The repairman was very professional, quick and he did the job. I just think this was a bit expensive. The part was $45, the labor was $225 for a total of $270. He said he could (and did) give me a 5% discount for being a first time customer. Since there is a $80 service fee charged if you don't get the dryer fixed, so by the time I call someone else out, I am still paying too much. He said there is a 20% discount if you a return customer, so I am thinking there is a built in 20% premium right up front Like I said, I have no complaints with the repairman, but $258.75 for 1/2 hour of work just seems expensive to me. I don't care if you call it a flat rate for labor $450/ hour is expensive.

I called in the morning and Gary came by a couple hours later. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He had the part so was able to fix it same day, rather than having to order the part and wait. I have a Whirlpool side by side and is about 18 years old, first time I've had a problem. I have been thinking about remodeling and this would have been a good time to buy a new fridge rather than repairing. But did not have time to research and decide what I wanted so just went ahead with the repair. He was in/out in around half an hour. Not sure how much the part was, but the total amount paid seemed like a lot for just a half hour of work. Amount paid did a include a small Angies list discount. I guess I can't complain since he came by same day, gave excellent service and now the fridge is up and running.

Anthony, his assistant Danny, & his scheduler Rolly are all a pleasure to work with. They'd moved our stove gas line in 2014 when our crawl space was especially muddy and we're still pleasant, informative, and thorough. So we hired them for the rest of our kitchen renovation & will continue to for the rest of our plumbing needs.

Both the removal and installation work was unusually difficult due to the construction of the cabinet and floor, but Mike persevered and got the job done.  He also pointed out that the old dishwasher would be taken away by the Bulky Waste Management pickup, saving us a disposal charge.  The price was fair.  He arrived in the promised two-hour window.

Steve was very professional and friendly.  The work was done quickly and he left with no trace of having been there.  He even gave me good advice on how to keep my washer going for years to come.  I would definitely recommend him to friends

I'd always had good luck with these folks before. They'd fixed numerous appliances quickly and at decent cost. Well, my washing machine was shaking so badly I thought it would break through the floor and "walking" across the floor. I asked him to balance it and he put cardboard underneath! Next time I used the washer it shook right off the cardboard. He explained he could get rubber feet and that would work. They'd need special order so it would be 10 days. It took 3 weeks, I kept calling, finally wrote,  I had paid in advance and was getting po'd. Finally he arrived, said the place he got the feet from were out and hand had to back order, which is what took so long. Fine, but he could have called and let me know. He put in the feet, but the machine still shakes and walks! Admittedly not as bad but for $255 and weeks waiting I expected it fixed. Or at least be honest and tell me it isn't fixable.

From the first call to Steve, I knew that I would like him. The day I called him, he was able to come out to assess what repairs would need to be done.  The replacement part for the ice maker was available at a local warehouse, so Steve ran over to get it and returned to my home the same day and installed it.  Steve is just so knowledgable about appliances, he is friendly, high energy and has a great sense of humor.

We were hoping to get the oven of our KitchenAid gas range repaired.  The service provider looked at our range, told us how old it was, and explained that the combination of steel screws(not stainless) and aluminum plates were designed to rust in place within 8 years so that access to the eletronics on the range was next to impossible.  He explained that at a minimum, the repair would be between $700 - $800 and that beyond that, he could not say because of the access challenge.  He suggested that we would be better off buying a new range.  We appreciated his honesty, and decided to think it over.  He said that the estimate fee would be applied towards the repair should we decide to go forward.  Although we are not happy about the result, we cannot fault Mike's Appliance, but will do our best to keep the range out of the landfill before its time by trying to tap out the screws ourselves and assess where to go from there.

My freestanding oven and stove was not working.  I recently bought the house, so it was under warranty (even though the appliance is very old).  The insurance company sent another contractor who told me it was not fix-able and told my insurance company that the problem would not be covered under the terms of my warranty.  He advised me to buy a new stove.
I called Mike's company and they promptly returned my call.  I scheduled for him to come out the next day and he was on time. He also gave me a 30 minute courtesy call before he arrived, which I very much appreciated.   He figured out that the oven was a simple fix...the child lock was on.  Simple as that and the other appliance guy could not figure it out.  Thank goodness I had Mike come out, because he saved me $500+ on buying a new stove!

I started looking for a new oven but decided that I would get a second opinion.  I went on Angieslist and found another repairman.  He came out said it was not sediment build-up, but that the child's safety lock was on.  Seriously!  Now my stove/oven works fine and I did not have to pay $500.
