It went good. There was nothing that the technician could do so he just came, recommended something and that was it. He was coming because the oven was on, it wouldn't turn off. He said that the oven was obsolete and I needed a new knob. He wasn't able to find one so he said it was up to us to find the knob.

I really appreciated the integrity of this person named Mike.  He could have taken advantage of the situation.  I appreciated his honesty.  I was thinking that I would need to call various repair people for the water heater and heating units.  What a relief to learn that he had the experience to know that the problem was not the stove, but the gas meter.  An inexperienced person would not
    have known.

The first man came to fix the dishwasher and paid $65, but it did not need to be fixed I just was unsure of how to operate it so he charged me $65 to show me how to operate the dishwasher. The second man came to repair the refrigerator, he suggested the wires might be frozen and the compressor might be damaged. He charged me $300 to replace and repair the compressor. He then determined the wires were frozen and told me I need to turn the refrigerator off and let the wires defrost. Another company that I had previously talked to told me that may be the case and to leave the refrigerator unplugged for 2 days to defrost the frozen wires, this repairman told me to leave it unplugged for an hour. So I had to pay 2 separate prices for 2 different men from the same company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We totally lucked out getting an excellent service person as Joseph. We had initially called for service on our Viking refrigerator water dispenser. This water dispenser has caused us nothing but trouble since it came with this refrigerator and this house. Joseph explained clearly and very informatively about Viking appliances and especially the repair-prone water dispensers.

So in order to fix the broken water line, it would require a great deal of work and effort and especially money. We decided on just not having a water dispenser. So as Joseph was leaving, I mentioned that the temperature of the freezer was not cold enough. Joseph immediately identified the culprit. The condenser was literally packed with dust and needed cleaning or the refrigerator would be no more.

So besides cleaning the condenser, Joseph told us lots of really good information about the Viking appliances and how things work.

When we need any other appliance repairs, we are requesting Joseph!

If you want to use a service that recommends equipment you don't need, fails to honor the Angie List coupons they advertise and then attempts to influence your review by offering partial credit for their excessive fees please use this service. If you want an equitable, trustworthy service that will not charge you for parts you don't need then go elsewhere. I had a leak from my frig and was told it was due to a faulty water valve ($285 cost to replace a $30 part). The tech replaced the valve and the frig still leaked. He replaced the waterline thereafter and repaired the leak so why charge for a water valve that worked. He then stated that the line went bad because the main computer board was bad ($315) repair. After having the board checked out ( I kept the part because every fuse and circuit looked good) found out that it functioned perfectly electrically. Also noted that the tech did not take off the $80 fee from the Angie's list coupon I purchased for the visit. $680 fee for the replacement of a frig line. Stick with SEARS if you value your time and money. This company certainly does not and should be banned from advertising their services on Angie's List.

The service appointment was made with Mark, the owner
Mark did the work himself, he was very professional , polite and punctual.   The repairs were made.
For a few days, thereafter, a slow leak continued, so I called Mark.    Without hesitation, Mark came back a second time and
    solved the problem .
There was no haggling or discussion required regarding the second service call .  Mark guaranteed ALL parts and labor, lived up to his guarantee. !!
I recommend this company to anyone having problems with Sub Zero or Wolf appliances..

Bought the $58 diagnostic/repair deal from E Appliance.  Set up a date/time.  Office lady was helpful in that when I had to reschedule the date she did so with no problem.  Joseph came out (about 10 minutes after the scheduled window) and gave us an honest diagnostic: our oven is very old (50 years maybe?) and the needed parts are no longer available.  That's all we needed to hear because now we get to have it replaced by our home insurance!  Quick and tidy service.  Thanks!

Ilya, the son of the owner, came out both times.  Very nice, respectful young man.  My machine (Maytag Duet) is about 12yrs old - almost at the end of its life.  It has been working fine.  No mechanical problems.  But the start button failed.  Turns out the plastic casing that the electronics sit in was getting very friable and pieces started breaking off.  One piece broke off under the start button.  My decision point:  do I fix it for $400 (includ. labor) or do I buy a new machine?  Ilya helped me decide by giving me information about why and when washers tend to fail.  I decided that the new panel is very likely to buy me at least a year, if not longer, before I have to purchase another washer.  We JUST purchased a dishwasher so not having to lay out hundreds of dollars again would be nice!!
Now, before Ilya left, he ran a rinse and drain cycle to make certain the washer was working properly.  He heard that it was draining slowly and noticed a moldy smell and I brought up that small sponges can get caught below the rubber seal inside the washer.  That clicked something in his head and he investigated further.  He took off the bottom panel and opened a drain and wouldn't you know it, there was an old pot scrubber in there!  If he had not been so diligent, I would have been on the phone for another appointment for them to come out and check the machine again.  He saved me time and money because I did not have to spend another day waiting for a repair AND he did not charge me for the plugged drain fix - which was very, very nice of him.  He was also quite clever and neat, using a plastic garbage bag under the drain to collect the water and lint.
I would definitely recommend these folks.  In fact, I plan on giving his info to our local cleaners who refers his customers to reputable service providers.

We looked for A-rated appliance repair on Angies.  Found Sharp Appliance was offering a $25 off deal.  We called him and he was able to come out the next morning.  He came withing the prescribed time frame.  His first offer for price was $225.  My wife negotiated him down to $180.  He replaced the coil and fixed the dryer door latch (it was a little loose) all in about 20 minutes.  He was courteous and professional, but the price seems high for just $20 of work.  Dryer coils can't be that much.
