The company never responded to any of my contacts. Either they don't use Angie's list or they don't care for new customers. Either way it was an extremely unpleasant experience and I hope other pros don't handle it the same way.

    Paul Kearney Inc
We were truly blessed to have found Paul Kearney. We had a complete kitchen and half bathroom remodel. I had a vision and he never once made me feel like it was unattainable. His workers were professional and performed above our expectations. I went from a 1975 run down kitchen to a beautiful southern contemporary one. I truly have a kitchen right out of a magazine. I am in complete awe of his work and professionalism. One thing we appreciated and valued the most is when we were given a hard time from a third party vendor he made sure he was available and we would not be taken advantage of. If your are looking for a general contractor he is the one. You will not regret it. We will never use another contractor and are very grateful and pleased that the entire process was smooth, fast, professional and just amazing!! Everything went right on schedule. Wonderful people to work with. Always responsive and helpful, were even able to finish quicker then expected! Ran into a couple of problems that were resolved quickly and expertly. I can't say enough good things about everyone I dealt with and Steve, was absolutely outstanding in every way.

    USA Bath California Remodeling
The staff did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied with our finished bathrooms. The installer, Joe, was always on time and kept everything clean as he went. He allowed time for us to paint before installation so we did not have to tape off and even finished the project a day early!

    Bello Hardwood Flooring
Someone once said: He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist. We recently purchased and remodeled our first home and when it came to flooring, Dorel at Bello Hardwood Flooring came highly recommended by friends and family. We were blown away by how extremely helpful Dorel and his staff were from start to finish. Dorel helped us find the highest quality materials for our budget and went above and beyond installing the floors and baseboards in our entire house. His organizational skills are so spot-on that our project was completed a day earlier than he initially estimated. Like an artist he became creative and found solutions for strange angles, seams, and overlays. He ensured our slab/sub-floor was in perfect shape before beginning the job. He also suggested and executed improvements such as grinding down the brick on our fireplace so the flooring could fit seamlessly. The result was of such great quality that our parents from 500 miles away would consider no one else for their own remodel. Dorel truly is an artisan in his trade - demonstrating unparalleled skill, passion, and ingenuity in his installation.

    TOMMY LANE PAINTING & Construction
We hired Tommy to be the general contractor for a job updating some things with our new house. Tommy and his crew were very professional and made sure we were 100% satisfied with every aspect of the job. Tommy did an amazing job managing his crew and the other contractors and made sure things moved quickly and were done well. He was very fair with prices and we would recommend tommy and his crew for any job big or small.

    Robert A. Calvo, General Contractor
Robert did a great job. He was professional, reliable, punctual, and his prices are fair and reasonable. We had a drip from the faucet and Robert came out on a Sunday to fix it. We are going to have Robert re-model our other bathroom in a couple months. I highly recommend Robert.

    Bello Hardwood Flooring
All things considered, you may be able to do as well as Bellow Hardwood Flooring, but probably not better! Dorel, and his nephew, Josh, are "old school" workmen. Part of what that means is the same guy who shows up to give the job estimate (bid) is the guy who does the work. My wife and I found Dorel and Josh to be extremely personable. They did the job quickly and professionally and throughout the installation kept us informed on what they were going to do, including possible options of how it could be done. Dorel returned my initial phone call within a day, and sent the bid by e-mail two days later. We accepted the bid and agreed on an installation date about three weeks away. This seemed very reasonable for us considering his great reputation and the large number of requests he receives. In the interim, I phone him several times, and he returned those phone calls all within an hour. The first day he and Josh showed up right on time (even a few minutes early). The second day they were going to show up again at 7:30 A.M., but graciously agreed to 8:00 so our overnight guests had a little more time to get downstairs before Dorel and Josh continued their work on the stairs. Another part of "old school" is to do a excellent job of cleaning up when the job is complete. They did that. The stairwell looks absolutely beautiful.

Hired Peverini Tile & Marble off Angie?s List no previous complaints on his CSLB license within the last 5 years. Roger Peverini, Owner, came to give us a bid. We inquired about a full (complete) bathroom remodel and tile floors in entry and family room. We signed contract on 11/20/2015 and paid $1000 down payment. Work commenced on 11/23/2015 with us supplying plumbing shutoff valves. Then he requested the 1stprogress payment of $5400 (refer to email of break down). We requested a written breakdown of work completed, so that we could get an approval to get him paid and to prevent front loading. He insisted that we pay for tile in advance because it was special order. I asked him to provide us this before any progress payment is due and I asked for a schedule to ensure how work was to be completed and when. I emailed on several occasions requesting progress payment details and text and he was unwilling to provide details of the 2nd progress payment phase (12/1/2015 to 12/04/2015). He initially asked for $7,350 for the 2nd progress payment. Although emailed and requested info wasn?t received, in good faith, we provided a check in the amount of $4000 on 12/4/2015. Acknowledging that some work was done during this phase. In fact, we paid more than half of what was requested. Later Roger adjusted the amount to $6,580 leaving with a balance due of $2580, yet without justification of what was completed. When we (Roger and I) spoke on 12/4/15 he said that he would send the details late that night and he will be removing the vanity and installing one of my choice. Roger still has not followed through. We have since received a preliminary notice on 12/8/15 because we didn?t receive the details of the phase and yet he is still requesting $2,580 and merely telling us to look around the house to see what was done. Final payment details he had been given to us, but still nothing about the work that was completed. Our concern is that final phase details had been provided, but still no details on the phase that just passed 12/4/15. He has also indicated that he is not willing to finish the job and that he is unwilling to provide us with remaining material until he gets a payment.

Gold River Carpet One Floor & Home

A very thorough job of estimating the amount of carpet and pad needed for the house.  Installers did an excellent job of removing the old carpet and installing the new carpet.  To ensure an accurate fit, the installers also removed and reset closet doors when carpeting the closets.  That may be standard procedure ... not sure.  They also created a border (i.e. along the open hallway at the top of the staircase) that did not exist before.  Very pleased with the outcome.  The three installers showed up on time and completed the installation in one day.  Initially, Gold River Carpet estimated that it might take two days to complete.  Price of carpet and pad were a little more than originally planned.  However, after considering all of the options, I decided to go with an upgrade.  Both carpet and pad came with a 25-year guarantee.
