Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Citrus Heights

    (1) Scheduling was difficult. I was told materials would be ordered within 3 days (it was 1-1/2 weeks), I was told work could begin with 2 weeks (it was 3 weeks) and I was told work would take 3 days (it was 5 days). This made it difficult to schedule other renovation contractors. (2) [Person in office] did not want me to call her on the phone and told me to communicate via email only, which slowed communication. (3) There are 2 areas with minor rippling in the laminate. It's not too noticeable, but prevents me from recommending them to a friend because it is sub-par work. (4) Worker left paint splatters all over my refrigerator, sliding glass doors, bathroom sink, and bathroom floor. Other that all of the above, my experience was good/average. Kind of a high price for the quality of work. Not good enough to recommend to a friend, but acceptable.

We were truly blessed to have found Paul Kearney. We had a complete kitchen and half bathroom remodel. I had a vision and he never once made me feel like it was unattainable. His workers were professional and performed above our expectations. I went from a 1975 run down kitchen to a beautiful southern contemporary one. I truly have a kitchen right out of a magazine. I am in complete awe of his work and professionalism. One thing we appreciated and valued the most is when we were given a hard time from a third party vendor he made sure he was available and we would not be taken advantage of. If your are looking for a general contractor he is the one. You will not regret it. We will never use another contractor and are very grateful and pleased that the entire process was smooth, fast, professional and just amazing!! Everything was going great until the estimate was submitted. The salesperson was punctual and knowledgeable. The cost of the estimate was in line with others submitted but the amount due before the job started was 75% of the total. The CSLB states that you should only pay 10% of the total cost or $1,000 whichever is less. This amounted to $3,000. Obviously this company lost my trust, as they had to be aware, having been in business as long as they have been, to know this was illegal.

The staff did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied with our finished bathrooms. The installer, Joe, was always on time and kept everything clean as he went. He allowed time for us to paint before installation so we did not have to tape off and even finished the project a day early!

Roger Pavorini was prompt and courteous. We discussed what I hoped to accomplish and he explained what was involved. We discussed choices of materials and my preferences. I also asked him to look at my kitchen cabinets because I am interested in refinishing them. He emailed me separate quotes for both items within 24 hours.

They used the part I had at the house to fix it. I bought it about a year ago, and had never put it in. I called them, and they came out to put the part in. It is working ok now. I have been using this company for 15 years now.

Ben did a fantastic job!! The walls of my bathroom are not square - they challenged the plumber who installed the tile/tub inserts, and the drywall replacement contractor who replaced the water damaged drywall. Ben was the most challenged however, he had to make lines look parallel & congruent on those walls and along the floor. He not only accomplished this, but added in decorative tiles in an eye catching pattern - it's gorgeous! He then came back and installed 2 new toilets in both of our bathrooms (more challenges - the new toilets didn't want to fit in my old home!) I only hope that when I call him to do some more work for me, he doesn't run the other way from my quirky home!

Robert did a great job. He was professional, reliable, punctual, and his prices are fair and reasonable. We had a drip from the faucet and Robert came out on a Sunday to fix it. We are going to have Robert re-model our other bathroom in a couple months. I highly recommend Robert.

Nick and his crew did an excellent job. They were very professional and finished my new fence in about 1 1/2 days. They were very careful to make sure that everything was straight and that the wood was perfect - I even saw them take down a couple of slats that did look quite right - they used a totally new and different piece of wood. They did an impeccable cleanup and even built me a new gate gratis (new customer!). I would recommend them - and will actually recommend them to my mother who will need a new fence soon.

When I started this project I was excited to hire a professional because this is not my strong point and I wanted them to turn out beautiful even though it was going to be more expensive. Unfortunately that's not the experience I had. All the guys that worked on the project were pleasant and professional but didn't seem to have the skill. The things that came out nice were the refacing of the cabinets, the frameless shower glass and the countertops. The cabinets and glass were subbed out to other companies and the countertops were prefabs so most of that was finished already. The paint and tile work was a disaster! The tile and grout lines are uneven throughout the bathrooms. I had a slider window put in and the tile framing was stacked ontop of each other rather than cut at an angle to provide an even grout line. I questioned this and was told that is standard. I have friends in the tile industry and showed them. They couldn't believe it! I had a bench installed in the shower and noticed they didn't grout under it until I requested it. The paint is one color for the walls and another for the ceiling. Where the two meet are all over the place and sloppy. They didn't even remove the light fixtures to paint the wall correctly and got paint on my fixtures as well as on the tile they just installed. I had them install a new medicine cabinet and they cut the drywall to big. So rather than repairing the drywall and trying the cutout again they covered the gap with tape and painted over it as if I wouldn't notice. They fixed it at my request but then did a sloppy job on the retexturing. This also happened with the drywall screws they used around the bath/shower combo in the hall bathroom. Just painted right over them. Some may ask why didn't I have them go back and fix all these issues. To that I say that I did and some of it ended up fine but not all. It became apparent that they just weren't capable. It seemed as if they were trying to do as little as possible to do the job rather than trying to do a professional job. After 2 and a half months I was just done!
