Interior Painting reviews in Castaic

    TME Construction Inc
My house is 11 years old and beginning to show some wear.  Specifically, I felt the outside of the house needed painting, especially the trim and the patio cover.  Additionally, the linoleum in the bathrooms and laundry room was coming up and yellow and blue colors bleeding through.  I wanted to install new porcelain tile in these areas.  Finally, I wanted another shelf built in the garage similar to the one built last year so I could get more ?stuff? off the garage floor.
I called Tony for an estimate.  I have used TME Construction in the past and have referred them to friends.  Tony felt the outside of the house was fine, and recommended a pressure wash and paint for all of the trim and patio cover.  With regards to tile installation, he said his tile setter did an excellent job.  I decided to have tile installed in more areas than originally planned (including removing existing tile in the kitchen).  Tony and I agreed on the price for all of the above, plus some handyman services, and scheduled the job.
The painters worked on the outside of the house, patio cover, and built the second shelf in the garage.  They did an excellent job, and took special effort to ensure that everything looked good.  Before, we were done I renegotiated the job and asked the painters to also paint the wrought iron gates (paint was peeling and rust showing).  They also did a great job on the gates.

Scott, the tile setter, and his workers arrived a few days later to begin the tile installation.  Scott set the first tile (the one that would determine the layout for the rest of the house), and suggested that I include tile in the family room.  There was no pressure, and he kept working.  I watched him work and agreed that he was right; the room would look much nicer and larger with tile
throughout.  Again, Tony and I renegotiated the estimate and Scott, installed approximately 700 square feet of porcelain
tile throughout the house.  As Tony indicated, Scott is an excellent tile setter; very thorough and methodical.  I love my new tile.
Tony?s son, Tony, Jr., did most of the requested handyman repairs.  He installed the three faucets, fixed the
leak in the bathtub and fixed a couple of more minor problems, plus was there when appliances, etc. had to be moved and returned.  He did an excellent job here as well.

    MINT CONDITION PAINTING
Jon came out and gave us a reasonable estimate and was very attentive to our concerns.  When we hired him he came out with paint samples to choose from and once narrowed down gave us large color samples so we could pick the color we wanted.  When the crew came out they were courteous and Oscar made sure all our details were addressed.  There was good communication throughout the four days they were here.  We love the job they did and would recommend them.

They were very professional, there was not a pushy salesman who came.  The price was very competitive to who we ended up choosing.  When I need more painting done I will be calling them.

This is the second job Robert and his excellent crew have done for me. They were punctual, reliable and flexible with design changes. The work was done in a timely, neat and professional matter. Robert made sure I was satisfied with the work every step of the way. He helped with picking paint colors and advising which materials would be best. I would recommend Aylor Construction highly and will continue to use them for other home projects in the future.

The estimate was itemized. Everything was good but his expertise was not in everything so I have to get someone else to do other jobs for me. He was very professional about it and he was upfront about telling me that it's not his expertise which was good. I'm glad about that.

I have wanted to complete the garage for almost ten years; plus I had a couple of small jobs that needed to be done.  I have contacted people in the past but never felt comfortable, therefore, the garage remained undone.  A friend suggested that I get on Angie's List so I joined and the first thing I looked up "Handyman Services" for my area.  TME Construction was the first to appear and I liked the fact that it was a local company and all of the reviews were favorable.  I called the company and left a message.  Tony (the owner) called me back that evening and made arrangements to see the work that needed to be done.  Tony stopped by the next day.  He sent me an estimate via email and I wrote back with some questions.  Once this once done, we agreed on a time and price.  His team of workers (Al, Robert, Jeffery and Anthony) showed up on time, and completed their jobs effectively and cleaned up when done.  I'm very pleased with the outcome.  The garage is finally finished and I'm able to get "stuff" off the floor and onto the shelves.  Also, Tony and his son showed up to complete the "handman" jobs that I had asked to be done.

    MINT CONDITION PAINTING
The company was professional from start to finish.  Jon returned my call promptly and we made an appointment to have him do a walk around so that he could do an estimate.  He told me the brand and quality of the paint he uses and what the process would be for cleaning the exterior and repairing the weather damaged trim.  He took notes and before he left he gave me information about the his licenses and insurance.  He also gave me a list of past customers that I could call.  He emailed the quote promptly. We made our decision and emailed him to set up an appointment to look at colors.  We picked a few similar color combinations and he had the paint company make the large sample so the we could take them outside to hold up to the wall.  It was a nice way to make the final choice.
We told him the final choice, but because I was called out of town I was unable to schedule a time for the work to be done.  After I returned. I emailed him that we would like to have the work done at his earliest possible convienence. He had an opening the very next week because of a change in schedule at another job. So less that week after telling Jon that we were ready, the exterior of our house was repaired and painted.  I don't think it has ever look this good.
The Crew was prompt and worked all day. The repairs look great. The paint on the house is perfect and there is none where is should not be.  They even put the trash cans back in the same order that my wife always keeps them.  Details are obviously very important to them.
Mint Condition Painting was recommeded to me by a friend. I am more than pleased with their work. I highly recommend them to my fellow Angie's list members.  I plan to have them back when we get  ready to paint the interior.

3 Day Flooring, Kitchen and Baths
This project started in late October 2012 and ended in the first part of February 2013. 3 Day Flooring & Kitchens did a full remodel of a 2-bed 2-bath condo. I liked that they were always accessible and would get back to me if I had any questions or issues. The project did take a little longer than they had anticipated. The work turned out very well. I had gotten several bids and this was the best.

Robert and his crew were reliable and payed great attention to details.  He listened to all my concerns and ideas about a small kitchen remodel.  He was always on time and finished the job in a timely manner.  Great to work with.  I would hire him again and have told many friends about his service.  Overall, Excellent and professional and competitively priced.  Thanks for a great kitchen remodel.

I have never had a contractor to date that has been problem free until I found TME construction. I usually anticipate some disappointment in the improvement process. Tony and his crew impressed me at every turn. They were efficient, timely, trustworthy, accurate, courteous, and fast. They did what they said they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, and did the job for the price they said they would do it for. Amazing. This was a first for me. I even left the house while they were doing the work leaving them unsupervised by myself and found that I wasn't even close to being worried about my valuables. Another first for me. Tony the owner/contractor was on the job site the whole time managing the job. He is not one of those contractors who bids and accepts they responsibility and then you never see him again until its payday or turns around and sub contracts to another company. This was a class act and TME also came in less than the other bids. That was the icing on the cake. Be advised that Tony is quite the character but I enjoyed the time I spent with him and his crew very much. The members of his crew were also pros. I recommend him highly and needless to say that my kitchen and bath remodel I am scheduling to do will also be done by TME.  I cant recommend them strongly enough. Don't even waste your time with the other contractors. I finally found a stand up contractor I can count on and trust. It only took the better part of twenty years as a home owner with income proprieties as well.
