Representative was professional and courteous and seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, our garage door is old and we were not ready to replace it, so service person did what he could to keep the door operating. So far, it's working fine.

    A Quality Garage Door Co
The garage door opener was from the 80's and Derek was very knowledgeable and was able to explain that my safety switch that was turned to the on position on the wall remote was possibly preventing the unit to receive the signal from the remotes. I turned off the switch and the remote opened the door. Super grateful for his help and if we decide to upgrade our opener we will definitely go with this company!

    La Verne Construction

It took a little bit of thought before I wrote this review. My experience with this General Contractor was inconsistent (in a number of areas) at best.  I was told by the GC that the job would take 3-5 weeks to complete, but it ended up taking four months. That was the first problem.  I am told however, that timeliness is a frequent issue in the construction field. However, I was unable to move into my home and had to pay to live elsewhere. Another problem I encountered with this contractor was a lack of professionalism in particular from the ?foreman? on the job. He was sarcastic and rude.  On more than one occasion, I had to ask the ?foreman? to stop yelling at me.  He excused his behavior by stating that I was asking too many questions.  The final straw was when the granite was being installed. The foreman got into an argument with the granite installers over measurements and   he left me with them to sort his error out while he went to his truck and proceeded to chew tobacco. After that incident, I contacted the owner of the company and told him I did not want the ?foreman? near my home again. The owner stated that he would take over supervision of the job.  I also felt ?price gouged? a few times as the initial price that was quoted to me became higher once the invoice was presented. For example, for two corbels that were priced at 12.00 at Home Depot, I got charged $250.00 for their installation. Additionally, I was told that I needed a water pressure regulator, which I had suspected, and I was told those regulators are around $100.00 and that I would also get charged for the labor per hour, which again I expected. Somehow, the final price on the water pressure regulator was $450.00.

To date, the GC still has not completely finished the job as there remains one door that requires painting and motion sensor lights that don't work properly. It?s been roughly two months since I submitted final payment .

In contrast, many of the men who actually did the work in the home were pleasant, kind and respectful. And, for now, the work that they did do looks okay  but I guess time will tell there.

    Sam's Garage Doors
Sam was very professional and did a great job on my garage door.  It sounds much more quiet when opening.  He checked all parts and ensured everything was in good working order.  I would highly recommend this company.

Provider was on time.  My old garage door opener stopped working last week. I had asked for a quote for a new opener plus installation. There was one extra charge beyond the initial estimate that we discussed and was clearly justified by the need to add additional bracing to the door.  We discussed some other work that might be doe\ne in he future (such as a new door), but there was no pressure for any extra purchases or services.  Teh etire job took abotu an hour and half.  My door is working now more smoothly and quieter than ever.

    Pioneer Door Inc
I made the mistake of closing the garage door without making sure that the path was clear. After searching for about an hour I found Pioneer Door Inc. They came out as expected ontime and fixed the door in about 10 minutes. The tech even did a quick tune up of the door and was done very quickly. He knew exactly how to fix the issue right away just by looking at it and I'm not certain that others would have done the same without trying to sell me more stuff. I will definitely keep this number in the phonebook.

    Preferred Garage Door
The person from Preferred Garage door was great. He identified a problem with a spring installed by another company and encouraged me to call them to correct the work. Preferred Garage didn't feel the door needed the service provided on the deal. All looked good so he felt a refund was warranted.

He did not find anything wrong, he did advise me that I am going to have problems later with the hinges and springs. He did not push me to do anything. He was a very good guy and very honest. He advised me on everything that could happen later. I asked him for prices because I did not have the money. He was very open. He did a very thorough job. He greased everything and for the deal, I could have an opener installed on the outside. He installed it and set it up. I have already recommended him to my neighbor. He went to her immediately. I think the price was a good deal. He was a real quality guy. He was on time. He was the best.

    Pioneer Door Inc
Our old garage door opener quit working, and after receiving unsatisfactory service from a couple of nearby companies, we contacted Pioneer Door because they were highly rated on Angie's list.  They were able to tell us on the phone that the manufacturer of the old opener (Stanley) was no longer in business, and that while the technician would see if our opener was repairable, it was likely we would have to replace it.  They gave us a quote for a new Marantec opener, which was much lower than the quotes from the other companies.  The phone service was very friendly and professional, and they set up an appointment within a couple of days. The technician arrived right on time, and when he looked at the old opener, he said, "Oh, I know that model.  It has plastic gears inside, and I bet they've broken".  I watched him open it up, and sure enough, the gears had broken and there were little plastic bits all over.  There was no way to replace the gears, so they installed the new opener, including the laser safety sensors (which we hadn't had before), made sure everything was properly aligned and worked smoothly, and went over the operation with me. I was very impressed with the professionalism and competence of everyone I dealt with.

    Pioneer Door Inc
A car was accidentally backed into the garage door, bending the door and breaking a hinge. Pioneer Door had installed our garage door opener in July 2011, and we were very happy with them, so I called them to repair the door.  The person who answered the phone looked us up almost instantaneously and knew exactly what type of door we had.  She explained that since our door (a Stanley) was no longer manufactured, they would not be able to buy replacement panels if they were needed, so we might be looking at a new garage door, but the technician would see if it was repairable. They offered to schedule us the next day, but I couldn't be home at the time they could come, so we scheduled for first thing the morning the following business day. The technician arrived early -- he called from about 10 minutes away to let me know when he would be there.  He took a look at the door, and said, "Oh, that's not so bad."  He explained that he would just need to replace the hinge and make some adjustments.  He asked if I had received a quote, and I said I hadn't because we weren't sure what would be involved.  He then explained that it would $5 for one new hinge + $95 for the service call and labor.  I told him to go ahead, and he was done in almost no time.  When I commented on how quick he was, he explained that he had 15 years of experience.  When he was done, the garage door operated very smoothly, and I was very pleased that he was able to fix it so we didn't have to replace the door. As with my first experience, I was very impressed with the competence and professionalism with everyone I dealt with at Pioneer Door.
