This company responded within five minutes of me submitting a request for them to contact me . Their employee was professional and went beyond what he needed to do because he moved a lot of things I had stored below my old garage door opener. He also took as much time as I needed to explain the control panel on the wall.

I called on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 to make an appointment & set up the appointment for the following day.
Jeff T, called me & let me know he would be my technician & confirm he time. Jeff was very professional, courteous, and helpful. Jeff, answered all of my questions, he assessed my garage door and it's parts, gave it a tune up, and provided me with (2) remotes. In all a great experience.

    Dynamic Garage Door Service
Matt came out, was very friendly, and taught me a lot about the mechanics of the garage door.  He performed the tune up, explained what needed to be done and why.  He had some suggestions for improving/upgrading the garage door (Spring is starting to weaken), but in no way was trying to pressure me into committing to anything.  Right now was not the time for the upgrade, but I would definitely go back to Dynamic Garage Door when it's time to improve the door.
All in all, great experience.  I recommend these guys.  My door is functioning correctly and no longer obnoxiously loud.

My opener was approximately 25 years old and had died.
Phillip replaced it with a good quality unit that he provided.
    He also replaced the springs.
Phillip was prompt and easy to communicate with.

I believe they replaced the rollers and tuned the door up in general.  Previously, the door made a banging noise when it would raise but now it doesn't.  Their service made a big difference. The reason for the D and C is the seeming lack of communication between the schedulers and the tech.  We live 45 minutes from the property at issue and we communicated this to the schedulers.  They repeatedly assured us we would be given a call 60 minutes before the tech planned to arrive so no one would be waiting around on either end.  We got a call from the tech saying "where are you?"  It was frustrating because he was clearly irritated.  I explained that his company made the mistake.  In the end, it had no impact on the actual service and the tech did a great job but that initial issue was frustrating and made us uncomfortable.

I purchased the DEAL, and they contacted me promptly to make an appointment. They came the following Monday, and the technician arrived promptly. He couldn't install it because his usual installation (screws into wood) would not work. I asked him for suggestions, and he said if I had double sided tape he could. I don't have any. I asked him if he had any suggestions, and he reiterated that if I had tape he'd install it. I suggested that he should call his office for help. Then the office called saying they couldn't install it on my concrete wall. I reminded him he had not asked me about the wall construction, and he stated that it was rare, he had never heard of someone having a concrete house. I asked him for a suggestion, and he stated he COULD install it, just not for the DEAL price of $89. I asked him if he wanted to make a proposal. I pointed out that at least 10 neighbors had keyless entry systems installed on their concrete wall, so it must not be too rare. He said he would do it for $40, and the tech would have to to get a masonry drill bit, and come back later. I declined and asked him to refund my money. He said he couldn't do that either, I'd have to contact Angie's List to work it out.
The most disappointing thing was their attitude. I would not want to speak to them again about garage doors. It's fine that the situation was different, but they could have proposed a solution, as the whining was a bit much. Besides, if it is so rare that he's never heard of it, then he probably should have cheerfully swallowed the $40 and chalked it up to experience, rather than have the unfortunate advertising due to my review that I assured him would be posted.

    Repair Your Garage
My experience with this company was great!

I was not able to program my new Genie remote. I called Genie and they told me that I needed a new keypad. I called this RepairYourGarage for second opinion.  They answered the phone immediately and contacted a tech in the field who called me back within 1/2 hour.  Rather than come to my house and charge me a minimum service fee, he looked up my model and told me what to do.  Within two minutes my problem was solved!

They saved me the expense of having someone come out.  They didn't charge at all.  Their first concern was to help me solve my problem.  I am happy to refer them and would definitely work with them in the future.

    Easy Open Door Company Inc
The  woman who answered my initial phone call was extremely knowledgeable - almost knew what the problem was from my over-the-phone description.  Very professional too.  Set up the appointment, told me who would be out and that we would receive a call when they were on their way, within a 2-hour timeframe.  All happened as scheduled.  Excellent communications and professionalism.  We plan to have them return to do some recommended maintenance on the door.

    San Diego Door Pros
The technician came out the same day I bought the coupon, which was nice. He fixed the opening/closing problem and made it a little quieter. About 3 months later, the opening/closing problem started again. I called Door Pros to ask how long their work was guaranteed for. They said 90 days, but if it had been a little over 90 days they would work with me. I actually ended up buying a new opener with a belt drive instead of a chain. My old opener was not a Lift Master, and I think it was just worn out. I am happy with my new opener. The belt drive is so much quieter. It is warrantied for 5 years.

    Garage Door Man
Great experience with this company.  I emailed the company late in the week to have my garage door fixed on my rental.  I had been told by my tenant that the hinge had come off and needed repair.  I told this in my email to Garage Door Man and they were able to quote me a price to replace it via email as well as set up an appointment for the following Monday to repair it.   The owner and team member arrived with the parts EARLY and upon inspection realized that only the springs needed to be replaced.  I was impressed that they didn't try to upsell me to replace the entire hinge unit, since I was already expecting to spend $325 on that repair.  They quickly replaced the springs, tested the automatic opener to make sure everything work correctly before leaving.  All in all, they provided wonderful service and I would be happy to use them in the future if the need arises.
