Great. The guys called to let us know a Sig alert was delaying them. I had to go pick up my son from school and they were still working, but they finished and closed up the house for me. Reassuring to know you can leave your home while the service tech is still there and have them be so professional!

    OREGON CHIMNEY SWEEP
Wow. What a great vendor, and a very nice guy. I called for service and Jerry was at my house the very next morning on a Saturday. He was friendly and professional, and most importantly honest. I had called for a sweep, as I had not had one in a couple years and I burned a lot of wood last winter. First, he inspected my chimney and told me that it probably was not dirty enough to merit a sweep and gave me the option of performing the sweep or paying for a basic service call/inspection (at a lower price). I had him perform the sweep. He was efficient and thorough. Best of all, he provided honest information concerning the condition of my chimney (I know because I had an independent inspection preformed when I bought the house), and he didn't try to use the sweep call as an excuse to try to upsell me work that was not needed. I will definitely call him again for the next sweep and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

    A-1 Chimney Sweep
4/17/14 a check for all materials was issued $450.00 was given to him about a week prior to work starting.
4/22/14 He started the work and asked for another $200.00 after working on the fireplace leaving a balance of $200.
4/23/14 repair work was done and the door trap measured and phoned in to the company that makes it arrival to be determined (to be advised) and noted on the check memo box and job pain in full. Later I was told it I needed to pay a additional $25. Since David was working on a different project for me I added it to the check for the work he was doing on 5/16/14 , noting again on the check memo line it was for the ash plate/door. I still have not gotten this door. I have made several calls I was told he forgot then he stopped answering the phone and now I have left messages for 2 months and left a message before posting this review.
FYI - According to the California state board deposit are 10% of a bid or $1,000 which ever is less.

Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service
Frank from Fiddler On The Roof came to do an overall inspection, as well as a cleaning. I put in a request for a first visit, and they were able to accommodate me. Frank called slightly after 8 to say he was on his way, and was at our home 20 minutes later. He was very friendly and professional, walking us through all the different points of inspection that he was going to do. We had a backdraft of smoke that would come into the home every time we lit a fire and he was very thorough in explaining why that was happening, and how to avoid that in the future. Frank was here for about an hour, and we couldn't be more pleased with the work he did. We will definitely be using this company for all our future fireplace needs!

James came on time for the inspection of the fireplace. I told him what I wanted and he suggested the least expensive inspection for $50 which would be applied to any work needed to be done. He brought in tarps to cover the floor at the entrance to the attic. He returned after the inspection and showed me pictures of the firestop and the gaps as the house inspector showed me. I asked what it would cost and he told me $500 which was reasonable based on what the house inspector told me.
James called 30 minutes before arriving and came on time for the main job. He had a helper. James then told me what tools they were using and how it would sound. They were up in the attic for approximately three or more hours, coming up and down to cut more wood or get other tools from the while it was raining.
I could not be happier with the experience and the job. I liked James after speaking with him for just a few minutes. He was professional, informative and with a kindly friendliness. They worked without a break for over three hours, left no mess behind, especially since it was raining. He showed me pictures of the after work completed and three days latter I was e-mailed the pictures.
If I had any more chimney work I hired this company without hesitation or reservation.

    The Chimney Experts Inc
Upon inspection of our new (to us) home, it was determined the 65 year-old chimney was in dire need of repair. We obtained several quotes and decided to go with The Chimney Experts. While their quote was approximately $100 more, they were the only company to straight-out offer a warranty on the labor, which meant to us they were willing to stand behind their service.
Our move into the home was on hold until these services could be completed (and thus, additional days spent in temporary housing) and the timing was complicated by several factors outside their control: 1) close of escrow; 2) completion of termite tenting; 3) gas being turned back on to the house. Understanding our plight, they were very flexible to accomodate our timeline and work around the outside complications.
The work was completed in two stages, the first being the application of the chemical cleansing agent. The technician was prompt, courteous, efficient and very friendly. He was careful with his work and took extraordinary measures to protect the work area. After several days allowing the chemicals to eat away the heavy layer of creosote, the same technician was back to complete the work. Since this phase of the work meant frequent trips in and out of the house, he meticulously secured the area inside to protect the floors and furniture.
We were impressed with the work, the company and its employees from start to finish!

Good, honest, quick service from start to finish.  This was our first experience with having a fireplace and Cindy (at the office) and Don (the technician) helped us immensely.  I would certainly recommend them!

Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service
He set-up his equipment and masked all the area with plastic and drop cloth so that he would not create a mess. He also went on the roof where he did the sweep downwards. Then he vacuumed  the debris that came down and cleaned everything like new.

Enrique showed up, on time, clean and professional. He was very knowlegeable and did the job with no muss or fuss. He walked us thru the video inspection and took the time to really check things out. He explained our options for the future and was on his way. He even offerd to repair our chimney for us if he wins this next big lotto drawing ;) Can't think of a single thing to complain about.
