It went really well. We are very happy with the finished product. They cleaned up at the end of each day and made steady progress on the job. We got a regular update and we're very happy with the quality of the work.

Jim the owner is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and responsive. The work was completed as specified and on time bar one small hiccup which was resolved very quickly. Even though I had paid Jim in full, when I called and explained what was still needed he came back without question and spent another two hours, with no extra charge. He has a vast amount of knowledge and I Highly recommend him if you want the job done right. you will not go wrong with Christian Construction.

Jim was responsive to my call. The house was 25 years old so I wanted it rebuilt and modernized. Jim has plenty of experience with custom homes so he had great ideas. The contract was for $91000. I added about $10000 to the job based on recommendations by Jim. I pulled the water heater and added a tankless water heater. I used a nicer grade of hybrid flooring and glass tile for the kitchen and bathrooms and modern fixtures that really made those rooms look great and I had my big screen tv wall mounted. There were lots of custom touches to his work, Jim's crew of 2 extremely experienced workers and they can build/install anything. The drywall, a/c ducts, flooring and painting was sub-contracted, but Jim had each of those subs back to fix small errors. He has a critical eye, so he noticed things that I didn't but I was glad that he did so I didn't fret about it. The job took longer than I anticipated, but I am very happy with the result. Some of the delay was due to sub-contractor availability. Jim is very easy to work with, polite and professional. I recommend him for any of your needs.

    Solid General Construction
The job went real smooth. The guys helped me out with repairing sections of my deck that had become dry rotted over the years. They removed the bad boards and installed new pressure treated framing boards and replaced the decking on top. They were able to save me from having to replace the whole deck, which was a big help. They also replaced some fence posts for me while salvaging the redwood panels. I could tell that Nick really cared about saving me money so that I could get the deck and the fence tuned up in one shot and on budget.

    RPS Remodeling, inc.

RPS was responsive and prompt. Rick, the owner, provided a very competitive bid, Paul did the tear-off and installation, and the entire process took about seven days. Paul did very professional work, left a clean job site each night, and kept us posted on his schedule. There was one minor glitch on the Shakertown cedar shake panels being used: the originally-delivered materials did not have gaps between the individual shakes, and because we are painting them, had to have those gaps so they matched the other side of the garage that was not being replaced.. Paul and Rick arranged for the panels with the gaps to be delivered the morning of the next working day, and although they were not the pre-primed ones originally quoted, RPS gave me a fair discount to allow my painter to do the priming when he paints later in September, and we are all pleased with the outcome.

The resulting job is perfect, with even some enhancements (extra trim at the corners, some minor repairs of some prior dry rot in the substrate, and flashing where the sidewalk abuts the garage), all at no extra cost. The work looks better than the remaining side of the garage (north side) that had not weathered, but matches very well. We are very happy with the workmanship and results.

    Alkema Painting
Very happy with the end result. Not happy with the extremes I had to go through to get someone to acknowledge the coupon after the initial estimate. Hence my overall B rating. Once that problem was resolved and Chris (owner) contacted me, everything went smoothly. I highly suspect that the coupon did not cover the entire cost of all the areas painted, even though Chris repeatedly assured me it did. I was willing and prepared to pay the extra. I think he did that because of the communication problems we experienced after the initial estimate. Once we get more repairs done , I will use them to complete the house later this year.

    America's Advantage Remodeling

We had four contractors bid on our exterior siding/painting project.  Eugene from America's Advantage really impressed us with his professionalism, knowledge and his comprehensive bid. Our existing siding on the front of our house was in very poor condition with a lot of dry rot.  They tore down the siding and sheathed the walls with plywood and covered it in paper to meet manufacturer's warranty requirements and installed Hardie Board.  The back of our house was in bad need of repair (dry rot) and they replaced the existing T11(?) with new.  They painted the entire house, paying attention to every detail. These guys work hard and do a great job?very good work ethic.  They were courteous and clean.  We are very happy with the results and glad we chose America's Advantage.  We highly recommend them!!

    Good News Home Improvements
Good News Home Improvements were fine. They did what they said they would do. I didn't have a problem and they seemed to be professional. Their salesman was very professional and the workers were fairly good. I guess their price was comparable. The office staff  was very good. If I had any complaints at all they were right there. If I want to do the rest of the  house I would probably use them again.

    Alco Siding & Windows Inc
It was a free estimate. They were very nice and friendly. However, their price was a little high. The guy was professional. I am not sure if I will use them again as this is just a one-time project. I will consider using them again depending on the project.

    Forever Wood Construction
Do make sure you and your contractor understand each other and explain exactly what you need and want.  Most often
old homes will have problems with dry rot, termites, old electrical and a good contractor lets you know you have these problems and will give you an estimate of what it will cost to fix them.  My opinion is if you are going to have a job done you should not mask problems.  We were fortunate not to have had dry rot.  The bones of our house was in very good condition.  However, our electrical panel was going to need replacing.  If you have your home already open to reside or whatever you are doing the extra time and cost is worth it.

Do check for licesne that is current.  No what type of permits will be needed.
