We cannot be more pleased with Phillip. He was one of three contractors we received bids from. He was substantially less than the other two. He was creative, prompt, courteous, skilled, and most of all, unflappable. Remodeling a 70 year old home was not without its challenges and surprises, and Phillip just rolled with whatever came along. He offered great solutions to problems that came up and was very patient with all of our questions and changes. We piled on extras and he accommodated us at every turn. He had great subcontractors who did excellent work. He finished on time. We are very satisfied.

I must say that one thing you want when someone is working around your house is it to be kept clean. We have 3 kids and when the bathroom was a mess and torn apart it was always clean when we got home. They quality of the work is second to none. Paul will work with you about every detail on the job you are looking to do. We could not be happier with all the work that they did.

Ryan, Phil, and their tradesmen were the absolute best. They were patience, kind, and really listened to what we wanted. The entire process was the smoothest remodel we've ever experienced. The management and tradesmen were top notch. Truthfully, sometimes we barely knew the were in the house! We highly recommend this company for your big and small projects. We have already referred the company to our family member and neighbors. Many, many thanks to you guys!!

Each project was taken on with great care. Paul has always ensured that he understood exactly what we were looking to do and that it was done at or above expectations. He has been available for questions and will offer his expert opinion when needed. His crew is always prompt and works diligently until the project is completed. It is without hesitation that I recommend Paul Kearney, Inc.

Everything went well. Roger showed up before 8 am every day and finished the job sooner than expected. When a problem was found with the vanity top not fitting on the base correctly, he improvised a solution. He did all the work while Kim made trips to Lowe's for paint, mirror, etc. and handled the paperwork.

Phil provided bid & helped me pick out tiles & was always available for questions. Ryan was very responsive to our needs; always kept us updated as to when he or contractors would be on site. Workers & subs were friendly & professional. First day on the job they found 6" of water in our crawl space, Ryan installed a sump pump to eliminate any future concerns. Remodel took about 2 months to complete.

Mike Phillips responded quickly to our request for an estimate to install tile on our laundry room floor. During our estimate meeting, he was thorough describing what he would do, how it would be done and options. We were impressed during the estimate. As we know, the proof of workmanship and customer service is in results. We had already purchased the floor tiles and he advised what other products to purchase before the installation. When work began, he could have installed the tile as he desired; however, he laid a sample pattern, explained the layout and had us decide on the look we wanted to achieve. Mike was prompt, efficient, worked quickly and communicated throughout the entire process. We could not be happier with the result and highly recommend his tile work. We will contact him in the future for other handyman work.

The workmanship was very poor. I had them replace the original tiles in the shower to the 12x18 size tiles. The tile work ended up with the spaces between the tiles being very inconsistent - narrow to wide. The tiles on the shower floor was worse. I told Dave that I could feel many edges and corners on the tiles as I walked in the shower. I felt one misstep would result in an injury. He said he would fix it. The repair was worse than the first installation. When he offered to fix it again at additional cost I decided to get a second opinion. I consulted five professional tile installers and they all agreed the work was substandard. They said the sides of the shower floor was so steep it was like standing in a bowl. I decided to rip out the entire shower and have a professional tile installer do the work. Best decision I made! It's been a year since Dave worked on my bathroom and I have had plumbing leaks. The shower hardware they installed has been leaking. The pipes under the sinks started leaking and it was apparent that the pipes were not put in straight but we're angled. The repair was difficult because they glued the tubing in tight... The tile installed on the floor is wavy. They were not laid flat. We will be replacing the tile on the floor. This bathroom has cost us a lot more than what we originally contracted for because of the amateur work that was performed.

Awesome Superior Tile Design redid Awful Tile Work. 5-star remodel contractor on Angie’s List and Home Advisor gave us awful tile work for bathroom floor and shower, but offered us remedial effort at our cost. We hired Filip, a tile specialist, instead of a general contractor to rip out the shower and start over. Filip is an awesome tiler—a true professional that knows how to do it right and uses the right tools to make it come out right. The waterproof foam tile backer boards were perfectly fit to each wall in one piece and the tiles are perfectly flat and evenly spaced with 1/16 in. grout lines. The cement shower pan was perfectly troweled with a carpenter level to the specified slope and the small floor tiles were perfectly applied between the wall and the drain. Can we ask for more? Yes, he gave us a good price. The following is only for your information, if you do not hire Filip. The 5-star contractor used skilled subcontractors to install the hot mop waterproofing for shower pan, to install the frameless shower door, and to install the granite vanity countertop. But he used his son and nephew to do most of the work, including the shower enclosure and bathroom floor tiles, carpentry, plumbing, and cabinet and fixture installation. They had the skills of a general handyman. They torched the wall studs without heat shields while connecting plumbing, applied caulk with visible gaps and sloppiness, and used screws to hold down the corners of floor tiles so they could avoid having to level the subfloor, and they left excess grout to permanently dry onto the tiles. Worst of all, their tile skills were awful. They only used their eyes and a hand tool—a masonry trowel to form the cement shower pan and a notched trowel to apply mortar for the tiles. The results were: 1) wavy sink bowl shower floor that is far from meeting minimal good practice requirements slope and depth; 2) uneven installation of small shower floor tiles that were very uncomfortable to stand on; 3) big 1’x2’ tiles that are not flat to the shower wall; 4) shower head fixture located to one side of control valve instead of at center; 5) tile backer boards installed with ½” gaps that will allow water to flow to the ceiling below if the grout at the wall corners ever leaked; 6) big 1’x2’ floor bathroom tiles are not flat and level to the floor (every tile is tipped forward or backward or to one side or the other), 7) they leave hard to remove dried grout on the tiles, and they do not clean up when they leave. What we learned: Don’t assume that the highest cost contractor is the best, clearly specify quality and performance requirements in the contract that can be measured or ascertained, don’t inspect until they have cleaned up to your satisfaction (it should look showroom new), don’t sign off the contract and make the final payment until you have verified that all the requirements were met. Jim was responsive to my call. The house was 25 years old so I wanted it rebuilt and modernized. Jim has plenty of experience with custom homes so he had great ideas. The contract was for $91000. I added about $10000 to the job based on recommendations by Jim. I pulled the water heater and added a tankless water heater. I used a nicer grade of hybrid flooring and glass tile for the kitchen and bathrooms and modern fixtures that really made those rooms look great and I had my big screen tv wall mounted. There were lots of custom touches to his work, Jim's crew of 2 extremely experienced workers and they can build/install anything. The drywall, a/c ducts, flooring and painting was sub-contracted, but Jim had each of those subs back to fix small errors. He has a critical eye, so he noticed things that I didn't but I was glad that he did so I didn't fret about it. The job took longer than I anticipated, but I am very happy with the result. Some of the delay was due to sub-contractor availability. Jim is very easy to work with, polite and professional. I recommend him for any of your needs.
