Roofing reviews in Chino Hills

    Guardian Roofs Inc
What can I say...this company is knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced. One of my whirlybird vents froze and the other was starting to show similar signs of wear. I was told by my handyman , whom I trusted, that the units would have to be replaced. He quoted $500 each because he was going to have to take up the shingle and tar paper and install completely new units. One of the owners Dan said that probably wouldn't be necessary and had his partner Gregg come out and look at it. They both agreed that the spinner and rod were the only things that needed to be replaced and did both for $250.Both Dan and Gregg were pleasant abd very easy to deal with. I Highly recommend them to anyone with roof problems.

    AID Home Remodeling Inc
my husband and i looked at 4 different companies before we chose aid. we mainly needed a roof and new windows because the home had original for both. after going through 3 separate presentations (each one was almost 3 hours minimum) we felt completely burnt out.

we feel lucky to have come across aid. one of our neighbors was actually doing work with them on their roof and we came across one of their yard signs and decided to give them a call. after reading their reviews on yelp and on here we felt comfortable enough to let them come over.

the roof and windows was something we needed to do for sure, however the solar was something we decided to do when our rep, Eric (one of the owners of the company), said he can cut us a good deal if we do it all together. His original price was for $62,000 and was able to lower it to $59,125 because of the job they were doing for our neighbor.

we didnt make a decision the first time meeting Eric but even though we didnt he still sent someone out to inspect our roof to make sure we didnt have any termite or water damage (he did not charge us for this, even though we did not give him the job yet)

the job took a total of 12 days. our 12 windows were installed in exactly one day, our roof was finished in 4 days, and the solar took the longest because of the city inspectors.

i would like to thank Aid, and especially Eric for taking such good care of us. I am not sure if we got better treatment because he was the owner, but im sure, based on other reviews, that they treat every homeowner with the same respect, no matter who the project manager is.

four thumbs up from Jose and Norma Jimenez

    T & G Roofing and Solar Company
What I liked about this company was that it was one company that did both roofing and solar. I did not want to manage 2 different projects that needed to be done at the same time. Of course there were some issues that arose due to wrong color tile being delivered and weather conditions but what impressed me the most was that they resolved the issue promptly. Great quality work, I would use them again. I was most impressed with Lynnae and her organizational, followup and customer service skills!

Solar Assist - Discount Solar Power
My friend referred me to Solar Assist who came out and explained the benefits of going solar to me. It was an easy decision to make as my monthly payment for solar was to be lower than my electric bill... since having the system installed, we no longer have an electric bill and like the fact we are even paid for the excess power produced in the summer.

    Tim Herman Roofing
Called Tim and left message on President's Day to see if he could go check out a property we are buying, because the home inspection reported some broken tiles and what nots. Tim called me back the same day and set an appt to check out the property that Saturday. He said his day was packed so only early morning was available. He did a free inspection at the time promised, faxed me an estimate the very same day. Just some broken tiles and some tiles slipping. Unfortunately, we couldn't give him the business because the seller of property decided to use his own guys to fix the roof. But if we ever have a roof problem, we would definitely contact Tim. Great response time and easy to communicate with!

    Federal Building & Roofing
Dilemma; paint the exterior of my two story house or repair
the roof first?  This was an issue I had
to face not too long ago.  If having the
house painted first, the new coat of paint will most likely be scratched or
made all dusty and dirty by the roofers climbing up and down the house and by the
flying debris from working on the roof afterwards.  If having the roof repaired first, the
painters (of the house) will have to step on some areas of the roof and
possibly cracked or broke some tiles that were worked on.  It was not an easy choice.
I had several painters and roofers came out for estimates
and each had offered different reasons why they should do the job first.  However, I was not convinced and not put at
ease by most.  At the end, Richard with
Federal Roofing offered the best solution for me.  He will work on my roof first.  Then if the painters happened to break some
tiles afterwards, he will repair up to 10 broken ones for me without extra
charge.  This put Federal Roofing ahead
of the other roofers as far as I am concerned.
The other reasons why I chose Federal was because Richard
gave me the most detailed (but not the least expensive) estimate.  He took the time to give me three options; to
repair the leaking areas only.   Re-roof
the entire roof by using the good tiles of the existing roof and replace the
broken ones with new tiles.  The third
option was to re-roof the whole roof with new tiles.  There was no pressure to go with the third
and most expensive option.  In addition,
Richard was the only person who bothered to take pictures of the roof and showed
me where the problems area were, unlike representatives from other companies
who went up to the roof then came down and gave me an estimate, without letting
me where the problems are or how bad they were.
Based on my recent experience, I would highly recommend
Federal Roofing to any persons who are thinking of having their roof worked
on.  Richard was a true professional,
easy to talk to and work with.  He took
care of minor problems or issues that I had while the job was in progress.  In the end, I was very satisfied with the
work he and his crew did.

    Berry Roofing
Their responsiveness was excellent and quite professional and friendly as well as being extremely timely.  Proposal provided was extremely professional and detailed in easy to understand format (A whole booklet with info about them and products came with Proposal).  Some have said they charge way more than others, but we actually obtained 4 bids and theirs was pretty much in line being only a few dollars more perhaps.    Field and Office staff fantastic.  Even the City Inspector intimated they did a great job on the roof and our City is pretty tough as code  enforcement goes (at least from what I've heard from others).  Great Job Berry Roofing and Thank you to all the staff inside and out.  We will definitely recommend you to others.

    JTI Construction & Consulting
This Company specializes in Roof Resetting for Tile Roofs
exclusively. The owner is the estimator and has 30+ years of experience in Roof
Repair. He is very personable and knowledgeable. He will provide you with a
thorough and clear explanation of your choices for repairs and roof resetting.  Normally, they will not undertake a job where
Solar Panels have been installed owing to issues with the panels and changes to
the roof made by the solar installation.
The company works in a limited area around Norco, California.
They employ skilled craftsmen who show up when expected, work efficiently and
diligently and clean-up daily. The owner checks their work daily and is readily
    available through-out the process.
Their service includes, removal and stacking of tiles,
replacement of necessary wood, inspection and replacement of facing boards and
trim, installation of metal flash on horizontal edges to seal against water
damage, adding a new layer of felt tar paper, the installation of ?Wedge-It
Foam insulation? between tiles and roof surface, replacement of metal flashings
and fittings and reset of tiles. They also replace damaged or broken tiles and
pull permits and call for inspection.
The important feature of JTI Construction?s work is the
installation of ?Wedge-It Foam? insulation. This will reduce the heat transfer
between the roof tiles and roof radiating into the house by a significant
amount and can result in noticeable utility cost savings and enhanced comfort
    in the home.
Pricing is reasonable, but may be more than other bids owing
to the insulation. They offer a ten (10) year warranty and you can expect 30
years of roof integrity under normal circumstances.
Our experience with this company was entirely positive and
we are very pleased with the results.

    Rancho Mirage Roofing
The guys were very responsive from day one. He assessed, gave advice, and we came to terms a week or so after receiving the bid. There was no bias over one roofing system to another. Many roofers I met pushed a particular roof. Manuel heard my suggestions and went with it adding additional thought and expertise. What impressed me the most was the speed in which he got started. We met on a Friday, executed the contract, wrote out a couple of checks, and they were hard at work 24 hours later. He pulled permits the same day. I highly recommend the guy.

    T & G Roofing and Solar Company
Mike was very thorough with his estimate & very informative as well.  His roofing business is one of a few that will do gutters as well.  We ended up not pursuing his proposal because we weren't ready for the amount of work on our roof that he suggested.  But I would highly recommend his company.
