Communication from Dave was excellent!  Quick and timely response.  First visited home to inspect work needed and was clear in the scope of work to be done.  Was also very helpful in communicating with ALT to let them know were in the process of making corrections.  Quality of work was excellent, from weed eating to tree trimming to clearing off all leaves and needles from the roof and gutters.  Would highly recommend and will use again!

    SIERRA LAND IMPROVEMENT
They showed up on time, worked hard, and completed the job in one day, as promised. Their estimate was accurate - there were no surprises or extra costs. They provided a large water truck, and watered down areas they were working in, so working during the summer is not a danger.

    Rivas Landscaping
It started pretty well. He drew up a plan, we selected plants, etc, and he was quite attentive. I signed a contract and was assured there was a one-year guarantee on all his work, including the plants. He also assured me he would come out in the spring or summer to check the work and fix whatever was needed.
I should have become suspicious when, after I'd already paid him up front for half the job, he asked me to use my credit card to buy the landscaping stone. After that, he became much less professional. He was slow starting the job, delaying it several times before getting out here on a cold and snowy day. From there, it was really downhill. Many of the plants immediately died. The deer ate many more of the plants he'd assured me were appropriate for my location. He failed to complete the sprinkler system and it took several phone calls to get him out here to finish it. Then, of course, there were all the dead plants. First, he said the nursery wouldn't honor the guarantee that they'd live a year because they had frozen. Duh!!! Planted on a cold and snowy day and not deep enough. The top inch or two of the root ball was above the ground for quite a few of them. Then he simply quit returning telephone calls.
So, today, seven months later, half the plants are dead or eaten to nubs, the sprinkler system that wasn't buried deep enough can be seen above the ground, and he won't return a call.

    Green Valley Nursery & Landscape
I like to patronize small/local businesses, I went to this business for that reason. I wanted to purchase several bush plants to install into my front lawn to start a hedge. Unfortunately, I was ignored the whole time I was there. There were many customers, but only one person that was helping customers and she was on the phone. There were two other employees in the back office, but they would not come out to help with the customers who were onsite. I noticed other customers waiting were frustrated as well. I attempted to locate the items I was looking for, but no one in the nursery to help and the layout of the facility was not intuitive. I waited for about twenty minutes and the employees in the back office still would not come out and help the onsite customers and the one person at the cashier's station, was on the phone. I guess the business is doing well, as they apparently do not need to wait on customers at their yard, I finally gave up and went to another nursery to complete my purchase. I did not realize the bushes I selected were so expensive, I selected the bush as it is deer-resistant and drought tolerant. I would not attenpt another purchase at this facility as I was made to feel that I was in their way, the nursery down the road a few miles away, was a local/small business and treated me very well.

    Green Tree Trimming & Removal
Working with a certified arborist, Patrick (owner of Green Tree Trimming) trimmed oak trees and removed others that I wanted removed to improve the fire safety on my property. He was very professional and conscientious about his work.

I've used Colt before (about 5 years ago) and he is just the best. He is an ISA-certified arborist and knows his stuff. He's an expert climber and NEVER uses spikes, which harm trees. He's exceptionally knowledgeable and astute about trees, particularly oaks. And I am also an arborist (not the climbing kind) so I really appreciate finding someone who is so conscientious about their work.

    Osborn General Engineering & Construction
It was totally amazing to watch the construction of these rockery walls. Rock was delivered from our local quarry and using a special tractor, 2 men set to work on excavating the footings, placing rocks and installing a drain system behind the wall as the built the wall up. They were very professional and expedient and I am so happy with the way the walls look. They also constructed steps in one of the walls using old quarried granite blocks that were reclaimed from an old building in Sacramento. This was less expensive than using traditional stacking, concrete blocks and looks so much better!
