    Michel, Dr. Franz K
Dr. Michel is thorough and communicates well with any problems or not with your eyes.
He checks for cataracts and glaucoma and if you need glasses your prescription.
I trust his judgement and would recommend him to others.

    Michel, Dr. Franz K
Dr Michel examined my eyes and cleared me to wear a soft contact lens in one eye. So now I use one eye for reading and one eye for distance viewing. This solved my problem. I am thrilled with the results!
He was very easy to talk with. I will go back to him when its time for a recheck.

    Anderson, Dr. Richard L.
A recent move to the area brought the need for a new eye doctor. My husband and I chose Dr. Anderson from the list of those provided by Angie's List. We were both very pleased with the experience. We were able to get appointments right away and found Dr. Anderson to be very thorough and professional. It was impressive that he uses such up to date technology and equipment.. In the process of finding a new doctor, I had worn and torn my last pair of contacts. When I called Dr. Anderson's office to explain the situation, they provided me with a new lens that same day so I could have my eyes examined while wearing my current prescription. After the exam, I was given a new type of lens to try in an effort to sharpen my vision. The change of vision with the new type of lens is noticeably better. We are pleased with the overall quality of care and the friendliness of his staff. We are very grateful to have found Dr. Anderson and his staff through Angie's List.

    Conejo Simi Eye Medical Group
I needed my eyes examined due to a medication I was taking that had a possibility of bad side effects for the eyes. The Dr. was excellent. He was very kind and caring. I did however have to call a couple of times to get the results sent to my own Dr. I think they are very busy but I would go back to them because they do seem to really care.

    Michael Ragen MD
I went to see Dr. Ragen, both because of a need for glasses, and for an overall evaluation. Dr Ragen gave me a very thorough exam, and told me how he could fix my vision issue. But better than that, he LISTENED, to what I wanted. He heard my past experiences with keratomeleusis and the vision issues which have been the result.
He also suggested that I might want to have my eyelids reduced; my dad also had this physical trait, and I had realized several months before that I was having to always keep my eyebrows up to be able to see better...he explained that he thought it was severe enough that the medical insurance would cover it; which it did. The surgery was handled 11 days before Christmas; I met a tech on Christmas Eve to have the stitches out.
I am very happy with my surgery, and I look forward to getting my vision issues resolved. I can see better, especially at night, and I am not taking so much Aleve for headaches!
I'd go back in a heartbeat...and I'm going back for the next step next month.

I do not do anything, including agree to medical courses of action without understanding the implication, pros and cons, etc., and when I tried to understand what he was recommending, he seemed to take offense at my questions. He was very dismissive of my questions, stating that I was trying to do his job. He thought one course of action was "obviously" the one I would have chosen, and maybe I would have, but I didn't get the choice, because he did not present any other option than his preferred choice. As it is now, I am left with surgery that might be technically superior...but it is NOT what I would have chosen. I am left with vision I depend on for most of my activities compromised, and I am always having to trade glasses in order to see what I need to. This has been a major source of frustration. I have nearly perfect long distance vision, but 90% or more of my time, my focus is on what I see within 24 inches of my face. I am constantly having to switch glasses, and I am highly frustrated at my current situation. Even with a Kindle's ability to enlarge text, I am no longer able to read without glasses, something that was not the case before the surgery.
This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I don't know now if anything further can be done to "fix it", but I'm going to look for another provider to see.

The day before, the staff called to remind me of my appointment. I had not written it down and had forgotten it!!! So they told me the appointment date and time. And the next day I thought I was 10 minutes early, but I was 20 minutes late!!!!! My fault in reading my scribbled note when they had called me. I asked if I needed to reschedule but Dr Chu's schedule allowed him to seem me anyway. The fron office statff said that when I get home, I should ignore the phone message telling me that I would be resposible for a $50 no-show charge. I am pleased with my eye doctor and his staff.
