    Shefer Builder INC
The work went smoothly. Yani and his crew finished the bathroom remodel in 3 weeks, which we were pleased about (we have heard that remodels can drag on for months). Our home looks beautiful, and we sold it quickly with multiple offers. I would highly recommend.

    Superb Builders, Inc.
We used Superb Builders for our recent renovation. The job was primarily a kitchen upgrade (painting cabinets and installing countertops, backsplash, sink and cooktop) but also included laminate flooring throughout the house, a new vanity and toilet in one bathroom, and paint in most rooms. The result was great, in part due to Benjamins helpful guidance on design. Ben recommended a beautiful tile for our kitchen backsplash that added a lot to the look of the finished product and encouraged us to install laminate flooring throughout the house for a more unified feel. Both were good recommendations. The crew was polite, competent, and easy to work with. Our neighbors even commented on how considerate they were. The job took four weeks and, from start to finish, and there was steady progress each day, even through Thanksgiving week. As with any job of this kind, there were a few small problems but they were all addressed promptly. It was clear our satisfaction was a high priority and we are quite pleased with the outcome of the project.

It was the best remodel experience we've ever had. John's team takes special pride in doing the job right. They anticipate problems, and always make sure the customer is happy. John and his team don't bat an eye when the customer wants to change something. They do much of the work themselves, saving on sub-contractor costs. We never felt like they were putting our job at a lower priority.

    My Construction Group
We did not end up hiring My Construction Group, but we did have a very good experience with Abraham, who came out to give us an estimate. He was polite, knowledgable, and funny and he even put together a 3D mock up of our small bathroom project during his 45 minute visit for the estimate.

    Randy Silvestro Inc General Contracting
Randy is very meticulous. He suggested some undercounter LED lights. Based on some previous experiences suggested muted lights so The brightness would not bounce off the granite. Randy has great attention to detail And I would use him again and again.

    Heartwood Residential
We hired Heartwood Residential in early 2016 to remodel our kitchen, refinish our floors and paint our house's interior. The kitchen remodel was completely down to the studs, and included removing a load bearing wall. Nick and Michelle of Heartwood Residential made this a wonderful process from the start. Their 'Design + Build' approach benefited us greatly. At the onset we presented them with our concept, and they made it better by adding their own ideas and vision to our's. Their communication is excellent; quick to respond and they address the issue at hand.

What impressed us the most however was their diligence. After hearing many horror stories from friends of contractors who show up to work intermittently, we were pleased with Heartwood's diligence on our project. From beginning to end, only a small handful of days went by when they were not at our house completing our project.

Both Nick and Michelle, their crew and their sub contractors were friendly, and pleasant to work with.

In the end, this all added to a finished result that exceeded our expectations, and a process that was easy and well facilitated. We are planning on hiring Heartwood again for our next home project, and we highly recommend them to anyone.

Love my new countertops that look amazing!! Thanks Jodi and Ken for making my kitchen and bathrooms look new!  I was recommended to them by Creative Wall Designs and I?m glad they did. I got multiple countertop quotes but Jodi came in the middle for price and asked me the most questions of what were my goals for the project.  The other vendors just wanted measurements and to just give me the quote.   Jodi acted as a consultant walking me thru all the different types of stones and the pros and cons of each stone.  After talking with her I decided to go with HIMACS Volcanic Stone in the color Shasta.  This is stain resistant stone and you can refinish it if it gets scratched.   Since we have 3 year old Twins this seemed perfect over Quartz.

We did have a few bumps on the project.  First the tear out took over a day which we had not planned since the tile was over 33 years old.  The team had to come back on a Sunday to get it completed on time because the painters were starting on Monday to paint my cabinets.   Second our materials arrived and were damaged.   Monarch had to reorder and that put the schedule out about 3 days.    A few days later they installed the bathrooms and we had sinks again woo hoo!! The coving turned out beautiful and I could not see any lines at all on my new countertops.   Friday we had the kitchen countertops installed and wow what a transformation! They looked beautiful and the kitchen appeared so much bigger! My 3 year twins said Mommy we have a New Home!!  The crew who did the tear out were rushing and did chip the wall and let some of the tear out materials get into my garbage disposal but luckily the plumber was able to vacuum it all out.  Overall I?m very happy with my new kitchen and bathrooms and would recommend them in a second!

Initial contact and quote were timely. I got a quote for labor only, as I was purchasing tile and fixtures.
However, quote did not take into consideration code requirements (smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and 20 amp electrical upgrade, items which were paid for as change orders) nor did it include moving vent and plumbing for recessed medicine cabinet (which I had on site) and for which installation was requested, and which was not done. I did receive a small credit for this.
Owner and salesman did not honor either the coupon on their website or the Angie's List discount, as they said I did not present a coupon upon quote being given. I would think since my quote request listed Angie's List as the referral that would be enough to warrant honoring that discount.
The crew did mostly decent work, with a couple small items which I would have liked done a bit better.
Demolition crew was cleaner than remainder of workers, so now my carpet has a lot of spots.
Communication could have been better, as some days workers showed up with no advance warning. This may have been due to the project manager quitting in the middle of the job. Job took about 5 weeks.
I did get a lien release, but this was done after proving that I has requested this within their 30 day window (which seems unprofessional) and after several requests.

    Out of the Woods
Charles is a one man army. Took a bit longer than planned but very satisfied with outcome. Charles is easy to work with. He is open to requests for small modifications & adjustments are necessary. Very cost competitive and the project was completed at reasonable cost compared to some of the other quotes we had received.
Recommend home owner to know before-hand what design changes and upgrades they want to do.

    Tool Time Home Improvement

I contracted Tool Time Home Improvement, after my original contractor failed to do a good job and was subsequently fired.

Eric, who owns Tool Time, responded to my call immediately and provided me a very fair price to do the job. He was very polite, friendly and professional in his approach. They started the work within two days. Mathew who actually did the work was also very polite and friendly and knew his job very well. They corrected the mistakes made by the previous contractor and  built a beautiful, tiled shower for us. I am very thankful to both Eric and Mathew and strongly recommend them to anybody who wants to hire an honest and capable contractor. In fact I will be using them to do some work in our other bathroom and probably remodel our kitchen as well, very soon.
