  • Chris arrived on time, did a good job of keeping inside fireplace area protected during the work and left everything neat and clean. He also provided some tips on how to keep our chimney drawing well when we use it again. We are very satisfied with his work.

  • Mike was on time for the inspection and consultation. Mike called before he came out to verify the appointment.  When he arrived , he was very easy to talk to  and very friendly. We explained what we wanted done: remove one side of a dual fireplace  which was to large and unsightly located in the living room.  Mike inspected the fireplace, explained in detail what was required to be done and why.  He was straight forward with what was required , the cost and the issues that needed addressing. He explained the structural issues that would be involved in the removal and code requirements. He presented every thing up front so that there would be no surprises.  Mike was very personable , on time and we trusted his opinion. We are waiting for his estimate and are considering having him do the work.

  • They were very thorough, on time. They completed all tasks that I mention above in one day. They were always polite and professional. Once the job was completed the supervisor came by and evaluated all the work to make sure everything was done correctly. I was very happy with the entire process and completed job.

  • Real Estate agent scheduled this guy in response to buyers request. Paid $150 for inspection to David Hadad for the inspection, when I asked him for a diagnosis when he was done he stated he only provides inspection report to agent, and hung up the phone on me. When agent sent me report he had many items that are not required by code, like a spark arrestor and rain guard, this might be a good idea for a wood burning fireplace (though not required by code for any fireplace), it is not needed at all for an only gas fireplace like he inspected. We actually had a chimney cap and arrestor on our chimney, but he said it was not 'proved, and when I called him later to discuss he just kept yelling, "not buyer 'prove, not to buyers 'prove". I don't know what that meant and we were 2 days from closing, so I said eff it and let him do the work, since it seems he already scared the buyer with his B.S. He removed the chimney cap and replaced it with an identical unit....what???? When I told him this he advised that this is what the buyer required to feel safe purchasing the home. We paid close to $2000 to this guy to do a couple of hours of work. I wish we would have stood our ground, but it is hard when you are that close closing....look out folks.

  • He's done a lot of work with me before. It was incredible. He's a great guy. We're renovation our house and he's very honest about exactly what I needed. He told me what kind of work that we can do ourselves.

  • Everything went well, Rich did the whole job, and checked to make sure everything was working properly. He even touched up black paint that was needed on the frame.
    I would use Rich again.

  • Rich and crew are no-nonsense, no drama, true professionals who are knowledgeable in their craft.
I'm a US Marine and left my wife to contend with a +50 year old fireplace to get checked out and repaired if necessary. After Rich's first visit, my wife knew he was a honest, trustworthy and an expert at his a Army veteran to boot!  I got the call asking if we should proceed with replacing our damper and updating to a modern system.  Gave the confirmation to proceed and Rich did a super job within days of calling, plus he gave a 10% military discount.  Bottom line: Don't mess around with others.  Rich is the real deal and old school (does what he says he will do, without added costs).  Semper Fi, Rob

  • Work was done on two different days.  First day was the chimney sweep and video scan.  Itemized estimate was given to us for required repairs.  Second visit was scheduled about two weeks later when all required repairs were made and gas log lighter was installed.  Omar, who performed the work on both days, did a very good job.  Floor surfaces were properly covered and there was no residual soot or odors from the repairs.  We began burning wood in the fireplace again a few days after the repairs were made, and we have had no problems.  We will definitely use Fiddler on the Roof Chimney Repairs again for the next annual check.

  • This transformation was only achieved because of Jack's attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship. He held our hands though out the entire project and made sure that our expectations were met on every level. It was not only fun but exciting to watch our dream come true. I would recommend Trans-National Builders for any home improvement, small or large. Jack will give you his heart.

  • They did a good job and cleaned up very well after themselves. They even put a blanket down so there was no dust on the floor. The person that came out to give the estimate was a little standoffish, but everyone else was really good. The price was good for the work they performed and they showed up on time. They finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. They charged more for the heat plate that I could have ordered online for way less and just had them to put it on. They were responsive and always returned my phone calls quickly.
