    I called. They gave me their e-mail and asked that I send them information (name, address, phone), which I did. I told them I need an estimate to clean my gutters and interior and exterior windows. They provided an estimate for the gutters. I e-mailed them back with an OK to call me to set up an appointment and haven't heard boo from them since. I don't want to give them a bad rating overall, so I gave them a "C." I'm open to amending this review, should they contact me in a timely fashion.

    My roof was in a sad state when I bought my house a year and a half ago. The skylights were just sheets of plastic covering the old corroded frames, and they leaked. I got three bids from companies here on Angie's List, and I chose Saber because Ryan came to my house and told me absolutely everything I could ever want to know about roofing materials, skylights, product guarantees (the best in the business), and decorative finishes for the pipes. He left me with a binder full of information detailing all the different types of materials I had to choose from and a long list of addresses of completed jobs that I could visit. And the price: it wasn't the lowest, it wasn't the highest, but it covered everything except time and materials for problems that might be uncovered once the old shingles came off. (And there was trouble! Some wood rot on the main roof, and extensive rot on the porch.) The original quote was for around $19000. Repairs and product upgrades drove it up to $22300, but it would have been more if Ryan hadn't given me a significant break on labor. The only downside to choosing Saber Roofing is that they are deservedly a very popular roofing company. There were at least 60 clients in line ahead of me before they could start my job. (They did cover the leaky skylights with a tarp to prepare for El Ni��o.) It was at least six months between me putting my deposit down and them starting my job. But in the end, the wait was worth it. The crews that came in were quick and professional and very good at their jobs. They got rid of all the rot and made sure that everything that needed to be fixed was fully restored before the new materials went on. The new roof, gutters, skylights, and pipes they installed all look great and are guaranteed to last. I highly recommend this company.

    Anderson Roofing let us down!
    We called to arrange an inspection and estimate. Person who answered their phone said their "estimator" woukd call within 2 days to make an appointment to do free estimate. We never heard from them! The roofers we hired are up there now-- day 2 of a completely new roof and new and added gutters. Will submit their name and our review when they're done! Roofer we hired is one we'd used for leak in roof repairs a few years ago. We wanted more than one estimate, but Anderson was unresponsive and another one we got from Angie's List said they couldn't even do an estimate for 2 months! So we went "off-list" and fended for ourselves! Will report back!

    While having our house painted, we found out our balcony sheet metal floor rotted and needed to be replaced before painting could resume, The owner came out the same day to assess the problem. We had to remove sheet metal and the stucco surrounding the balcony. Because we live close to the ocean. He advised we use copper rather than sheet metal. His price by far was better than he other bids we received and they started the job within 2 days. It was completed within 5 days as promised. Everyone was professional and they cleaned up their mess daily. The day after completion, the owner came out again to make sure everything was done properly. I would definitely recommend Anderson Roofing and Sheet Metal. They made an unexpected repair/expense tolerable. They did a great job. Don't hesitate to use them. By the way, i'm very fussy!

    Did not show for first appointment;  then someone came later and did the work while I was not there.  The window looked great, but I could still see small branches sticking out of storm gutters in a couple of places.  Victor came by and removed the rest of the debris and inspected all of the gutters.  IN the end a good job at a fair price.

    They do not cover the city permits. I have used them before. I got roofing guarantee and the roof that I had before lasted well beyond the guarantee. They come when they are scheduled. They clean up everyday, because they are putting on foam. They actually covered all the cars that were on the street within about four houses of my house to make sure nothing got on anybody else's vehicle out on the street, even though I did not know who these people were who had parked on the street. They were very prompt in coming out, inspecting the roof, giving the estimate and then scheduling the actual roofing. It would be nice if the price were lower, but that is not a reality, I have checked with other places for my style of roof that is about what it costs. I do not have anything bad to say about them.

    This is just my opinion, your results may differ. I really didn't want to write a bad review, but I think I gave them enough chances to rectify the situation. Details below.
    My roof was leaking this past rainy season so I called Mr Roofing the day after Christmas to see if they could provide me with an estimate. They said the next time that they could come out was on January 18th, at 3pm. Most roofers were busy given the rainy season so I understood the delay. The person on the phone was very cordial and confirmed my address, phone number, and the date/time of the appointment. She said I would receive a phone call the day before to confirm the appointment. Since the estimate was going to happen when I was at work, I took the day off in advance for the appointment.
    A letter arrived a couple of days later with a brochure on a "successful construction investment." I thought that was a nice touch. The letter also confirmed the date and time of the appointment, on January 18th, at 3pm.
    A few weeks pass and I expected a call on January 17th, the day before my appointment, but they didn't call. I had I called them the morning of the 18th to see what was going on, and the person on the phone asked for my name and address. She said my appointment was actually on January 15th at 3pm. I asked her why the date didn't match with what I confirmed on the phone or the letter I received in the mail, and she said that's what was written down, and that the project advisor had already visited my house. I was berated at this point, because I took a day off of work and they didn't have the right date/time or phone number on file (they wrote down the wrong area code). She said she would ask the project advisor to give me a call back, and I had to give her my correct phone number.
    A couple of hours later a project advisor called me back and said his schedule changed because he had the flu. He said he tried giving me a call the day before the appointment (which wouldn't have worked for me anyway since I didn't ask for that day off), but he left a voice message (at the wrong phone number). After expressing my frustration he said he did take a look at my house on the 15th and had a recommendation, but wanted to know what other roofers had suggested first. I told him it was either replace the fascia boards or replace the dutch gutter system. He said he was going to suggest replacing the dutch gutter system, and would provide me a quote on the 19th (a Saturday). Under his direction I text messaged him my email address expecting a written quote on the 19th.
    Today is January 21st, and since my discussion with the project advisor, I still haven't received that written quote. I haven't received a phone call. I haven't even received an apology for wasting one of my days off (only two excuses -- the first was writing incorrect information on file, the second was having the flu and having to reschedule).
    Even if they call back or apologize, it's just too late. It's almost been a month since my initial contact with them and I still don't have a quote. Maybe my job was too small? Maybe they are too busy? I guess I'll never know.

    Steve Mitchell, the owner, came to give us an estimate for new gutters.  He went on the roof and measured and gave us an estimate right there.  Once we signed the contract, he was in constant contact with us regarding starting time. Since we were having our house painted at the same time, he was very accommodating.  We could not be happier with the work done and the painter even commented that the new gutters were well done.  We would recommend Gutterbusters to anyone who is thinking about replacing their gutters.

    The management was really good.  If we know them they will give a feedback very fast.  The day before the work, the person called me to confirm that they will be there the next day and he told me the foreman's name.  They showed up and did their job.  After they finished, they cleaned everything.  The guy that showed up with the bid didn't talk much.  He just looked around and told me that he will contact me later but he knew what to do.  He knew his business.
