    Jasco Services
The service tech is very professional. They do come with a uniform. This company is specialized in Bosch as they are company authorized. And then I asked if they could also look at my Microwave and asked if I have to pay an extra. But the technician took a look and did not charge extra.

It went well. We forgot about doing a review. 2 gentlemen came, Bill, the owner, and Larry worked on repairing the unit. Our unit is 16 years old. Bill advised that the "long-term charcoal" filter we had purchased from another contractor was not good, in fact considered a terrible filter, & gave us advice on better filters. Would recommend and use again. In fact, we need to call for service to have the unit looked at again.

Carl was quick to respond to my request. Diagnosed and repaired. A few days later another problem (not from his work) surfaced and Carl again diagnosed and repaired right away. Very Pleased with his work!

Gary came out to check on issues with a dishwasher in a rental. I was not present when he was there but the problem ended up costing too much to repair vs replacing with a brand new unit. I appreciate Gary being honest to make the judgment call of not doing the repair and not trying to fix it for the price I could have purchased a new one. Will definitely call him for any service needs. Honest, responsive, and very good with communication. Thanks Gary!

    Baker's Appliance Service Inc
The service was good. We have used Baker's before. He was on time and nice, and easy to talk to. He's real up front. He's real matter of fact. You make your appointment. He carries a lot of parts in his vehicle. He's real knowledgeable. It took about an hour to fix the dryer.

I called at approx. 9;00 a.m. and he said he would be at my house between 12 and 2.  He called at 11:45 and said he would be here in 15 minutes.  He showed up at noon exactly and was very prompt.  He immediately knew what the problem was and went to his truck and came back and replaced the thermostat.  He also offered to vacuum the vent filter which was included in the cost.  Mr. Baker did a great job and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Told me that he'd have to order the parts. He said it would be 2 to 3 days. After over a week, I finally called to find out why I had not heard anything. The lady apologize and said she would leave a message with the service person. A couple of days later, he called and told me that he had been ready to install and had been unable to reach me and had left several messages. I knew he was lying because I received a few messages, but not from him. I called and told them to forget it, that I was going with another outfit. The B for punctuality was for the initial service call. It was downhill after that.

This went very poorly.  I was out of town on business travel and my wife had to deal with the repair.  We found Baker Appliance Svc on Angie's list and, since he was close and had pretty good ratings, we gave him a shot.  Our dryer had stopped spinning so we called Baker and had a repairman come out.  The repairman showed up late and didn't give a very convincing reason for making my wife wait.  He fixed the dryer and everything seemed fine when he left, but my wife was unable get a good explanation of what he did.  A broken belt in the trash can along with a lot of dryer lint suggested that he removed a bunch of lint and replaced the broken belt.  Unfortunately, he seemed incapable of communicating that to my wife.  Two days later, the dryer stopped drying clothes.  The drum still spun but the dryer would not heat up.  We called up Baker Appliance again and were told that it was probably the "heating coil" and we should buy a new dryer.

I asked my wife if she was sure he said heating coil and not igniter coil, since this is a gas dryer.  She said he definitely said heating coil.  Okay, my main assumption is that he either inadvertently used the incorrect term or didn't remember that we had a gas dryer.  Probably the latter.

So, we had my wife's brother, who is an electrician, take a look at it.  It took him a while to troubleshoot the problem, but he was able to fix it with about $30 worth of parts ordered online.  It wasn't the igniter coil; it was a combination of problems that involved an internal circuit breaker and a thermostat.

I'm not suggesting that Baker had anything to do with the second problem with the dryer, or even should have caught it earlier. I believe that it was pure coincidence that both things happened in such a short timespan. The two problems were definitely not related and there's probably no way replacing a belt on the drum would affect the electricals.  My complaint is that Baker didn't even want to come out and try to fix the same dryer a second time.  I don't know if he thought we would try to blame the problem on him or if the 5 mile drive from Fullerton was just too much for him.  I would never recommend a repairman who tells you to buy a new appliance before even looking at the problem with the old one.

Mr. Baker tested all of the electronics and "codes" of the frig.  He tried to recreate the problem with the front control panel, and did find the source of the problem.  He also compared the codes the computer displayed.
Mr. Baker then reset the computer and everything worked fine.  He also installed 2 new CFC bulbs (at retail cost) which provide more white light and reduce the future chance of an overheated circuit board.  He was also informative in showing me monthly steps I can do to maintain the frig regarding keeping the coils clean.
