    Tropical Breeze Custom Pools
Up until this point Tropical Breeze has been a nightmare filled with lies that have just unraveled. Don Hubble presented himself as christian man but came up far short of an honorable person. Don came to our home and gave us a price. He then came back at a later date with a Proposal which was a higher than the first quoted price. The reason for the price change was noted and questionable but agreeable, and we signed the Proposal and gave him a deposit. From that point on excuse after excuse was given, and lie after lie was told by Don and JJ's name often came up as the messenger. We signed the Proposal on December 22, 2018, and gave Don Hubble our deposit check, engineering pool plans, and building and safety inspection card. As of February 16, 2019, nothing had been done. We have learned Tropical Breeze even attempted to sub-contract the job to other pool companies. After further research into Tropical Breeze, we uncovered from others in the pool business and licensing, Tropical Breeze is less than honorable and known to try an up-sale, run up the price after securing the deal, and even sub-contracting jobs after they secure them. I would suggest you stay away from Tropical Breeze Custom Pools. The headache and waste of time is not worth it. After all of this Tropical Breeze has not returned our deposit check, engineering pool plans, our safety inspection card, and it has been two months. Stay away, Far away. I wish I could give them less than a zero rating.

    KLSF Concrete
I'm extremely happy with the finished product. I'm upset at what it took to get there. We had a 74 foot retaining wall built, a walkway in our front yard with steps and a mow curb built. Kevin came out on a Sunday to bid the job, I was happy with the price and I chose him simply because the amount of reviews he had on Angie's List and Home Advisor. I wish I had taken the time to get quotes from other contractors. Him and his crew began the job right away. They used a bobcat to dig up the front lawn (which I was going to toss the grass behind the new retaining wall once it was complete). Kevin sent two guys and they hand dug the entire 74 foot footing for the retaining wall by hand. After it was dug a few days later they installed all the rebar. I got a permit from the City of Corona to build the wall (honestly the easiest part of this whole ordeal) which required several inspections to be done during the process of building the wall. 1st inspection to see the footing and rebar, 2nd inspection to see the poured footing, 3rd inspection once the wall was stacked and final inspection after they (KLSF) filled the wall. I'm really happy that I got the permit and the inspections because I feel it really saved my butt in the long run. After the first inspection happened, Kevin ordered 12 yards of concrete and a pumper to come to the house one morning. I was at work and I have several cameras on my property that I could watch his progress simply because I was curious. Just before they started pumping concrete into the footing I noticed them on the cameras putting large chunks of concrete and rock debris in my footing before they filled it with concrete. I called the city inspector and they said that's 100% illegal to do in a retaining wall. The inspector agreed to meet me at my home right away. By the time we got there the entire footing was 100% filled up. The inspector asked if I had proof and I showed him the video's and pictures from my cameras. He asked Kevin why and Kevin told the inspector he thought he was allowed 10% of fill material. The inspector told him he's not allowed any fill material, and judging by some of the debris in my photos that they were larger than 10% at that. He ordered Kevin to dig out all of the concrete. I felt really bad for his workers. They spent the entire day digging out my footing (roughly 24 inches wide about a foot deep and 74 feet long). By the time they got to the last 10 to 15 feet the concrete was solid and they had to jack hammer it out. All of the rebar was destroyed. I'm upset that if Kevin has been in business for 20+ years in Riverside/Corona area that he would have known that you're not allowed anything except concrete in a retaining wall footing. Or maybe he was trying to pull a fast one on me and put debris in there so he would have to purchase less concrete?? I honestly don't know. So he had to redo the rebar, another footing inspection on that, repour the concrete (this time I physically stood there and watched them pour concrete), stack the wall, inspect the wall, fill the wall and inspect that. The finished product I'm really happy with, the wall looks amazing, the walkway with steps look amazing and the mocurb looks amazing. The only thing I'm left with is speculation on did he know you can't put debris in a retaining wall footing since he's been serving this area for 20+ years? Or did he do it intentionally to save a few bucks on concrete? I'll let you decide.

    West Hills Masonry
I am not 100% satisfied. They do quality work. Their grass guys are amazing and we got more space then we thought we were going to get between the tiers of the retaining walls, which is fantastic. Now we can use that to have an eating area with a view of the mountains. Also our driveway is now wide enough to fit 3 cars, which is great as there is not a lot of parking around our place. I am disappointed in the communication as not everything that had been discussed before starting the project came to fruition and we were so excited with everything that we had discussed at the final walkthrough, but as my mother said make sure you get every detail in writing or it will get forgotten. The things that were missed were little, but those are the things that will stick out to me every time I walk outside. Attached are before and after photos.

I will always use Ozzie and Uneek Landscape. He is a visionary with seeing lines, and how to get the best and most attractive use of space as well as plant selection, custom concrete finishing, beautiful stucco and bar tops...just great work. We are embarking on another project with Uneek now and our latest house. Complete patio cover, concrete, landscaping, planting etc. He is the best!

    RB Remodeling & Landscape Construction
Very well. My husband and I had already chose finish materials we wanted to use so we didn't have to worry about that. We used this company before recently for outdoor stuff and it went really well. We had RB completely remodel the kitchen and master bathroom with all new cabinets, electrical and plumbing stuff. Quartz countertops, flooring, tile shower, plaster work, all the finish stuff as well. It all looks very nice and we are very pleased. I will take some photos and post some before and after stuff as soon as I get a chance.

    West Coast Bobcat Excavation
He put up a patio cover in solid wood. He made sure that the lumber was good quality and not cheaply made. He also did the cement work under the patio cover. He did a good job, was professional, and the service was fairly priced. He communicated clearly how he was going to do the service and when he was going to do it. If he was late, he would always let me know. Anytime he showed up it was always at the time he stated, which can be rare for contractors. He also installed a granite bar on the patio.

    Cesar Chavez Construction
Most of the work was good with the exception of the wainscoting, he said that we gave him the paint and that is what he used. It looks unfinished. If that was not the right paint he should have said so and we could have giving him the correct paint. As it is it looks dull and unfinished. Also the seems do not look good. I asked him to re-paint and he said It would be extra. Did not like his attitude

    Cesar Chavez Construction
Cesar and his helper arrived promptly.  I had sent a picture to Cesar prior to his arrival so he was aware of the problem.  Cesar and his helper went right to work and within a very short time was able to reattach the cabinet front using more appropriate screws and wood glue.  Cesar and his helper were very nice and were very professional.  I will definitely call him again.

    Cal Neva Concrete

This is a revised rating of Cal Neva Concrete's work.

I had originally given them an "A" rating based on the work performed, but shortly after the concrete cured I started noticing a white powder coming out of the concrete.  It started near the edges, but then became an issue all over.  Long story short, the concrete is defective and has started to deteriorate and crumble -- its been just over 90 days since it was poured. Any type of water or moisture on the concrete causes the concrete to push this white stuff out, then the concrete crumbles and leaves a pitted crater.  Looks absolutely terrible.

I called Vincent, owner of Cal Neva Concrete, and at first I had some hope that he would resolve it.  Initially he wanted to wait for it to fully cure.  Then he wanted to walk to the concrete supplier.   Then he told me it was the water and dirt in Corona that was causing it....lots of stories, lots of stall tactics.  Finally got him to come and look at the issue and then he said he would need to perform some type of acid wash or something to remedy the issue.  Whatever....just wanted it fixed.  That was 3-4 weeks ago he's been playing games every since.  Says he'll come out, then doesn't show-up or call to let me know he's not coming.  I have to call and track him down, then more excuses and games on why he didn't come and why he can't come this week.  He was a no-show again last week and hasn't even bother returning my it looks like I'll have to take legal action to get this resolved.

Attached are picture of Cal Neva Concrete's work and the type of quality you can expect from them.  The patio looks absolutely awful and it's been a terrible experience dealing with them.   At any rate, I would never do business with Cal Neva Concrete again and do not recommend them.
