to be picked up by Tuesday afternoon. Very happy with the service.

    SEIDNER'S COLLISION CENTER
Very good. I scheduled an appt to drop off the car first thing Monday morning due to a rear-end collision and picked up Saturday morning. Other than the rude Mercury adjuster both Seidner's and myself had to deal with, the experience was very smooth. The Mercury inspector came later in the day, Seidner's called back with the estimate and I worked it out with the insurance inspector and Seidner's called back when the car was finished. I met with the Seidner's estimator when I picked up the car and he explained the repairs in detail.

THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. I HAD TO BRING MY CAR BACK A TOTAL OF 10 TIMES FOLLOWING THE INITIAL REPAIR. DUE TO ITEMS SUCH AS MY TURN SIGNALS AND AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING FOLLOWING THEIR REPAIR.
