    BARRY'S CARPET Service Inc.
Barry's has been our 'go to' carpet cleaner for over ten years. We've consistently found the quality of their work to be professional, timely, & thorough. We have thrown some pretty tough jobs at them, and they always have the technical skill to solve the problems. They also offer tips for keeping the carpets looking nice and recommend spot cleaning methods we can use between cleanings. Their crews are friendly, professionally trained, and hard working.

Was honest that they were going to be closed for a Xmas break and I wouldn't get my carpets back in time for the holidays.  Delivered as promised in January.  This is is the ONLY vendor on the Monterey Peninsula  with the large industrial machines necessary to thoroughly clean area rugs and antique carpets from both sides, not just the top like regular carpet services.
I also had them do large area rugs before with bad stains, they warned me which ones probably wouldn't come out.  They got all the discolorations and light stains out, as promised.

On time.  Good job.  Carefully moved antique furniture where necessary.
I have also  used this vendor twice before at a rental house, where he was honest about ability to get stains out, and that certain deep stains were likely to reappear within months of initial cleaning.  Used 2-stage wet + dry carpet cleaning over two separate visits once a year to do a major improvement to Berber carpet with stains that hadn't been cleaned regularly..

It was a year ago but I saw them on Angie's List and thought I should add a review. Excellent, professional, courteous and I'm overdue for another cleaning, so I'll be calling them back pronto. i highly recommend. I can't remeber what I paid. I have a small apartment but I found the price to be fair.

    On-The-Spot Carpet Cleaning

I was given "the big sales spiel" and he required payment before he began the job. He took no measurements, but charged me for cleaning 1200 sq. ft. of wall-to-wall carpet in an 1800 sq.ft. house. In fact he only cleaned the center of the rooms and around furniture, never moving anything. There is a California King sized bed in the main bedroom that takes up most of the room. Only the perimeter was cleaned. I later discovered an area next to the end of the sofa that was literally black from a spill. It hadn't been touched. He claimed the job would "be perfect".

He claimed that he would "do the baseboards" (whatever that means) which he couldn't have done without moving the sofa out. He said he would clean the window and door tracks. Didn't. He talked about a "complementary car wash", but nothing materialized. Although he used a fan for a short while, it still took overnight to dry. The most shocking to me was the price, and the fact that I paid it. The most I have ever paid, and for better jobs, was $300. I can only advise others to get other estimates before committing.

    NatureWise Chem-Dry
I accidentally purchased a Big Deal from a provider at my old home in Minnesota and not at my new home in California. I didn't realize this error until the company reached out to me and said that they had my California address. Obviously, they cannot perform the service in California so I have reached out to Angie's List to refund the purchase.

    BARRY'S CARPET Service Inc.
We spotted Barry's truck in the neighborhood, got a card from a crew member and called for an appointment. Barry himself set one up for the next morning. Quick, professional work done with a smile and a helping hand. Made our tired old carpet presentable under "impossible" circumstances and even took a small neglected old oriental carpet back to the shop for hand washing and brought it back next morning sparkling clean, just as the caterers arrived. Of course we'll call on Barry again!

Brain the owner showed up himself.  We talked about what I wanted him to do, i.e. which carpets I wanted cleaned and whether I wanted him to treat the clean carpets with a protectant afterwards or not.  He then gave me an estimate.  After we agreed on the price, he performed the work.  Brian is a very nice person who is pleasant to be around, very accommodating and conscientious.  I felt throughly comfortable having him in my home.  He did a great job!  I would definitely have him back again.

    MY Pro Dry
I had a 11'x11' badly pet soiled synthetic area rug and a smaller area rug cleaned in the house with the understanding that they could get most of the stains and smell out. The smaller carpet came out allright. The larger one smelled worse then before they cleaned it and none of the stains were removed. I was told that it just needed to dry out for the smell to disappear. I waited four days with a fan going on it and no improvement. I called and was told that they could come out and try again for another $40 or that they would take it back to thier shop to do a better job for a lot more money. There was no agreement and they would not budge on thier "deal." I later hired another company, who told me there was no way it would clean while in the house and the only way to do it would be to take it back to their shop. I ended up paying them to clean the carpet again and they returned it in a couple of days looking great and with no smell and at a better price then Pro Dry.

    Five Star Carpet Care
They are fantastic and the best in all my years. His name is Eric Taylor. I have two toy dogs that like to use the carpet as their potty. He did an amazing job and it looked like a new carpet. He was on time and was very dependable. He was amazing and he was the best I've ever had. I am 65 years old and I've always had dogs. He was a touch high but when he got finished I thought he was well worth it. You get what you pay for and I didn?t have any complaints.
