    VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital
I have been going there for about a year. That is how long we have had our cat. It's real good. They are friendly. I I think they are open 24 hours. You can take a pet in their anytime. It is real easy to schedule with them. He likes it there fine. He does not like the transport there but I can't help that. The vet is very friendly, very informative and pretty timely. You don't have to wait long.

    A ACACIA ANIMAL HOSPITAL
I love this vet - they are so down to earth and no nonsense. You don't feel like they're trying to make money off of you. My dog was due for two vaccinations plus I asked him to express her anal glands. You don't have to wait a long time like other places - you have an appointment at 11:30 and you are in the office at 11:30.

    Happy Dog Training
We have a 1+ year old Terrier Mix rescue dog. At the time we contacted Ralf, we had Bengie for about 4 months. Bengie is small (15 lbs) but HAD a temper and didn't do well around strangers and other dogs. He is very attached to my wife. When Bengie growled nastily and bit me on my nose (actually the 3rd time I had been nipped) we decided that we either return him to the rescue agency OR find a trainer to try to change his behavior. I found Ralf and 'Happy Dog Training' on Angies List. Ralfs location in Corona is not close to our home to Cerritos. We called Ralf for our free consultation and were told by Ralf that he trains all over the LA basin area. As expected, Ralf's initial contact with Bengie wasn't very pleasant (alot of barking and distrust). It didn't take long for Ralf to become in control of Bengie. In our consultation Ralf fully explained the behavorial aspects of dog training and we agreed to continue with the training on a once per week basis for one hour (at our house). My wife and I worked with Bengie to reinbforce the training techniques Ralf had shown us. By the end of the 3rd 1 hour session ($ 100 each) Bengie was able to walk through the neighborhood and meet strangers and other dogs with no problem (there have been a couple of very minor exceptions - we did not expect perfection). Bengie and I are now best buddies. He is truly now a great dog and a great friend and I do not think this would have occurred without the guidance provided by Ralf. His rate of $ 100 per hour seemed a little pricey to me, but I also expected we would need a minimum of 6 sessions, and we only wound up needing 3. The cost was well worth the professional training that we all received. We MORE than received out money's worth. The cjhanges in Bengies temperment are amazing. I think Ralf was even surprised during our 3rd session at how well Bengie had adapted. I strongly recommend Ralf for your dog training needs.

    VCA Los Altos Animal Hospital
I had an emergency situation with my cat. There was ongoing care they wanted me to perform, but they never showed me how (though they did sell me all the equipment to do the procedures). The documents they gave me on my cats condition were printed straight off of an outdated website.  My cat was hospitalized there and the instructions and after care led directly to another hospitalization. This time I took the cat to the VCA in Cerritos. The doctors there were far more responsive and they just have a lot more current resources than Los Altos. Prices are comparable, but the hours are much better and you will end up needing less care so, in a very real way, the Cerritos VCA is less expensive.

    CYPRESS DOG & CAT HOSPITAL
They made an appointment for the same day I called, and saw me promptly. Everyone was very professional, and my dog was treated like a valued patient. They checked him over for general health, and gave him the boosters he needed. They recommended that I get the tartar removed from his teeth (I was aware this was a problem, they just confirmed it). I asked for, and got, a detailed estimate of what that work was going to involve, and they answered all my questions about the process. I will be bringing my dog back there for the procedure in the fall.

We took our cat in because he had a sensitive feline tooth that made it difficult for him to eat. After the initial exam, the immediate diagnosis was the tooth must be extracted and one other tooth had a problem. He suggested we have that tooth extracted as well. The extractions could not be done without the complete dental service which included cleaning. We agreed to that. They also recommended additional lab work and X-rays, which we did not feel necessary. The services were performed within the estimated time and our cat is doing well now. The pain and antibiotic medicines that were prescribed for the cat seemed very expensive and we were not given any options to shop around for better prices. Overall, the service was pleasant and professional.

My dogs got spayed there. Also I put them in a kennel there and they took good care of them.  When I came to get them they had cleaned them. They were nice. I took my dogs’ food to the kennel because I like for them to eat certain food. They must have stayed there 5 years ago. My dog Brittany was 17 when she died and she was spayed there when she was 2 or 3. She has been dead for 3 years. I paid $100 for the boarding. They knew us by first name and they knew my dogs by first name. I will probably use them if I need to. I may use them for the kennel.

    GOLDEN STATE HUMANE SOCIETY
I go there because they provide good service and it’s reasonable, it’s not real expensive. I haven't been for a while because my dog died and I just got a new dog. At one time she had these things in her ears, they are in the grass and they look like stickers or something, I don’t know how they got into her ear, but they got them out of her ear.  I don’t know what they are but they were in her ear and she was whining and whining and I didn’t know what was wrong with her. I took her there and they looked in and they got 3 of them out of her ear.  I must have paid $50-$60; it was not a lot of money. The vet's service is low compared to other ones and there are a lot of dogs there. They have a separate little entrance for the cats on one side and the dogs go in on the other side. They do good service; they are good with the dog. I didn’t have my dog spayed there because she had a heart murmur and they couldn’t do it. If there are chances of complications they don’t do it so I went to a regular vet. They are not a regular vet.  When I go I have to sign-in, they ask you the dog’s name and different things. They keep a record of my dogs. Actually I took 2 dogs there and they all got all their shots there. One died before the other so they really they took care of 2 of my dogs, I will keep going back. There are a lot of people coming in and they have a high volume of work there. They only take so many dogs. It’s a walk-in clinic so I can’t make an appointment.  It is first come, first serve so I have to wait my turn. They are professional. I am going to take my new dog over there.

    Parkview Pet Hospital
She is absolutely fabulous. As a matter of fact, last week I sent her a edible fruit arrangement. She is very compassionate. She listens to us. She realizes that what is in the medical books does not necessarily apply to our animals. Sometimes, the owner knows more about it than the books. She really does take care. Her pricing is based on how much time that we spend with her.

Over the last 20 years VCA has cared for all of our pets. They have helped us during our grieving period after having to " put down" our dogs over the years. Many of the same employees still work there. Love these people
