Steve called me immediately after I completed my request on Angie's List, and made a same-day appointment. He called before arriving on time, and was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate (which was a bit more than I anticipated, but still seemed fair), then replaced the springs on my garage door, tuned it up, and reset it so that it works well now. He also added a bolt lock to the door. I was very satisfied with his overall service, and I highly recommend him.

I agreed to repair because of security concerns.  Visit $85.  Ok. Parts s $150l.  No way.  Labor to install $200.  Seemed high.  I agreed to repair for security reasons.  He offered a 5% discount which I declined. Very competent to handle the large door by himself.

1/24/14 On the garage door,he didn't like the results of the first stain and it
was done over at no added cost. We were very pleased with the results.

    Precision Overhead Garage Door Service
Great.  Main spring broke Sunday afternoon, called them at 4pm, they quoted arrival between 6-8, they arrived at 6:30, everything was done by 8:00.  Professional, friendly, fast.  Yes, a bit expensive (though they did overall all hardware), but very much worth it - fixed on a Sunday, and basically rebuilt garage door.  I would definitely use again.

The experience turned out very well. I was very happy with it. The person who came out was the owner of the business, and he was very nice, and very polite. He came when he said he would come, and he did a good job. He gave me two options, one less expensive option, and one more expensive option for restoration, which I didn't choose. I chose the less expensive option which was fine. I was happy.

    Precision Overhead Garage Door Service
He was excellent, he showed up on time. My garage doors are particularly loud because they are not roller doors, and he tried to muffle the sound as much as he could. He gave me some advise of putting some items around the door so as not to get so much dust. He was excellent. I think the young man that came out was knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me suggestions to further muffle the door, and he left me his card, and said if I ever wanted to do that, I should call him. The pricing was fine, it was exactly what I paid for.

    Heritage Garage Door
After the work was done, the garage door and opener were less noisy, but they still made more noise than I was led to believe they would. I pointed that out to the installer. He called headquarters and I was put in touch with the salesman who sold me the job.. The salesman was very confrontational- he just kept repeating over and over that they had installed the most quiet opener available, that there was nothing more they could do (he hadn't been to the property to evaluate the new installation), and he insisted that I give a check to the installer for the full balance due. I gave the installer only part of the money that was due, and the installer left. I continued to complain about the noise level (to someone at headquarters). Eventually but begrudgingly, they sent someone out to look at the job. He made several adjustments, and most of the offensive noise did in fact go away, and I paid the full balance due.

But that is not the end of the story. A few months later, a strange noise developed. I lubricated various joints, etc. but it didn't help. So I called the company and asked them to come look at it. I was told that I would be charged for the visit plus any repairs. I pointed out that I was within the1 year warranty period (given to me orally and in writing). I was then told that someone would call me back to set up an appointment. But no one called. So I called again. I was then told that someone had reviewed the paperwork, and that only the opener was covered by the warranty (but not the garage door nor any of the related hardware, e.g., the large springs they attached to it). I found this most interesting since the contract with Heritage states that there was and quot;a one year warranty on workmanship provided by Heritage Door.and quot; Most of the cost of this project was attributable to the door and related hardware, not the new opener. The salesman had told me there would be a 1 year warranty on the job- he didn't say it would only cover the opener. I'm no expert, but it sounds like the current noise is coming from the springs. Perhaps they weren't installed properly, or perhaps they need to be adjusted. I shouldn't have to pay to correct this type of problem, but if I do, I might as well retain a different company, one that will stand behind their work and honor their promises.

The service person , Dan Frost, Showed up on time and fixed a broken slat in my garage door that had become jammed out of place. He also rest the clickers to work, and gave me a new one. He inspected both doors and set both clickers. It was a very good service call.

A nice guy came at the agreed upon time and gave me a quote. He was knowledgeable and helped me make a few decisions. I decided to go with C and W because C and W had a good Angie score, even though I had another similar quote from another nice guy. I was instructed to make sure the work-area was clear for the installers or there would be a penalty and the installers would leave. The installers were very good and very quick and spoke good English. The only thing they missed was the emergency release (key) mechanism, which was not on the work request. The quote guy came out the next day and installed it free of charge with a sincere apology. The job is perfect.
