  Cosmos Roofing

  Alex and his crew did a fantastic job. We got a quote with a detailed breakdown of the costs after Alex came by for a thorough inspection. He was very straightforward with no sales pressure. Alex also provided with a list of properties that had the roof work done by cosmos roofing for reference. Because I was out of town for a while, Alex was very accommodating and we were able to change the date to fit my schedule. During the roofing process, the crew was quick and professional. They also made an extra effort not to disturb us in the house. Alex's dad, who's also the owner of cosmos dropped by every day to make sure things are on track and to answer any questions we had. The whole time we felt at ease with what's being done to the house. After the roof is done, the crew cleaned up everything and removed all debris around the house. Alex informed us about the date the inspector is going to be over and what documents we need to get ready for it. On the day of the inspection, Alex personally came by in the morning and made sure we had everything correct. Overall, Alex and Cosmos crew did a phenomenal job. We couldn't be happier with how smooth the whole process went. And couldn't stop looking at our new roof with joy every time we come back home.

  Rossetta's Enterprises Inc

  Dan Rossetta, the owner, came out to the house to determine the square footage and brought multiple samples for inspection and choice. He explained the ridge vent concept and after review as mentioned, I chose his company. Due to the many houses that were being done in the area at this time ( people remodeling, selling or fixing), I had to wait for my turn. I did not mind this because although my roof was beginning to shed shingles, it was intact. Dan called me in January and told me if I was ready, they would be there the following week. The crew arrived promptly and began removal. I talked to Dan this day and I had previous mentioned, that if at all possible, could they extend a section of the roof above the front door. This would allow packages delivered to stay dry if it rained also us as we entered the house. He and his lead came up with an excellent design. Half the roof was stripped the first day. ( There was a possibility of slight rain which the crew was prepared for. (tarps-- etc). The next day they completed the removal. They discovered a few areas under the eaves that showed signs of dry rot. Dan called and notified me. The price for replacing the plywood at these point seemed more then fair. The following day the shingles arrived in the morning and work began. At this time I was also working with a company that would be installing 2 sunlight tubes on my roof which Dan coordinated. The extension over the doorway was completed at this time and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The job was completed by the 4th day with exception of painting the flashing due to slight moisture in the air. This was completed the following Monday. Dan has a top notch crew and a fantastic lead. I would recommend this company to any and everybody.

  Westshore Roofing Inc

  Due to a terrible roof leak back in January, and the subsequent collapse of my kitchen ceiling, I decided it was time for a new roof. As this is a major expense, and at a particularly bad time for me, I contacted 5 companies. Ultimately I hired Westshore Roofing. Ben Fowler was terrific to work with from the very beginning. Having a background in project management I typically rate services by, well, their ability to provide good service. One of the most important elements is communication. Ben provided a very detailed quote listing every aspect of the work, materials and process. He also responded to my every inquiry, even bringing me samples and, when necessary, coming by personally to check out questions I had during the process. His team, supervised by Manuel, was great. Manuel similarly was very responsive to questions and did a great job with the main roof as well as a couple of gnarly spots. There was only one issue: I had requested gutters with a double profile, and because I was not home when they were installed, they made a single profile. It's not a big deal, but I recommend double checking with the gutter installer prior to extrusion if you are really particular. Ben was also very accommodating to my indecision regarding downspouts versus rain chains. I ultimately decided on chains. Thanks Ben and Manuel for making a very painful undertaking a lot better!

  Ken Armstrong gave a prompt response and appointment made. Thorough inspection advising that the 18 year old composite shingle roof was in good shape, but quoted anyway. Will definitely contact the supplier again in case of roof questions or service.

  This was during the rainy season so it was difficult to schedule time to replace the roof, even though they said it will only take a day to get it completed. They were fully booked, but was put on a standby list to get the work done if an opening presented itself. They were able to complete the work in between the rains, even when we were out of town. We didn't have to wait long to get the work done.

  All About Gutters, Inc

  The work was done in a timely and efficient manner, the gutters looked great once installed. I had asked to be added to their maintenance schedule, but we never received a call during November/December 2014 as promised, so we cleaned them ourselves. The following year, 2015 we could not do it on our own, so we called All About Gutters(now a "B" rated Angie's List company) and Gutter Patrol (an "A" rated Angie's List company) Gutter Patrol came in with a more affordable price, so we went with them. Gutter Patrol informed us after cleaning them there were leaks and that we should contact whoever installed the gutters. We called All About Gutters because it has been less than two years after installation and they had guaranteed them for five years. My Husband spoke with the owner, Carolyn, and told her there appeared to be 3 leaks in the gutters. Carolyn told him "my gutters don't leak" When he tried to get her to come out and see them she continually interrupted him telling him "she was not going to waste her time sending anyone out" I want to say this is poor customer service but it is actually NO customer service. Carolyn told him in 10 years this had happened three times, apparently good customer service is a costly burden for her. She offers a 5 year warranty but I can't imagine why, they don't back up their work. Good customer service is easy when things go well, it's when things don't go well and you address the issue in good faith that makes the difference. Carolyn and her business is why I don't usually give an immediate review, follow-up customer service is the real test of a professional.

  Westshore Roofing Inc

  We were excited to work with Westshore.  They originally told us that they did not think we needed a new roof, which I appreciated.  Since we only needed a repair, Westshore was not interested in the job.  Again, fair enough and I appreciated the honesty.  However, we eventually did decide to go ahead and completely reroof since our desire is to change the style of our home and thus get rid of the spanish tile.  
  Since we were now going to do a full roof, I contacted Westshore to see if they were interested in the job which they indicated they were.  
  We made an appointment time for them to come to the house with the quote.  I cancelled a lunch date and left a meeting early to meet them and they never showed up and never called.

  We picked Clean Solar based on reviews and because they are SunPower elite dealers (we wanted SunPower panels), and were not disappointed. Very thorough and smooth process, explained from the outset, with every expected milestone met on time. They accommodated changes in our schedule due to family illness?and even sent get well flowers! 
  Marcia did the initial visit (climbed on the roof for site inspection) and prepared bids for three different panels, and a fourth when we asked for another. Bid selected, our Project Manager went to work, sending a copy of the packet that would go to the city for permits, so we could see and confirm the design and all paperwork. Install date was set and met on time (by two team members who were on the roof in 90 degree weather!). Another team member handled city inspection and painted conduit from the roof to the box mounted outside to match exterior walls and gutters. Clean Solar handled all permits. No problems with PG&E and the system went online shortly after the permit. From our initial inquiry to completion took about four months (includes our delay for family illness)?an entirely painless process.
  Pricing was on par with estimates from two other companies. We received manufacturer and special rebates, and can take advantage of the federal credit that will expire soon. We installed 15 SunPower SPR-X21-335-BLK modules with a SolarEdge 5000 Single Inverter with power optimizers. System has been generating without hiccup since day one, above expected output, with easy monitoring on iPhone app.
  We can?t say enough good things about the solar hardware and especially about the Clean Solar experience and the team we had the pleasure of working with?Marcia, Pam, Tina, Shalini, Ron, Rich, Jose, and Gene.
