We have used Terrell on multiple occasions including very large complex remodel to minor repairs. He does excellent work. He is totally trustworthy. I can highly recommend him. He just completed repairs for us.

    Solid General Construction
The job went great from start to finish. One thing that I really appreciated was Nick's attention to detail and general cleanliness. We have grand kids coming in and out and we were concerned that there would be wood scraps and nails that could hurt the kids. We were pleased to see that every day when they were finishing up they loaded all the debris into a trailer and used a magnet to get all the nails. We have had some not so great experiences with larger companies and wanted to use a smaller crew where the actual contractor would show up to do the work, and that's what we got. These guys are some good guys. It is nice to have a family crew come out and do a great job. Thanks so much fellas!

    CHRISTIAN CONSTRUCTION
Jim was responsive to my call. The house was 25 years old so I wanted it rebuilt and modernized. Jim has plenty of experience with custom homes so he had great ideas. The contract was for $91000. I added about $10000 to the job based on recommendations by Jim. I pulled the water heater and added a tankless water heater. I used a nicer grade of hybrid flooring and glass tile for the kitchen and bathrooms and modern fixtures that really made those rooms look great and I had my big screen tv wall mounted. There were lots of custom touches to his work, Jim's crew of 2 extremely experienced workers and they can build/install anything. The drywall, a/c ducts, flooring and painting was sub-contracted, but Jim had each of those subs back to fix small errors. He has a critical eye, so he noticed things that I didn't but I was glad that he did so I didn't fret about it. The job took longer than I anticipated, but I am very happy with the result. Some of the delay was due to sub-contractor availability. Jim is very easy to work with, polite and professional. I recommend him for any of your needs.

The job went real smooth. The guys helped me out with repairing sections of my deck that had become dry rotted over the years. They removed the bad boards and installed new pressure treated framing boards and replaced the decking on top. They were able to save me from having to replace the whole deck, which was a big help. They also replaced some fence posts for me while salvaging the redwood panels. I could tell that Nick really cared about saving me money so that I could get the deck and the fence tuned up in one shot and on budget.

    Cullumber Engineering
I had structural engineer, Wesley Cullumber www.CullumberEng.com out to my house to evaluate the construction project for a room enclosure on a raised deck to determine what would be required for the building permit process.  If I had started with him, I would have saved so much time & money plus avoided the hassles of dealing with the county building department myself.  His visit had been offered as a free estimate, but I chose to pay him for the hour of his time & expertise after he provided such valuable information which kept me from wasting more time and money.
His past experience as a construction worker coupled with is training as an engineer gives him an excellent vantage point for evaluating construction projects.  I appreciated that he was honest and efficient- instead of dragging out the process and charging me for several hours of calculations that would have brought him to the same conclusion.  I plan to keep his contact information for any future projects and highly recommend him to others as well.

    Madson Construction & Plastering
Complete renovation of exterior including redesign, stucco, wood work, concrete shakes, roof line improvement, stonework, and plumbing issues. Jerry has an incredible sense of perfectionism that I have not experienced from any other contractor. I am picky but his great workers and his expectations of the job never made me feel like I needed to get him to do work better. I just knew (and saw) that things were done to my high expectations without my having to intervene.

    BORGE DEVELOPMENT INC
I am the current owner of the house that Borge Development INC built in 2002.
I have several small problems for the house and complained to the Borge company before 10 years warranty was expired (that was about 2009 and 2010), but they ignored my request at that time.
Now 10 warranty is expired, and I got a drainage problem that could lead to overflow house when rains hard.  Just couple days ago, I contacted Borge company to get a copy of drainage system layout plan that they used for year 2002, so that I can use as a reference to fix the drainage system.  I also told them that I will spend my own money to fix the drainage, so there is no financial burden for them.   I was told that only owner of the company, Thomas Borge, can answer me the question.  So I was waiting for him to contact me.  I didn't get the call, so I called several times, and company kept excused that he was not in his office.  After several time I called them , a secretary or operator answered that the company doesn't keep the plan since 10 years warranty is expired.  Year 2013 is only a year after the 10 year expiration, and I don't think they erase the archive of those file or hard copy.  At first, a secretary or operator of the company told me that only owner of the company could address the issue I have, then  a secretary or operator answered me that they don't keep the plan after 10 years warranty is expired.  I never had a chance to talk to the owner of the company who can answer my question.
They are very irresponsible, non-professional that  they think they can get over after they sold the product.
If a product is small things, I wouldn't bother it, but if a product is a house which generally big portion of your wealth, don't  you consider seriously?   If you are looking for a builder, I am not recommend BORGE DEVELOPMENT INC.

    SAULT CONSTRUCTION GROUP
This has been one of the worst experiences of our life.  After three months, we discovered he was not licensed.  I had checked him before, but he let his license lapse three weeks before he started our project.  He was working without Workers Comp insurance, risking his men and exposing us to liability if they were injured.  He lied to me about them being employees and was paying them cash "under the table" without withholding.
He poured the foundation incorrectly resulting in the loss of 30 sq. feet of useable floor space downstairs.  He arbitratily chose to ignore the plans and did not do the special design on one corner of the house. This puts the house close to a large oak tree and means it will at some point impinge on the house.  Already we cannot install a rain gutter on that corner. because it's too close.  He ordered windows that were the wrong color and were not energy efficient, contrary to the plans.  When we objected, he said they only came in white and he'd split the cost with us of replacing them.  He left them unchanged and ignored the energy requirement.  He did unnecessaery damage to the yard in accessing the back of the house.  He built in things we did not want.  He ran ducting for the HVAC through an outside wall around into the basement.  He failed to have the steel supporting columns galvanized.  He had us order a $3200 pre-fab shower only to tell us later it couldn't be used because it would not pass county codes.
We had known him for five years, and he had done tenant improvements where I work, so we thought we could trust him.  Shortly after he started working here, he told his crew and subcontractors not to talk to us so everything had to go through him, probably so he could control the information.  He ignored things we specifically asked him to do, assuring us they would be done.
He took at least $29,000 in cash we advanced and used it for unknown purposes.  He failed to pay the lumber yard, electrician, HVAC subcontractor, an engineer and the plumber from the funds we advanced, and we had to make duplicate payments to them.
The California State Contractors Licensing Board is moving to revoke his license.  We sued him, but he defaulted.  We expect our judgment against him to be over $120,000.
He worked for our next door neighbor while his license was suspended during this investigation.  He was limited to $500 work as a handyman, but did more and is still driving his truck with the company name on it.

    ALL PHASE IMPROVEMENTS
I feel that I got the very best  choices for me, and within my budget.  I especially appreciated the attention to detail by the installers--no shoddy work.  Another big point is that they were easy to work with.  I can't think of a single thing that I would have requested differently.  Highly recommended.
