    Dalcon Electric
They arrived when they said they would, they cleaned up, they were a pleasure to work with and were really good at explaining things. I was really impressed with their work.. They were also really good at responding to text messages and adjusting to our scheduled.

The project went very well.  Giles was very helpful in suggesting and explaining our new material options.  He sent us to the Super Deck store in downtown San Jose to pick out our composite deck option.  We went with Timber Tech "Pecan" with a contrasting border of Timber Tech "Mocha".  We decided on Timber Tech for the more realistic wood grain.  Giles suggested the Alumawood Pergola as a replacement for the Redwood cover.  We are very pleased with the look and quality of the project.  The deck lighting and railing on one side of the stairs is nice.
Giles and his crew were always on time and cleaned up when through.  When I didn't understand a construction detail, Giles took the time to sketch the problem and solution on a piece of paper.
I would hire Aidan Construction for a future project

Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar
We deal was for two hours of electrical labor. Sal arrived on time and started work on the primary task -- changing the hanging light fixture to a track light. We had already gotten the track light so it was easy. There was a issue where the alignment was not proper and he offered to change the box but that meant access through the attic and more time than we had budgeted for. When we told him a small gap was OK with us he fixed it right away.
We had almost a hour and half remaining after that and I wanted him to install a socket in the kitchen. Sal said that considering he would need to go through the attic the task would possibly take 2-3 hours and we would need to pay for extra time (@ $120/hr) if that happened. I appreciated that he told this to me clearly before work began. Since I did not want to add to the cost I asked him to add a socket near my desk since that did not require attiic access. He had to cur through sheet rock for that to take power from another socket nearby which he did (and fixed the sheet rock when he was done). I provided him with the outlets but I did not have the cover and junction box which he provided and charged me a reasonable amount (had to pay about $16 for materials). He finished that work in the remaining amount of time and I am very happy with the quality of work done.
I would have ofcourse like to have the socket in my kitchen but then perhaps two hours were not enough for that. Maybe next time! Overall I am very happy with the quality of work done and the professionalism of Sal and Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical.

    Bay Easy Construction
I want to preface this review with saying I am in that 2% of people that are very
anal. So it is very difficult to please me.
I met with Ofer and his assistant Hilary on 3/13/2014 for an estimate of the project.
They took measurements of the room and I showed Ofer exact pictures of what I would
like built, as depicted in a home Improvement website. All 3 of us discussed every
detail of the project from what it would be framed with, dimensions, materials used,
    and estimate of completion.
I explained to Ofer that once they framed the soffit I needed time to complete the electrical work. This is because I would be wiring all of the recessed lighting. He couldn't have been cooler about this "no problem"!
Another thing I explained to Ofer was that extreme
care must be taken since brand new hardwood floors were installed recently and can't
be damaged. He explained to me that they would put multiple layers of painters paper
down, and "Ram Board" on-top it. Ram board is basically a heavy duty cardboard
that's used to protect the floor area during construction and painting. If you drop
something on ram board it will cushion it from denting the floor (well within reason).

Ofer listened to every detail of what I would like constructed and from memory was
able to walk through every intricate detail. If there was any ambiguity about how I
wanted a particular item completed he asked me for clarification. I was very impressed
with this! I knew right away that Ofer was extremely detailed, and had a high level of
comfort that he would get this project completed with top-notch work. He is very easy
going and willing to bend over backwards to do what it takes to ensure you're happy.

Much to my surprise Ofer was able to offer me a bid for the work to be completed on
the spot.Never in any dealings with OTHER contractors were they able to give me a bid
on the spot, this usually takes days of lag time. He offered me a fair and highly
competitive price for the work to be completed. I hired him for the job and he said
he would be ready to start construction on the following Monday 3/17/2014. I couldn't
believe how painless and fast this process was moving.
Marco who was the foreman for the job, was introduced to me by Ofer. He would be the
point man for every detail of this project. Marco and crew showed up on-time at
8:00am on 3/17/2014 and we discussed the project. They immediately started laying down
multiple layers of painters paper and than ram board on-top of it. They were very
careful as not to tape directly to the floor (masking tape can mar a newly finished
Marco and team than began building and framing the soffit. I couldn't believe how
fast they worked without sacrificing quality of the job. They multiple times would
check everything with a level before moving onto the next section, to ensure it was
I know from experience that a lot of contractors do not really like you "watching and
critiquing while they work", but Marco and crew invited it! If there was anything I
had a question about along the way or wasn't happy about they fixed it on the spot.
Marco and his crew would stay late to ensure they could complete the job in 3 days.
Sure enough the job was completed on-time and exactly on budget with the original estimate.
The finished Product is WOW!!! The Framing straight, the mouldings mitre edge is
exactly 90 degrees with no gap! The edging they did where the new sheet rock of the
soffit meets the ceiling, you can't even tell where where it was taped. It is blended
At the completion of work Ofer and Marco ensured that I was in every way 100% satisfied with the work. I was and I handed them the check.
If you're looking for very high-end work with a precession fit and finish than I would look no further to Ofer and his crew. They will ensure that everything is right and you're 100% satisfied.

We purchased the special 40 hours of contractor services for $1499.00.  Keith and his assistant spent an entire day at our house and finished almost our entire "to do" list.  This included re-grouting our kitchen counter/backsplash area and some tiles on our kitchen floor, he also installed three light fixtures and LED retrofit lights in our kitchen, a new bathtub faucet in our bathroom and new shower doors.  He will be coming back to install baseboards and a new fireplace mantel shelf for us.  He does good work and I will use him again.  However, he is really, really busy and sometimes he takes a while to get back to you when you email him!!

I bought a 1983 townhouse that needed updating.  I got three estimates.  Although the estimate from Almaden was a little higher, I went with them because of my first impression over the phone.  When I spoke to Dan, the owner, to make an appointment, he told me
right away that they did everything to city code.  With the other two companies, I was asked if I wanted it to be to code.  That raised a red flag with me in both cases.
My first appointment with Dan went well.  He listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions, and said what was and wasn't possible.  He said he'd have drawings and an estimate for me in a couple of days, but it turned out to be only a couple of hours!  I went to his
store that afternoon, looked at samples, and got the estimate.  I was so impressed by his promptness.
Once I gave him the job, they were able to start the next day (which obviously doesn't always happen).  I wasn't living in the place yet, but every time I went over to check it, the guys were hard at work.  They were very careful about keeping things clean, even though I didn't have anything moved in.  All his workers were friendly and professional.
The biggest waiting time was on the cabinets, which were coming from Oregon.  There were problems with two different delivery trucks, but they still managed to get the cabinets in and the countertops on before my moving day came.  Everything looks wonderful, and I LOVE my new kitchen cabinets!  They are beautiful, made of sustainable wood, and the soft-close doors are great (and standard).
Dan also did a great job with my master bath.  They had to remove old, ugly tile from the shower and I chose to replace it with Corian.  It looks fantastic, and is so easy to keep clean!
All in all, I had a very satisfying experience with Dan and his people.  I would certainly recommend him to anyone.

    Alley Electric
I called Alley to fix two outlets that were non-functional, as well as to get a bid on having two overhead fans / lights installed in 2 bedrooms and a security camera cleanly wired inside a stucco wall.  Wes and one of his guys came out the next day and had the outlets working in no time.  While writing the bid, Wes saved me money by suggesting that we skip the fans if our goal is to list the house, since most stagers recommend against that.  I appreciated his honesty, despite Wes' recommendation being in contrast to his own business interests. That same day I had a bid in hand, the price was very fair and we had him out a few days later to install the lights.  His guys showed up on time, were very courteous, verified that shoes in the house was OK, did the work quickly, cleanly and the result looks great.  Couldn't recommend these guys enough.

Electrician (Sal) arrived on time - in fact he arrived at the beginning of the two hour window I was given.  Service was professional and friendly.  Excellent!
Highly recommend Valley for electrical service or repairs.

Howard, the owner, was very responsive to my requests & everyone was on time. They were very very "quiet" and considerate of my and my two-months-old baby's privacy. I am very pleased with the work done.

    Alley Electric
I contacted Wesley back in April and got a quote from him for the job; adding motion sensor lights. Initially, I was planning on adding them in 3 places - garage, side door entrance and side wall of the house. Wesley gave me a quote and suggested that it would be best if I get the motion sensor lights on myself; since it would be cost effective. I also prefer this; so that way I can pick the style of my choice. I got a couple of other quotes and they were very expensive. I put off the work and contacted Wesley in June to finish the job. Meanwhile, I asked Wesley if any wiring would show externally. He mentioned that the sensor on the side wall would have a 1/2" pipe running to the electrical outlet. I did not want this and so installed it only in the other 2 locations. Wesley and Alina came right on time and finished the job in 2 hours. Their work was excellent. He gave me a couple of choices on where I could locate the control panel in the garage and also the wiring inside the garage is well concealed. Overall, I really liked their work and would definitely recommend them.
