    Patrick Hennessey Masonry
Very well. Mr. Hennessy arrived early, began work immediately and finished ahead of schedule. His work was professional and he cleaned up before leaving. The replaced damaged blocks matched the old wall.

    In-Line General Construction
We are very happy with the outcome of our project and would highly recommend Steve and his team to others. Steve and his team were great to work with because: 1) he did not nickel and dime me or present endless change orders as some contractors do - despite the fact that we made multiple changes and adjustments to job; 2) whenever there was an issue or unexpected problem he took care of it; 3) Steve is good on his word - if he says it or promises it he does it; 4) our happiness and satisfaction were extremely important to him and during every visit he would always ask how we felt things were going. Remodels are never easy and things do go wrong, but throughout the job I always felt comforted in knowing that Steve had our back and made sure things got done. He was always available by phone and text even on off hours and weekends. Without hesitation, I would encourage anyone considering a general contractor to give Steve a call. If we ever need to remodel again, he will be the only person I call.

    Active Sandblasting
The sandblasting took two days. The work was done by only three men, who did an outstanding job. My property has two sump pumps and a pipe drain. They were careful to close those off and use their own pumps for moving the water. All the debris was shoveled up and moved by wheelbarrow to their truck and hauled away. Clean up was excellent. Sandblasting is a very messy project. They did a good job of getting up the greatest amount of sand paint chips and muck. I was pleased with the outcome. I still continue to sweep and shop vac sand, but it is all minor compared to the massive amount of work the crew did to clean my property. Active Sandblasting did a superior job of meeting my needs. I would highly recommend their services.

    LHS Landscape Services Inc
My first call for an estimate on the landscape plan was answered promptly and I was supplied with a written estimate that included options I asked for to control the price via email the next day.  The call to accept bid was again answered promptly, contracts were signed and I was given a date to start the project with a two week to completion date.  The work was started on time and finished on time.  The worker or workers, depending on the schedule, arrived around 7 and worked as late as 5:30.  One gentleman, in particular,  was very creative and quite the perfectionist.  All were pleasant to have around and were careful to clean up.   am very happy with the results and would not hesitate to recommend them and will be rehiring them to do my driveway.  A great experience.
    UPDATE...BEWARE
A great experience until I realized the sprinkler system had not been adjusted to fit the new landscape.  I have a walkway from curb to front door that gets well watered, a parkway installation that waters the front sidewalk, and lawn areas that don't get water.  Part of the landscaping has died and I'm subject to fines for disregarding the water regulations.  The contract does stipulate that the sprinklers will be adjusted.  I called and explained my predicament and Chon made one visit (when I wasn't home) and left a note saying he'd return in fall with replacements for dead plants (haven't seen him and it's November) and couldn't improve the sprinkler situation.  I've since called a sprinkler professional who explained part of the new installation was done incorrectly......and gave me an estimate of $1000 to correct each issue.  So, before the work started I had an adequate sprinkler system and now I"m hand watering.

Also, when I called the company to find out how to set up my timer I learned that I should have been given a remote with my system.  I called Chon and mentioned it and he brought it by.  Had I not called the company with questions I wouldn't have it now.

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
My husband and I had quotes from a few contractors for new pavers.  We went with Val because he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need or want like other contractors.  Val's quote was within our estimate.  The price we received from Val was the price we paid.  There were no surprise at the end of the project regarding added cost to the pavers.  From beginning to the end, Val (the owner) was very responsive and very professional.  Our back yard had hodge podge areas of cement labs that was poured at different times and there were unsightly cracks in different areas.  The demo contractor came in and demolished and removed the concrete very quickly.  Then Charlie and his crew came in to prep the grounds to lay the pavers.  Charlie is very good at his trade and a perfectionist.  There were a few minor glitches, as with any construction projects, but Val and Charlie always made sure the situations were corrected very quickly.  Charlie and his crew installed about 1800 square feet of pavers in our yard and it is beautiful!!!  We would definitely use Falkon Construction again.

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
Val, with Falkon Construction, responded promptly to my emails and phone calls, and upon my request, worked directly with a residential neighbor of the shopping center to repair her wall damaged by the Center's tree roots.  He also repaired columns at the Center with a rock fascia.  Not only did we feel the cost was fair, he did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work.  We would certainly recommend and use Falkon Construction in the future.

    GoodFellas Construction
We finally decided to have it repaired and quit worrying about the possible mess to the carpeting and walls of our home. To our surprise everything was taken care of in a very clean manner. The construction was done with a minimal amount of "mess" and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Workmanship and attitude was super! The chimney looks great.

Val worked with us from start to finish. Very professional detailed itemized bid We changed our minds 3 times And Val was happy to write up a revised bid and sent it to us by email.I am very happy with way it all turned out. I was surprised that rebar was used in the driveway surprised but happy. The brickwork ribbons in the driveway Really ads to the appearance. Also all the brickwork planters look great.Only problem I have now is I have to Put out more money to bring the rest of the front yard to match the beautiful driveway and planters. Anyone needs quality work such as described Falkon is the place to go and Val and his talented professional Personal nice crew are a pleasure to wok with.

    Morillon Construction Of Landscape
The house is a french style house with landscape designed by Jeremy Taylor Landscapes.   The main driveway is paved with antique granite cobble stone from Boston.  I got quotes from 4 construction companies and MCL came in the second lowest bid.  I chose MCL due to the reference that they provided.  I actually called and visited their past work which is very nice.  The construction foremen is very nice to deal with.  For example, changes made by the designer were very reasonable charged (labor only).  The construction took about 6 weeks due to the delay of cobblestone shipment. The layout of the cobblestone looks like the recreation of a French cobblestone street.  We love the driveway and makes the house look more European / French.

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
On the morning of Sep 22, 2011, I telephoned Val & he came out to the house the same afternoon to meet with us & give us an estimate to replace our driveway and walkway.   On Oct 8, I notified Val that we would like Falkon to replace our driveway & walkway.  When I reminded Val that we wanted the driveway apron replaced and that a permit would need to be taken out for that portion of the driveway, his demeanor changed from one of eagerness to one of being imposed upon.  I became aware that Falkon's contract states that: "All required permits, architectural, structural and planning documents will be at the expense and responsibility of owner, unless otherwise pre-negotiated terms are set by owner and performing contractor on written contract".  As a result, we ended up driving to the County Public Works office to pick up the permit.  In my other dealings with contractors, it was the contractor that picked up the permit as a part of the permit process.

Demolition of the driveway and walkway was scheduled for Sat., Oct 22nd at 8:00 am.  At 7:30 am Val arrived and we discussed what was to be done that day.  Val's demolition person was running late and didn't arrive until 9:00 am and when he did arrive he did not have a sledge hammer to demolish the walkway steps.  As a result, three steps of the walkway were not demolished.  I later found out that Val unilaterally decided not demolish them since they were going to be tiled over.

On Mon., Oct 24, Val's team arrived at 7:30 am and work began at 8:00 am.  We talked about the walkway and making the new steps 4 to 5" high instead of making them the same height as the original steps.  On Mon. and Tues., the rebar was installed, Val picked up the tile that we had ordered, and the tile was laid down over that portion of the walkway that hadn't been demolished.  On Wed., the driveway was poured.  During the pouring of the driveway our backyard hose was used and the connecting PVC pipe pulled out from its connection causing water to bubble out all over the place creating a muddy mess.  I would not be writing about this except that there was no reason to stretch our garden hose to the point that the PVC pipe was pulled out of its socket because Falkon had brought a hose to the worksite and could have connected it to the end of our hose.  Val's brother did glue back the PVC pipe, but we were left cleaning up the muddy mess.

One other thing that we found irksome was that Val had us calling the County to inform the inspector that the driveway was ready for inspection.  When we called the County, the person at the County wondered why we were calling.  He said that we shouldn't be calling that it is the responsibility of the contractor to call.

Despite the ups and downs of this project, we are very pleased with the work.  The driveway looks great and is a big improvement over the old one.  The water no longer stands and builds up in the driveway.  We are also very pleased with the way the walkway turned out and the tile work; in fact, we had Falkon come back in December to tile the new steps that were not tiled over in Oct.  During this second job, we were short a few tiles, but Val picked up the tiles that we needed and didn't charge us.  Thanks Val.
