    Rick Gonzalez Concrete & Masonry
Rick was wonderful to work with. He explains everything that is going to take place. He answers any questions or concerns you might have. He would rather you ask lots of questions, so that everyone is on the same page and that the job is done to your satisfaction. Rick is there to work alongside with his employees. Rick did a beautiful job on our project and I would definitely hire him for future projects!

    Rick Gonzalez Concrete & Masonry
Rick was very professional. He and his crew were very easy to work with and friendly. We set up the soonest they could do the work, and then a few days later Rick called and said he could come earlier. We got the job done in 1.5 days from start to finish. Did a very good job and did everything he agreed to do. Even flexed easily when a couple of small changes/issues came up. He moved a couple of drains we were not aware of so that they would work well with the new patio. Only charged me for extra part, not extra for labor. I'd call Rick again if I need that kind of work.

    Olsen Landscape Design
She came out 2 weeks ago. Her estimate was 70 dollars per hour. When she picks plants out with me in 2 weeks. She will be 70 dollars per hour. She gave a full estimate to my husband. I don't recall what this was. It was for concrete in the back yard and taking plants out in the back yard and picking out plants and plant shopping and landscaping. My husband really liked her. She was very knowledgeable. We have a lot of shade in the backyard. She was able to tell us why our plants were not doing well in the back yard. She educated us on that. She had a bachelor's degree in plants. That was cool.

    Rick Gonzalez Concrete & Masonry
Bought brand new construction home. The following work was done:
Note: First I didn't select Rick for the job because he gave me the cheapest quote; it the mid price.
I like Rick from the get-go because he has been business for a long time and his professionalism just came across comfortably.
    Work performed:
    1. Poured cement about 4' wide sidewalks around the house, sides and backyard.
What I liked about Rick and his team during the phase:
-Offered ideas and suggestions; very professional and project went smooth. NO headaches! That's a big plus!
-Re-routed drain spout, sprinklers, and turf as necessary
-Changed out drain cap so it was flush with side walk so my kids could ride their tricycles; big plus.
    -No cement splash on walls
***Note that these were not spelled out in contract but Rick and his crew were professional enough to go the extra mile.
This is important to note b/c my neighbor went with the lowest price and how he is trying to figure out how to get the drain spout that is now buried underneath the cement...somewhere! There is certainly a huge quality in workman ship.
    2. Custom front courtyard: poured cement and stone mansonry work.
What I liked about Rick and his team during this phase:
-Professional guidance: took the time to meet my wife and I at Clovis stone to make sure the stones on the house and courtyard matched. This was important because even the builder didn't even know where to refer us to purchase the stones.
-Took time to educate us in the process
    -re-routed drain conduit
*Word of advice* - if you plan on a custom courtyard, make sure to pick out the stones and edges in advanced; takes up 2 weeks or longer to process. This was our fault because we initially wanted something pre-cast. Project delayed 2 weeks.
    - the stonework is amazing; even the builder is impressed and asked for his contact. Neighbors have stopped by to get his info.
    3. Pour 3-tier steps leading to courtyard.
    -Great idea and suggestions again.
    4. Lay pebble rocks on side of house between fence and sidewalks
    -Another great idea. looks beautiful.
-Word of advice: if you plan to do this, re-enforce your fence first; after a year, the bottom of the fence is starting to bevel.

Results are above expectations. I now have a basic need (curve access) done in a and quot;eye-pleasingand quot; way that compliment the landscape.
Process: sawcut and remove curbing andapprox. 3'x 7' section of sidewalk, including haulaway and disposal of all debris. Setup, pour and finish concrete ramp replacing sidewalk to slope down to existing gutter to 1/2and quot; elevation to insure that drainage will continue through onto gutter.
The creative design (slight wavy turn) adds a delightful charm!

    Rick Gonzalez Concrete & Masonry
Rick showed up on time to give me an estimate, and actually began the work sooner than we had planned due a postponement of one of his other jobs. When the old concrete was removed, we expected to find the damage had been caused by a tree root. Unfortunately, we found that we had had a water leak near our water meter. Rick called me at work, explained the situation, and offered to call a plumber. The plumber came out right away and fixed the problem for a reasonable price.

    Arguello Concrete Construction, Inc.
Chris responded promptly to phone calls, gave an estimate and explained the details of the work thoroughly. He called to let us know the day that he would do the work, showed up PROMPTLY on time and did a really nice job, including meticulous cleanup. We are very pleased with his professionalism, work ethic and cost.

    Santellan Concrete
I left two messages at the two different phone numbers provided.  I never received a call back.  when I called a third time, I spoke with Scott Santellan, who made an appointment to come look at the work I needed to be done.  He never showed up.  On all three of the phone calls, the phone was not answered with a company name, and I had to ask if I had reached Santellan concrete.  Very unprofessional.

    Santellan Concrete
Returned my phone call within a day or two. Was at my house right at the appointment time. Had an estimate within about ten minutes. He even called before the job because the border drain didn't match the color of the drain we had and he wanted to check with us even though the color of the new drain was close (in fact it looked the same to us). I got home around 4:15 and thought I would see them still working, as they had to dig a few inches down before being able to put the sand down. The price included carrying off the dirt they dug up. The finish matched what we had around the pool, within a few months I don't think anyone will be able to tell it was a separate job.

Everything went well. It took a little while to get done because it was such a small job, but we understood that. We would recommend W&W to do your cement work.
