    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
We recently had our 2500 square foot home remodeled by Horizon Construction & Remodel, which included the kitchen, master bath, flooring, lighting, paint, fireplaces, millwork, plumbing and tile. We contacted a total of four general contractors, all of whom were within the same approximate price range, however, after meeting with Mike Roppo, we decided to sign a contract with Horizon and were glad we did! Mike was our Project Manager and he did an excellent job overseeing and managing the entire project from start to finish. He is professional, knowledgeable, personable and made sure that everything was done right! He was quick to respond to phone calls, texts, and emails and came by to check the work often. We are retired so we were able monitor the work as it was being completed. At times issues would arise, but whenever we expressed a concern, Mike was prompt to resolve it, making sure that all work was done to our complete satisfaction and that no corners were cut. All of the contractors that worked in our home were very experienced and good at what they did! We were especially impressed with Hector who painted the entire inside of the house, and Victor who did all of the tile and marble work in the master bath, kitchen, and fireplaces. Also Ulyses (plumbing), Hugo (flooring), Caesar (countertops), and Tomar (electrician), were all excellent at their crafts. The process of remodeling our entire home took five months and everything turned our beautiful! Horizon Construction & Remodel is an excellent company that stands behind their work and prides themselves in customer satisfaction!

First visit, really didnt identify problem. Had to use my vacuum to suck up water. Problem resurfaced immediately, called them back. Came out, again could not diagnose root cause. Didnt charge me, but problem still exists

    AARS Appliance Repair
Paid $100 for diagnosis, took him 10 minutes. Received $385 estimate to change out drain hose, less the $100 already paid. Seemed excessive, so asked how many hours labor was required. Their fees are all based upon flat rates, not actual time spent. While this is apparently not unusual, be very aware of companies labor policies before having them come out. Needless to say, did not want to put almost $400 into repairing a 13 year old dishwasher.

I thought that it was an internal problem. Turned out to be the simple replacement of the selector dial. They told me the part number on AMAZON. I ordered the part, had it in two days, easily replaced it myself. The charge was simply for the service call.

    JEA'S Appliances Repair
So I'll start by saying if you can avoid this company do so at ALL cost. I have dealt with many contractors and repair stores and have yet to experience the incompetence and unprofessionalism that Jeas Appliance has demonstrated. 31 days ago I has a dishwasher that was leaking as soon as it was turned on. After notifying American Home Shield, the scheduled an appointment with Jeas Appliance, and so Steve came out. Once Steve arrived and staring at the dishwasher in its current position with a flashlight. He determined in 5 min that a hose was compromised due to rodent damage ( he never even moved the dishwasher an inch in doing this). We of course knew that wasn't covered, however he said he could fix it for $150. And he said the mounting brackets should be replaced. I agreed to the fix. My wife was 8 month pregnant at this point so I just wanted this fixed ASAP. 2 weeks later I call back to see if the parts have arrived. Pretty crazy no one called me in that time in my opinion. I was told the parts were a couple days out and we could schedule the fix for early in the third week. Well on that day (after taking off work) Steve calls me 1 hour after the start time frame to tell me the office messed up and never ordered the part he needed. So I call the office who tells me they did and Steve just can't find it, so they will go in the office the next day, and Steve will come out in 24 hours to fix it. 24 hours later, the Office confirms it can't find the part any more and will order it again and have Steve come out in about 4 days. 4 days later (30 days now from original inspection, wife due in 5 days now) Steve shows up. Spent 5 min in my house, pulls out the dishwasher and says the intake line that runs under my house in my set up is also compromised. And that he can't do anything right now. One would assume he should have caught this 5 min problem upon the $75 initial inspection since it only required moving the dishwasher to see. So again no work can be done, Steve says he will call in in 24hours with a new quote. The next day I am told it will be $100-$150 more, but he's waiting on the info from the manufacturer LG, to make sure the parts will work. I'm told they will contact me the next day with info regarding the new schedule time and part delivery. The next day comes (today actually), after I called multiple other companies and received price quotes on the problem I receive a call from Steve. He tells me the part have been ordered and they will be in 5 days from now and he can probably do the repair in 6-7 days (38 days from the initial 5 min visit) and he can do it for $400. I informed him that his companies services were no longer welcomed in my house. American Home Shield are aware of complaints on this company, and I'm told they are looking into their choice of referring and partnering with this company. I will have professionals fix my dishwasher now, but I can not stress enough how Jeas conducts business. IF for any reason you are referred to them via AHS or looking through the yellow pages online, please save yourself the horrific experience I have and ask for someone else.

    AARS Appliance Repair
Craig was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. When I initially contacted him, he first checked his stock to make sure he had the replacement icemaker so that he could install it in one trip, if necessary.  He showed up during the time frame that he specified, and was very courteous. I would definitely refer my friends/family to AARS.

    APCO Appliance & Air
I called APCO and talked to Connie about the problem I was having with our 12-year old dryer.  We made an appointment for David to come out the following week to check it.  She gave me a 4-hour window and David called when he was on his way.  He performed a quick check and deterlmined that the part that rotates the drum had worn down and needed replacing.  He sent the parts information to Connie at the shop and she called me within the hour to tell me exactly how much the part and installation will cost.  After I agreed on the cost, she ordered the replacement part and David installed it about a week later.  She gave me a discount for being a repeat customer!  I had used APCO several times in the last year or two, once to repair a leaking refrigerator and another time to replace an electronic control box in our wall double oven.  Connie and Dave are wonderful - friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  For us, APCO is the go-to company for appliance repairs!

The part was a bit pricey.  They were really helpful and they gave me pointers to see if we could resolve the problem without the pricey part repair.  They were very responsive.  I will definitely use them again and I have already recommended them to other people.
