    Medical Care Alert
I just purchased a system for my mother through Justin a couple of days ago. This company had excellent reviews on Angie's List so I requested a quote. Within 10 minutes I got a call from Justin who was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I told him I would consider his company but as you know the way Angie's list works, it sends out multiple quote requests. I never heard back from ANY of them! But Justin was on top of things. He emailed me follow ups, requested a phone call to me to answer anymore questions. I was still waiting for more quotes but never got them. I normally do not go with just the first quote I get but in the case I made an exception as Justin's perseverance and dedication speaks a lot for his company and it's integrity. He went the extra mile to work with us two very financially strapped old people to give us a fair price and make us happy. Justin is the epitome of what true customer service is all about! Thank you Justin! Please feel free to post this on your website.

Marie and Charles are very well informed and responsive. I was especially concerned about aging in place design. They helped me from conception to completion, keeping me informed, following through on promises, and patiently adjusting as my visions required. Their workers were well mannered, prompt, and professional. I was thrilled with the results and would use them again.

    Ashley Medical, Inc
Ashley Medical gave me an excellent rental price. I picked the unit up on Friday to leave Sunday on my trip. Although I was scheduled to return the unit the next Friday, I had a medical problem during the trip and needed to keep it an extra day. Jennifer said it would be OK if I returned it on Monday and she did not charge any extra for the delay. She was also able to provide an extra battery for the unit when I picked it up.

Excellent! Measured where it was to go, ordered from the factory. As soon as it came in, installation was scheduled and completed.

They are wonderfully helpful and friendly.   They have done many small repairs over the past year.  They sell new and reconditioned chairs and other mobility devices.

As far as I know they are great. They delivered it and it works and I guess by now those batteries need to be charged again, it has been a couple of years. It has been great. Satisfied my desires. It did what it was supposed to do. At the time it was the only thing I could see and it works. The price is acceptable.

    Gamburd, Inc
Excellent work from start to finish. My parents, who reside in Cerritos, had decided that a stairlift in their two story home would make their life a little easier. They contacted the owner, Israel Gamburd, who agreed to open his showroom on a Sunday because my parents and I were in the area that day visiting relatives. This in itself was impressive. However, it also happened to be over the Memorial Day weekend which spoke volumes to Israel's commitment to accomodate his potential clients ( at this point we had commited to only visiting his showroom). Upon arriving, we found Israel to be friendly and very knowledgeable about the products that he sells and installs. My parents were able to actually ride various stairlifts as Israel expalined their capabilities as well as limitations ( minimal) on the lower priced models. My parents decided on the Bruno Elan SRE-3000 model stairlift as it fit their needs perfectly although the higher priced model had some nice features. There was not even a hint from Israel to upsell my parents to the more expensive unit which I really appreciated. All the paperwork was completed that day and an appointment was set up to install the following week. My parents were Emailed an appointment confirmation along with the name and photograph of the installer. This added security feature was appreciated. The installer, Aldrey, arrived on time, in uniform, and introduced himself at the door. The job took about three hours to complete and Aldrey was happy to answer any questions my parents had during the installation. After the installation, Aldrey cleaned up the job site and went on to explain all the features and details my parents needed to know to get the best usage from the stairlift. He also patiently answered any questions that my parents had and took as much time as was needed without anyone feeling rushed or hurried. My mother said she was " thrilled" with her new stairlift and my father appreciated how smooth the whole process went. I took the time to write this review because of the way my parents were treated and the quality of the work performed. Unfortunately, true customer service and quality workmanship seems to be no longer the norm in many cases. Gamburd, I feel, is a rare exception. If you are looking for a company that still believes in quality work, a fair price and treating their clients fairly and with respect, you won't do better than Israel and his company. Thanks Israel for treating my parents with the respect that they deserve. I appreciate it.

    Operation Independence, LLC
How'd it go?  It went extremely well.  I phoned over the weekend and had a return call early Monday morning and an on-premises visit on either Tuesday or Wednesday.I could go on at great length about the abominable work and business practices of the contractor I finally fired after six months.  (He was a friend of the family's, so I promised no names.)  But this review isn't about the mess I was left in, it's about the incredible rescue by Operation Independence. It was so wonderful when that "I can tell it's just getting worse and worse" feeling that I had for months, changed into "These people know which end is up and can get me out of this mess!".  The on-premise visit was thorough.  They didn't just have a job to spec out.  They had a half-done job that had to be inspected to determine what was usable and what was unusable, and had to be demolished and replaced.   They also had a lot of expertise in what a handicap accessible bathroom really was, and suggested some things not even considered for the original project like wider doorways.  With every question, every discussion, they were clearly trying both to get the job done right and make use of whatever they could to keep costs down.  And they listened to what I had to say and actually wrote it down!Operation Independence gave me their estimate a day or two later and I was really relieved to learn it was only going to cost me  $12000 to get this horrible mess fixed up right.  Their schedule allowed them to start quickly, which was fortunate.  They also finished entirely on time -- which many say is miraculous when dealing with construction!  There were two or three things about which I changed my mind, like which specific sink and flooring I wanted.  Negotiating these after-the-fact changes of mine was a very quick and fair process, and it amounted to very little in additional cost.  There were also a couple things they had clearly spelled out that were not immediately discoverable, and which had the potential to raise the cost.  Well, they were being thorough and honest, and it turned out that none of the potential problems came to pass.It really gives me pleasure to give such a good review to Operation Independence.  Everything about the interactions and the work was excellent, and I encourage you to hire them as well.  There really ARE people out there who do great work.I have also decided to add a wheelchair ramp to the outside of my house this Fall.  I will certainly be calling Operation Independence to do this work for me as well.

    American Wheelchair Center
John showed me my options, with the various considerations. John made sure I understood all the pros and cons. John worked to mitigate any possible cons (scrapping lift when entering driveways for instance). John ensured that I knew how to operate the equipment, recharge it and what to do if something did not work as expected. John provided a measuring tape so I could picture things for myself, taking measurements on my car, and answered my (endless) questions. Several UPS, Fed-Ex, and other suppliers came and went as I considered my options. I was very impressed with the friendly, easy relationships they had with their suppliers.Even their suppliers clearly enjoyed doing business with this company. One delivery person even pitched in to help for a few minutes. I was sold. They installed the lift the same day for an excellent price. The lift has been life changing for us. What used to take 20-30 minutes now takes 5. I have better visual in my side mirrors and back window. My license plate is no longer covered up. This company is great. And I cannot say enough good things about them.
