    Five Star Painting of Corona
The job was supposed to take a few weeks, but wasn't finished until almost a year later. The father (Willie) is trying transition the business to his son (Andrew), who is nowhere near half as knowledgeable about this business. They practically had to rebuild the patio because the guy didn't shore up the patio when he started the wood work so the entire structure shifted when he started removing planks. Replacement wood was not cut even, so they tried to hide the huge spaces with filler. Didn't work, so they had to replace the wood that they had already replaced, then tried to hide what needed to be done by putting on primer to cover the entire structure, despite my repeated requests that they not, so we couldn't see what still needed to be repaired. Fortunately, we took pictures off all the issues and knew what areas needed correction. They used the wrong type of paint on the siding, so it all began to peel off after a couple of days. They had the paint tested and found that the son used paint that was too strong for the structure so it just pulled all the prior layers of paint off, rather than sealing to it. Because of this, they had to sand and repaint all the siding. Numerous areas were not painted, and they kept saying this would be taken care of during the final walk through. Workers broke tiles on the roof. All of the damage, unpainted areas, issues with the uneven wood slats, everything that went wrong, if we didn't tell the owner, their workers did not report, so we had to keep a close eye on everything to point out incomplete work, issues, incorrect work. They painted the front door on the fourth or fifth day of painting, didn't bother to wipe it down, sand it, nothing. The paint, of course, peeled off. They came back to sand and redo it, but didn't put up plastic sheeting, so the paint dust went all into the house. They had to pay for furniture, floor, and stair cleaning to get up all the paint dust that was literally everywhere. Some of the delays were due to weather, since the job ended taking so long for them to finish and the rainy season came. Other delays were due to them just not calling or coming back. We were in the process of hiring another painter to finish the job and correct all of the problems when they finally called again. The owner made lots of excuses, the son checked out of the process all together once the problems and defects started to mount, the workers didn't have oversight, as we were told in the beginning that they would, so there were lots and lots of errors, issues, and problems. The son could not professionally navigate all of the issues caused by him and his workers. Did not expect to have to literally micro manage and watch so closely to all the detail due to the lack of integrity in the work being performed. We literally had to closely inspect all the work at each step, otherwise there would have been many defects left, including all the siding paint that just pealed right off. Refused to pay them until the job was sufficiently and completely finished to the professional standard they promised in the original contract. They also promised to leave touch up paint as part of the job, but I knew once they were paid in full that we would never see or hear from them again, and we haven't. Would not recommend this company. All of the attached pictures were taken after they said the work was "done" (except for the ones with primer where they were trying to hide the deficiencies after I specifically asked for no primer or paint on the wood patio until I could see that all of the repairs and re-repairs were completed correctly). They were only supposed to repair about 6 slats on the patio, but because of the errors made by their workers, and their sub-par attempts to use putty to fill in major gaps caused by incorrect wood cutting, they practically built a new patio, considering all the wood replacements, and re-replacements. they didn't expect that we would climb the ladder and look out the upstairs windows to see all the errors and flaws they tried to leave on top of the patio structure as well. It was a nightmare job.

Finishers arrived on time, repaired a dent in the door where a car came too close when it was opening, removed all the decorative hardware and restained and refinished the doors, then reinstalled all the hardware. The doors look great, and we will continue to have them come back on a reasonable schedule to keep them looking good.

They don't respond to calls or texts in a timely manner. Yesterday it was car trouble so they couldn't make it, today just no call and no show for work. No call from Andy to update us so we waited around all morning on both days for someone to come and start the work, but nothing. They were supposed to start at 8:30am on both days, after we called repeatedly, Andy finally called around 1pm to say he couldn't reach his worker and would try to start the work tomorrow. Has not been responsive and always requires multiple calls and messages before we can get a response back. Voicemail box says it's full, so texting and calling is all we can do. Everyone says they're good but our experience was the complete opposite. Now we have to start our search all over.

    Lev Remodeling

Lev did a great Job! I contacted Lev to perform electrical work.  He is a highly skilled electrical professional, he was able to clearly communicate the work needed to be done on my initial electrical work request.  Work was completed in timely manner and no issue with quality of work.

One of reasons why I contacted Lev was because he performs a variety of general contracting / remodeling work.  Lev was able to give me advice on interior/exterior painting, door replacement, woodwork liking framing, trim, and baseboard work.  I have been speaking with various professional, but Lev was top in advice he gave me on jobs that need to be performed.  No up selling and certainly an expert on the various types of work needed for general contracting and remodeling.

I will be using Lev's services soon on other projects that need to be completed.  I highly recommend Lev !!

I purchased a coupon, so I was not sure what to expect. It went better than I expected. Douglas did a great job. He arrived on time and completed everything that was asked of him. He was very professional. I would certainly hire him again for another project. Very happy with the purchase of my coupon and the work done by Aguilar Painting.

Willie was professional and was able to start my job quickly. He responded to any issues promptly. The fact that he could do both the wood repair and the painting saved me money, instead of paying for two separate jobs. His crew was very nice. Very happy with the work that was done.

    Parker's Painting
I asked a estimate pricing on July and Garret come to house on schedule for discussion. We got the price quickly and finally decided to begin the exterior painting before the end of Sep. Garret's schedule was busy but he come to my house again and promised to finish the job as earlier as possible. We appreciate. His workers are expert for painting. Both of my wife and i are satisfied with their painting. They did a great job!
Parker's price was not the cheapest we received but i believe we are lucky for choosing their service.

We are not ready to hire Handcrew at this moment because we are waiting for CSLB approval and also their quotation was over our budget.

    Armor Painters

I got a call right back from Mike who I called at (909)345-2150 and  left a message on his cell. He scheduled Keith to come out and look at my place. Armor Painters had previously painted the inside of my parents house 3,281 sq ft and they were extremely happy with the detailed work they did and the care they had with handling all the small furniture and nic nacks. They gave me a good price for complete interior painting, the second appointment Mike came over after hours to bring some sample colors and I painted patches on the wall since I had trouble deciding colors. The guys started working the next week. Everyone was there on time to start moving stuff around and cover everything in the house. Pretty much the first whole day was prep, they caulked and patched settling cracks around some of the windows and touched up texture in some spots on the ceiling that was patched by a plumbing company before years ago. I was pretty impressed with how they matched the knock down texture on the 2 spots. The next day was the same thing everyone showed up on time before I had to go to work and they got started with the walls and ceilings all day. They also got to re coating my deck outside and did some touchup work in the garage. I would say about 90% of the house was done on day 2. On day 3 they did all of the base boards, stairs, and crown molding in a semi gloss. At the middle of day 3 keith walked through the house to do a final inspection and I wrote them a check. They left me with all the extra touchup paint with labels on them and at the end of the day everything was in order and cleaned.

I am very happy with the service everyone involved was professional, clean, and polite. I would personally recommend and refer Armor Painters to anyone needing their house painted.

They did an absolutely fabulous job.   I would happily use them again.    The workman were both punctual, took extra effort to clean up and prepare both the interior and exterior of the house in painting.   We went through  a remodeling at the same time of our tile floors and carpets and they took extra effort to work with us as timing and around the other contractors.   I cant thank the paint team enough for all their time, extra effort, and workmanship.
    regards mike
