ABaggett Construction ServicesMax Baggett is a great guy to work with, friendly and accommodating. He always got back to me in a timely manner when I called and explained clearly what he was going to do so I knew exactly what was going to happen. He's not inexpensive but he tries to keep cost down as much as possible while still giving you good quality work. I expect the workmanship will last many, many years. He and his crew did a first rate job in upgrading my 1950's home. He gave excellent advice and if he wasn't sure on some decorating point he admitted it. The kitchen hadn't had any work done on it since the 1960's. The first job I had done was the 3/4 wall height paneling I had installed in the kitchen eating area. It looks like something from a craftsman house. It instantly added interest in the kitchen. The next thing was replacing the formica counters in the kitchen with silestone. I also had a tumbled marble back splash put in at the same time to match the silestone counters. I am very happy with the results. After that was remodeling the bathroom, also from the early 1960's. It was gutted. When replacing some walls it was found to have extensive termite damage, almost all the wood had been eaten where the bathroom window was. The only thing holding it up was the outside of the house! Max took me personally to pick out the bathroom sink stone top at a small stone yard so I didn't need to buy a huge piece, I appreciated that a lot. So I saved money there. His talented work crew did a bang up job installing the tile in the room. The next to the last job done was evening and replacing all the floors in the house. The kitchen floor wasn't the same height as the adjoining floors and people would trip going in or out of the kitchen. That was fixed. The carpet in the living room and bedrooms was over 40 years old and was replaced with a dark hardwood floor including the hallway. New carpeting was installed in the bedrooms. Crown molding was installed throughout the house. The crown molding looks especially outstanding in the hallway. The last thing done was installing a gas insert and covering the original brick fireplace with green marble. I kept the original wood mantel. The fireplace is a fantastic focal point of the room now. If I should need any more work done I would definitely have Max do the work as it is top quality.- mary s.

AFischer Construction IncJust as he did for his previous renovation project, he took such care with passion and integrity. My favorite is the gas fire pit. I showed him a square cereal bowl and told him that is the shape of the fire pit that I would like to have. In the matter of a month or so, I had a fire pit, even better than how I pictured it, yes in the shape that I wanted, matching nicely with the beautiful stone walls in front of the house that Butch recently worked on. This is what I like about him and the reason why I cannot go with anyone else when it comes to designing. He really wanted to know what I like, had me drive around look at different landscapes, research about what sort of plants I like, then discussed with me various times as both Butch and I came up with new ideas to incorporate to the project. I watched what I pictured in my mind become real. It was very uplifting process. I can say the same about the remodeling project. I feel a sense of ownership and closeness to everything that Butch worked on as he let me get involved in the process of it from the beginning to the end. I am still mesmerized by the beauty and perfection of his work. Consider yourself lucky, if you can manage to get him. Good luck with your project!- Satomi M.

AFischer Construction IncButch Fischer is completely reputable responsible honest and hardworking. There were never less than 3 people working, and frequently more. He has superb subs that do high quality work. Everyone showed up at 8:00 and left at 4:30. When circumstances demanded folks worked weekends and evenings. AFor context, we hired System Pavers for work on our forever home. We spent about $80,000 on the project. We were not payed or compensated in anyway for this review. Because I've owned my own business for years, I felt compelled to right this review because good service and quality work, which exceeds expectations, deserves to be recognized. Let's be clear, System Pavers competes over quality and service, not price. Chrys Hoffman provided excellent design services. She made extra trips to ensure that we developed a vision that worked for me and my wife. Additionally, when there were scope changes, she made sure to call those out along with any additional charges. She gave us time between sessions to discuss and incubate our thoughts. When the project was completed the only surprises were good ones. System Pavers completed the project at the price we were expecting. System Pavers never nickle-and-dimed us. They were accommodating over any issues that were not adequately defined from the beginning. They also provided helpful suggestions that at times meant extra work for them. For example, on our side gate entrance, they recommend creating a cut-out to keep the garbage cans and allow a clear walkway into the backyard. They didn't even charge extra for that. They also extended our Pavers a few yards beyond the original plan to cover the cement which was demolished to make room trenching gas and electrical into an outdoor kitchen area. Nick Padilla, our project manager, went out of his way to help our dream come true. We had planned a 3-column basalt fountain. I was really attached to using a multi-colored fountain lights kit, embedded in the bore holes of the basalt columns to light up the water at night. However, when the fountain lights arrived, I discovered that the boreholes were about 1/2 inch to small to mount the lights flush with the tops of the columns. Nick had experience with stone masonry. He volunteered to help bore out the column holes an extra half inch at the top to make the fountain lights work. It worked. The fountains look fantastic at night! Nick made it happen for us. I've compared System Pavers' work to the work some of our neighbors completed with small independent contractors. It is easy for anyone to immediately see the difference in quality. Friends that have come to visit have commented on the excellent job System Pavers did with the pavers--friends in the contracting and construction business. One last thing. System Pavers remains focused on their core business, but they understand that completing a project often includes work that is not part of their core business. They referred a general contractor named Mohsen Esfahani who was very experienced and easy to work with. We could tell him what we wanted to do and he would suggest a variety of ways to do it--always starting with the least expensive options. He's pricing was very fair and his work was very good. If you are lucky, you will get Mohsen on your project also. Again, hats-off to Chrys Hoffman, Nick Padilla, Angel, Roberto, Mohsen, and the rest of the guys on the team.

AMy family and I moved to our home a few months ago and needed someone to help with upkeep on our front and back yards. We have quite a few redwood trees on our property and they’re not forgiving. We also needed a lot of cleanup of unmaintained areas. Silver came out, gave a reasonable estimate and was able to come the next day to work. They did an excellent job on their first visit and looking forward to them continuing to come!

DI have heard great things from the reviews on Angies List as well as the reviews on google. As a result ,I was hoping to get in contact with Max Baggett. After several calls ( I knew contractors were very busy) , he finally gave me a call in the fall of 2017. We set up an appointment to review the plans and talk about what I needed to be done. He showed up on time and was very professional and was very easy to talk to. I told him that we were planning to contruct a 452 sq ft addtion that involved extending our 1/2 bath into a full bath as well as remodeling our kitchen. I gave him my set of plans and he said he would contact me to give a bid. After about a month or so, he did not contact me. I gave him a call to ask about the bid. He said he was still in the process of getting in done which was fine, no problem there. More months go by and still no word. It's now around January of 2018 and I gave him a call. He returned my call and we talked and he said something along the lines of "I'll be honest with you. I still have not gotten the bid done. I will get on it as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience." Based on the other reviews on the quality of work, I decided to more patient and allow him to complete the bid. Months go by and still no word. I go on to call him again and leave several messages about when can I expect the bid to be done and if he can just let me know if he is still interested in our project. I just needed to know an answer because at this point, he was the only contractor we were waiting to hear on. And based on his positive reviews, I thought it was worth this LONG wait. To this day, he never called me back about our project.
