  • I was very pleased with Vidal Flooring. They were very prompt and finished the project in the estimated time. Also, they made suggestions regarding different styles. They cleaned up behind themselves every night. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again.

  • Very well. My husband and I had already chose finish materials we wanted to use so we didn't have to worry about that. We used this company before recently for outdoor stuff and it went really well. We had RB completely remodel the kitchen and master bathroom with all new cabinets, electrical and plumbing stuff. Quartz countertops, flooring, tile shower, plaster work, all the finish stuff as well. It all looks very nice and we are very pleased. I will take some photos and post some before and after stuff as soon as I get a chance.

  • It was truly a pleasure dealing with Compare Carpets. The entire process, from selecting our carpet to installation, was wonderful. Jay was professional, courteous, and helpful in everything from helping us select the ideal carpet for our home, to the in-home visit to measure, to addressing all our questions and concerns. The installers were professional, efficient, and personable. They took great care with our furniture and did a great clean up following the installation. This company takes quality and customer service seriously. We highly recommend Compare Carpets and Hardwood, Inc..

  • John's customer service is very lousy! Initially, he came to talk to my husband and I about the job and gave us full assurance that he would be able to complete the job.  He sent an unlicensed worker to complete the job and never came back to supervise the job. We called him several times to come and supervise the job or to discuss details of the job.  He would only wanted to correspond over the phone with us.  After removing all of the carpet from our stairs,  his unlicensed worker said that he was unsure if he knew how to complete our stairs (2 staircases).  So we called John to talk to him about it and he said that our stairs were warped or pitched but they would be able to fix them.  Our home is a fairly new estate home (7 years old) and we didn't agree that the stairs were warped so we called another contractor (a staircase specialist) for an estimate of what it would cost to fix our stairs.  The contractor laughed and said that there was nothing wrong with our stairs and that he could install our wood elegantly on our stairs and he didn't need to fix them first.  We spoke to John and explained to him that we no longer felt comfortable having him do our stairs because we didn't believe that they knew how to do it and we were not prepared to have a reconstruction of our already elegant staircases done.  John was upset and wanted to still charge of us for the stairs. After going back and forth with him he finally decided to remove the 2 staircases from the bill.

His worker installed the wood flooring in four bedrooms, a loft, and four hallways.  The installer did a good job installing the wood.  Whenever the installer transitioned to a different room in the home he changed the direction of the wood depending on the flow of the home.  When John did finally come to my home to supervise the job, he informed that we will be charged for every wood direction change regardless of if it was going with the flow of the home or not.  John never previously discussed an extra charge to change direction of the wood.  He was never there to supervise and tell us otherwise either.  While the installer was install the wood he dropped wood glue all over the wood all over my house.  He didn't realize that he had drop the wood glue so it dried on the beautiful, very expensive, wire brushed white oak floors that he had just installed!  When I brought it to his attention he attempted to wipe it up however it had already hardened.  There were approximately 40 drops of glue everywhere over 2500 sq. ft. of flooring. We called John to explain what happened and he informed us that he would be sending another worker out to scrub the glue off of the wood floor with a wire brush and some oil.  The worker came over and scrubbed the wood with the wire brush as best he could however some of it would not come off, some areas showed signs of wood bleaching from the constant scrubbing, in two areas it caused the wood to be lifted up which then caused splinters for my kids in the foot and buttocks while they were playing on the floor in their home! He also never completed the installation.  There are T-moulding's and stairnoses where the floor ends and the stairs begin that still need to be installed! It has been one big nightmare!

This situation has still never been resolved!  John refused to replace the wood planks that his worker ruined.  He has been unreasonable throughout the entire process! We paid him $17,000.00 to date and he sent us another bill for $5000.00 from his attorney.  We are currently in litigation!

I'm not sure if I will be using anyone else from Angie's List! This is the worst contractor experience I have ever had!

  • He was recommended by my friend.  He was a nice guy and he did good work.  It was my first time to use them.  He gave me a reasonable price and they did the work for like five days.  Three guys for five days...it was pretty reasonable for me.  They were really good and professional.  They did a good job and I am really happy.

  • almost 2 MONTHS LATER the work is still not complete.  They show up without all the material they need and have to come back another day.  I say run as far away from this company as you can.  The list I have been keeping about all the things that went wrong are too numerous to list here.  Feel free to call me any time.

  • So the process started with our long list of needs and wants.  After that Ray was confident he would meet or exceed or expectations, I was skeptical as my wife and I are very particular about what we like and the type of work we expected.  Ray did a few full design sessions with us where we could pick out paint, tile, tile floor design, carpet, backsplash, appliances, fixtures, etc etc till we had everything we wanted.  He designed the kitchen layout and even a custom beverage center that we had never thought of doing.  Ray gave us an overall job timeline and worked with us to get the 2nd story of the home completely done fast so we could move into the upstairs while the rest of the remodel was being done.  I have never been the type to give a job to somebody I have hired and not oversee every single detail along the way, until now!!  Ray and his guys were unbelievable, they went above and beyond on so many of the big jobs and so many of the small details.  Ray found some wooden built in's that were an older style wood like our banister and he suggested that we re stain them to match the bannister because it would look funny otherwise.  He replaced all the plugs/switches in the house and put new covers on.  They moved some lights around to the new rooms, I mean the list goes on and on and on about the level of detail and precision with which the work was being done.  Ray will be the last contractor I ever hire again.  I do not know how many times I asked Ray for a small tweak here or a small change there and he always had the same answer, yes we can do that no problem, and always made suggestions on how to make things even better.  Ray is the type of guy that will under promise and over deliver and that is the kind of guy I like working with.  I have to say when all was said and done I consider Ray a friend he treated my house like it was his and did everything he could to make the house perfect.  When he and his guys were done it was like we had a brand new house from top to bottom.

  • They were very punctual at the appointment for the quote, as well as for the install. The workers were all business, working the whole time, not much chit chat. Floors look great. We had them come back after a couple of weeks to seal the grout, which they did a great job on as well. During the job, when my husband had a few questions, the workers were very responsive and the owner was also responsive, even coming out to see the progress.

  • Ron came out to our home and provided us with an estimate and we decided to go with Bellmont Carpets and Wood Flooring. Most of our cost was because of the wood going on the  stairs. We had several other estimates on installing wood on  the stairs, which by the way is a costly project depending on how many stairs you need done. Their price was very fair.
This company has been in business for a long time and had a good BBB rating, the customer service is good and that is why we choose to use Bellmont Carpets. Our job took approximately 3 days, the installers were on time everyday and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with this company and will use then again in the future.

  • Called for simple carpet repairs, Damien was unable to comprehend what I was requesting; Install three carpet seams and three carpet to tile transitions. He insisted he needed to visit to quote, no issues with that do made appointment. Damien called one hour before the appointment to cancel saying something came up. I called his office to complain and after they got him on the phone I was told he would be there as scheduled. He showed up and advised they were very busy and it would take some time to schedule. It's been three weeks and no call, quote, or services completed. Total failure from start to noon finish.
