Superior Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Services
Friendly over the phone, fit us in on the same day, received a call from field team when they were on their way, friendly in person and took care of the problem for a very reasonable price. They will be our go-to plumber from now on!

Very well. Matt arrived punctually and at the appointed time, performed a detailed inspection and provided an estimate we agreed to. Matt performed all the required work in less time than he estimated, and left the site clean and organized.

This was a quick and easy thing for this company.  The guy showed up right on time, was very courteous, took pride in how clean and organized he kept his truck, explained to me everything he was doing, and got the job done.
We thought there may have been something stuck in the main sewage line due to the type of plumbing backups we were seeing in the house.  To our surprise, the snake-thing didn't pull out anything, so we don't know the exact source of the backup.  However, snaking the line cleared up the problem--the guy tested it via flooding the main with water and it never overflowed, it all drained out properly.  Nearly a year later and still no problem with the plumbing.  Yeah!
The guy left me an estimate for a video inspection of the sewer line to be performed separately if I wanted to get that done should we encounter the problem again.  His estimate nearly a year ago was an additional $200, which I declined.
Also notable - I purchased a$29 Plumbing Diagnostic Call that went along with the $175 snake-the-drain work.  The two costs together is how I arrived at the cost of service being $204, a pretty good deal if you ask me.

From beginning to end, everything went well! They did everything that they promised, including taking good care of our new french drain that was located near the work site.  They arrived on time both days and cleaned up at the end of the day. They took all of my questions and concerns with a smile, and always took time to show me what was going on. I learned so much about my house and plumbing during this process!

    Advanced Plumbing & Rooter Service
I called and explained my situation and Bill said he could have a guy here within 90 minutes.  We did not discuss price, and I assumed it would be necessary to assess the situation first before giving me a price.
His tech was here within the time frame given - under 90 minutes.  The tech assessed the situation and seamlessly transitioned into performing the work.  I mentioned to him that price had not yet been discussed and he said that is usually worked out with Bill before he comes.  He just receives the work order and comes to perform the work.

I got back in touch with Bill and discussed the price.  It seems that Angie's list may be advertising specials that were not previously approved.  We agreed that I would pay the "pre-coupon" price advertised on Angie's list which is $20 less than the regular price.  So we came to a bit of a compromise.  I didn't want to haggle because I appreciated how quickly he responded and came and got the work done.  Of course I prefer to know what the price is going to be before the work gets started, but in a one toilet house when there's a clog and someone is willing to be there within 90 minutes of being called I'm not going to complain.

Both Bill and Rene were very courteous and polite to talk to.  Rene explained the situation and gave me some helpful information to hopefully avoid having this issue in the future for as long as our old plumbing system can survive.

    Preferred Plumbing & Drain

I had called them the day before, asked they specifically for an electronic leak detection.  I was told they do know how to do so and they will do a same day service for me.  I called them on October 10, 2015 at about 2pm.  I was told they will be there at 4pm or so.  4:30pm rolls by, I called and was told they should be there at 5-530pm.  By 6pm, no one was there and I decided to cancel and made an appointment for the following day at 10am.

At 9:50am the next day,  I got called and was told they will be there at 4-5 that day.  I complaint that was the reason I had an appointment at 10am as I have plans for the day, as I had set an appointment the day before. To their credit, they did manage to show by noon.

Their SENIOR TECH took two hours to find a concrete slab leak.  Cost was $385, however was not able to do the job, as they will need to take out the exterior wall or the cabinets to do so.  The invoice was super unprofessional, just wrote concrete slab leak detect, with no explanation.  I asked if they could be a little more specific, as I need this for insurance or an contractor who could do the job.  They decline to write up something with detail.

As it turned out, they were incorrect, it was a concrete slab leak, but the location of the leak was so far off that the $385 was wasted.

TIP: if you have a drain or a clogged toilet you can't handle, they will work.  I suggest not to use them for anything more.

    Roroman Plumbing
Jose charged me $476 to clear a clog in my sewer line on a Saturday. The charge was high because he attempted to unclog from so many different places, first from the front clean out, then from a toilet (which he removed and replaced) then from the kitchen, then from the roof. He told me that the problem was under my porch, and that we could reschedule for him to tear out the concrete and replace the pipe there for several thousand dollars.

    C grade because:

    1) The sewer line clogged again within a week. This time, I rented a electric snake tool from Home Depot and resolved the clog in the sewer line myself just by using the cleanout in my front yard. Took less than 30 minutes.

    2) An other plumber come out with a pipe camera. The film showed that there was no problem under the porch whatsoever or anywhere else with the pipes on my property ? the problem is that roots infiltrated the sewer line out in the street just beyond the sidewalk.

    3) The second plumber said that Roroman ripped me off by spending so much time and doing so many unnecessary procedures to clear the clog that could've been easily addressed just using the cleanout in the front yard.

    On the plus side:

I needed a duplicate copy of the receipt in order to see if I could be reimbursed by the city. I told José that I would write a review if he sent me a receipt copy, and he complied on the second request, so here I am acknowledging that.

AKK Builders Plumbing & Water Heaters
Antony was great.  He came in a timely fashion, he explained what he did and why he did it.  He is a great problem solver.  The lady of the house is very happy to have a new working toilet.  Very pleasant.  Very professional.  I have used him several times before and will always call him for the next problems if any occur.

This went fine. They didn’t find anything in the inspection and everything was fine. I liked that they followed through with the deal. The responsiveness was not so great and it took me a couple of tries to get the video from them but it all worked out and it was a really good value.

Superior Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Services
I had to book this appointment for mid-to-late afternoon due to my work schedule.  The lady on the phone did forewarn me that they prefer to do appointments early in the day, as later appointments may be affected by unforeseen delays at the earlier appointments, which totally makes sense.  Due to my inability to get the entire day off work, I had no choice but to roll the dice and stick with my late afternoon appointment and hope for the best.  Low and behold there were delays earlier that day, so much so that they called me up and told me they may have to come out the next day, which I could not do again due to my inability to miss work.  They worked with me and the inspectors arrived at nearly 6pm (I was willing to wait since I was already at the property) and performed the job flawlessly and with a great positive attitude.  Vincent Esquivel was the supervisor that arrived to do the inspection, and he was more than professional and friendly.  The service was performed as expected, and I even got a DVD copy of the video inspection.  On top of that, the service normally costs $250.00, but thanks to an Angie's List promotion, I got $100 off that price.  Even better!  Extremely happy with their services and will definitely recommend to anyone interested, and will use their services again as needed in the future. A++++!
