    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
The workers are conscientious, hard working and courteous. They were on time, did what they were assigned perfectly and cleaned up after! We made a few changes along the way and they hung with us and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. Mark (the contractor), Enna his wife and all the girls in the office were happy to hear from us and always got right back to us with an answer or a solution! Its a family owned business and it makes all the difference!

    Home Remodeling by Treeium Inc
This year my wife and I decided to get our kitchen remodeled. After a handful of estimates and careful evaluation, we went with Treeium. This review is more about our Project Manager Jacke Mair. Jacke is a consummate professional. He consistently delivered on all his promises and always made us feel that he had our best interest in mind. From the very beginning, Jacke worked with us on providing the best possible value within our budget, provided design advice and was very patient while we reviewed our options. Even when things went wrong with our Kitchen Floor (home remodeling is unpredictable and inevitably, unforeseen issues will arise), Jacke worked out a deal to have our floor redone. Treeium is a stand up company and they stood behind their project Manager Jacke Mair. While Treeium is not the least costly of all the different companies we reviewed, having Jacke as our Project Manager was well worth the extra cost.

    Affordable Floors Inc
Excellent, I contacted Steve (the owner) and he came to my home the next day (Saturday) with wood and carpet samples, measured the area, and gave me an estimate the same day. The work was begun within a week. I was extremely pleased with the professional communication Steve provided and the two different crews (one crew for carpet installation and a different crew for wood flooring installation) were punctual, hard-working, provided quality service, and carefully cleaned the work area before leaving. I was completely satisfied with the quality of the job service and the materials. I would recommend Affordable Flooring, Inc. without hesitation for anyone who requires a top-notch experience. Also, I am a very particular person so felt they met my high standards. I would use this company in the future.

    Curtis Construction Services
We had a great experience working with Curtis Construction. Because we never did a big renovation before, we were kind of worried about what to expect. We were very impressed by Daniel during the first meeting that we had with him about the remodeling and he understood our budget and he gave us few ideas on how we can achieve the main goals of the remodeling and still stay within the budget. During the remodeling, Daniel was very open minded, useful and supportive. He provided answers to all of the questions or concerns we had. He was included few minor changes that we wanted while keeping the work on the original schedule. The kitchen that he designed and implement for us included basically all the main items such as: Counter tops, Upper and lower cabinets, Appliances, Plumbing and the hardware. His end results came out stunning and the new look of the kitchen made us spend much more time there than in the rest of the house.

    H&A My Design Inc
They were recommended by a family member and since they were very happy with the work we decided to you them. They were punctual and consistent in doing what they said they would do. If there was anything we had a concern about they immediately
    handle it to our satisfaction.

We recommended them to our neighbor who did a more extensive remodel and is using Golan's company H & A My Design.

    Most Wanted Construction
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY On Chris' request I put $1500 deposit down after receiving bids on two bathroom remodels. For personal reasons we were not able to schedule the work. I have tried numerous times to get a refund on my money. At first emails were ignored but I finally spoke to both Chris and his wife by phone. Twice Chris told me he would send me a refund check when he returned but he was out of town on a job. Now neither of them will answer their phone and they no longer have voice mail set up. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY

    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
Workers arrived on time everyday and were friendly, courteous, and respectful. They cleaned everything up everyday before they left. They closed in the main part of my bedroom with plastic and covered floors and carpet with plastic all the way to the front door. Sam, the project manager checked in and directed the work. Mark the Contractor checked in occasionally and was a real perfectionist! If we had questions or concerns, they were addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. We really didn't have any concerns! Enna, Marks wife, Anna and Carolyn in the office were constantly in touch with us so we knew what to expect. They are all wonderful! The job was finished ahead of time and we absolutely love our new bathroom! We love Horizon and everyone associated with the company! They are a family company and care about their clients!

    Duff Tile & Stone
I interviewed four tile contractors for our master bath remodel. Duff Tile and Stone was not the lowest estimate, but the lowest bid did not include mortar and lathe waterproofing, it was a different method (tar paper & Hardibacker) which is faster and easier. My husband, a retired principal building inspector, did not want that for our home.

Once the other bid was adjusted to include mortar and lathe, the price was more comparable to Eric Duff?s. In checking both contractors? licenses and insurance with the State board, only Duff had Workers Compensation Insurance. I knew both contractors would have helpers on the job.

The entire job clearly shows skilled workmanship. All corners are mitered beautifully, both shower and floor tiles are  laid out balanced, the onyx used for the decorative ribbon work was challenging but gorgeous, the finishing details include ½? wide tile strips to cover the perimeter between the bullnose and wall.  The shower floor which is shaved pebbles, was done in a way that hid the fact that they were square sheets of pebbles. This is done by putting individual pebbles between the squares and doing some rearranging by sight.

In addition, we did not know how bad the water damage would be until after the demo. I expected to have another contractor come in to replace the subfloor, but Eric assessed the damage (about 3?x3?) and replaced it  himself at no additional cost. He also did not charge me to add an extra shampoo box.

Every construction project will have a hiccup, whether it is a change order or something not done to the homeowner?s expectation. How contractors handle their client's expectations and issues is what sets them apart. Communicating with Eric was effortless, especially with texting and exchanging photos, as I didn?t see the day?s work until evenings. Customer satisfaction is genuinely top priority for him. This contractor managed to exceed my high expectations.

Of note for women homeowners, in spite of my husband?s background and he being home, this was MY project to manage. I let Eric know that up front, and throughout the project he made sure that decisions and schedules were presented to me. Compare that to another contractor who after I asked a question, turned around and told my husband the answer! LOL!
