Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar
I was so impressed with this company. It took Mike a lot of time and effort to come out to fix the gas log connection that had not been repaired in the earlier visit.  He took time to thoroughly analyze the problem and determine the necessary repair. He went out to the local hardware store, got the part he needed, and fixed the log set. It now works perfectly.  Mike was friendly, very professional and apologetic for the misunderstanding that had occurred earlier.

I would not hesitate to use Valley Heating and Plumbing anytime again if I had a problem with any of the heating or plumbing issues in my home. How they dealt with this situation went way above what I expected and the results are excellent. I want to apologize for the earlier negative review and thank Mike for his excellent service. A plus!

Water was leaking in the ceiling near the chimney area from late storms last spring.  I called my roofer out--I thought there may be a problem with the roof even though I had it replaced a couple of years earlier.  My roofer went on the roof and said the roof looks fine, but one of my chimneys, which is in the area of the leak, has a cracked mortar cap and the grout between the bricks looks bad.  He said I should call a chimney specialist out to take a look.  I called Mister Chimney because they had a 5 star rating.  They were busy and could not come out for several weeks, but it was ok because we were now into warm weather.  Martin came out, looked around, and I told him what my roofer said.  Mister Chimney called me back a few days later with an estimate to fix the concrete cap and suggested that I also install two chimney caps/spark arrestors--one for each chimney.  I agreed to have the work done, which was scheduled a few weeks later.  Mister Chimney came out, did the work, and I thought everything was ok.  Then the storms came in December, and my ceiling was leaking again.  I called my roofer as I thought my chimney had been fixed.  My roofer came out right away and suggested that we wrap the chimney in plastic to the flashing, and if the leak stops, then we know it's the chimney.  He had inspected the roof again, and thought everything with the roof was perfect.  There was a brief break in the storm, the chimney was wrapped in plastic, it started to rain again shortly thereafter, and there were no more leaks.  Thus, the chimney is still leaking.  I called Mister Chimney and informed them of the situation.  They were busy, as this was during the holidays, and I said it's ok as the chimney has been wrapped and no more damage is being done.  On January 10, a couple of workers from Mr. Chimney came out to take a look.  I met with one of them, and we spoke.  He told me he knew the chimney was bad when they fixed the concrete crown and installed the additional spark arrestor.  He said the chimney needs to be rebuilt at an approximate cost of $7,000.  I asked, why didn't anyone tell me earlier, before I spent the money to repair the the concrete crown, etc.  I now wasted money doing a repair on a chimney that ultimately needs to be rebuilt.  I was upset that it was known the repair wouldn't work, and not only did I waste the money on the repair, I now incurred more damage to my ceiling.  I asked the worker to please have Martin contact me with a written estimate for rebuilding the chimney, and I also said I should be given credit for the $425 that was wasted repairing the concrete cap--I'm assuming the $300 spark arrestor can be reused.  I called about a week later and left a message as I hadn't heard anything.  So far no one has called me back.  I'm not sure if this is too big a job for Mister Chimney--if so, they should let me know.  Regardless, the repair didn't work, was a waste of money, and the company is terrible at following up.

Excellent and professional service.  Martine coordinated the project and Hector, the mason, is a designer and superior craftsman.  Job was completed in a timely fashion.  Delighted with outcome.

    B And K2 - Village Sweep
They were great.  They were perfect.  They communicated well and were very thorough.  They did excellent work and I had no issues with them.  Regarding punctuality and responsiveness to my needs, they were good.  Compared to everyone else they were a little cheaper. The quality of the work was good.

    The BBQ Doctors
He went through everything over the phone, and I was able to fix the problem myself. It was as simple as a battery. He was very nice, and solved the problem for free, which saved me quite a bit of money. I would absolutely use them again.

Chimney Clean and Carpet Clean Company
Services performed as outlined above -- chimney cleaning, a new chimney cap and ash removal cover replaced at my request. The living room was cleaner than before he was there due to multiple passes with a vacuum. Picked up a couple of new tricks to get a great fire going quickly and we enjoyed one that night. Will do business with them again.

    Warm Solutions
They arrived within their expected window and promptly got to work checking if my chimney needed cleaning. They quickly realized that the frame that hold the glass in front was not attached properly and fixed it promptly while finishing the evaluation. Mine was in perfect condition and I was only charged for the evaluation! They fixed the loose frame just out of kindness!

Inexpensive and just fine. The man who came out really didn't speak English, but all pricing and details were discussed ahead of time with the phone person so no issues. He had some trouble explaining one problem he found with moisture. However, he was able to explain in limited English, with gesture, and by pointing at some diagrams he kept handy until I understood that we had an issue with moisture coming in to our wooden chimney. The fix is to add some flashing and waterproofing at a later date.

Very thorough. Did the work promised at the rate quoted on time. They noticed some related work that was important for us to consider and we ultimately had them do the work. Very professional and competent. I would recommend without condition.
