Recent Pet Cremating Reviews in Big Bear Lake

The price depends on the size of the animal we are cremating. If we have a bird, it's not much money but if we have an eight pound dog, it's more. They are so kind when we take our dead loved one in. They are very solicitous and gentle. They just acknowledge that it was a member of our family that we are bringing in. Otherwise some of them are going to throw our pet away or they are going to leave it to the vet to dispose it. They are really lovely and warm kind of people. I have a number of elderly cats.

    Cal Pet Crematory
They could not have been nicer, or more helpful through the whole process. From the first phone call, to the compassion and respect we received when we dropped our cat off. They answered all of our questions and some we didn't think to ask. Single cremation is absolutely guaranteed. We were greeted by a very kind lady at the door- with tissues in hand. They stayed with us while we filled out the paper work. When we thought we were finished and they had started to walk through the back door with him, I yelled for them to wait, and they did. The lady stood there very patiently and respectfully while I grabbed one last hug. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. If you have pets, you know how it is. With that said, we could not have asked for, or hoped for, a better place to take our beloved boy. Everyone there is extremely kind and understanding. I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them the next time we have a death in the family. I recommend them to any/all of my friends who lose a pet and wish for that pet to be cremated.

VCA Adler Animal Hospital and Pet Resort
We were not fully satisfied with our other rabbit vet so when our female took very ill we took to her Dr. Imata at the VCA hospital. He gave her a thorough exam and let us know that with the flystrike and the mass in her abdomin it was not likely she would make a recovery but that we could start her on medication and give her a chance. We did a week and a half of treatment and while she showed improvement for a couple of days, she soon reverted back to loosing weight and lethargy. Our male rabbit had been suffering from a loss of bladder control which meant that we were expressing him daily. We had our old vet fax over his records and Dr. Imata reviewed them and talked with us about his symptoms and possible treatment options. We decided that as the rabbits had been together for nearly 8yrs, the loss of his partner would only add to the problems the male was suffering with. It was decided that they would be put to sleep together. Dr. Imata was very kind and gave us plenty of time to say good bye as well as helping to make us feel comfortable that we were making the right choice. While we were not allowed to see them go, we were able to see them after. We chose to have them cremated in a group with the ashes spread at sea, though they do have several other options you can choose from. My only complaint would be that when I called to make the arrangements, I was quoted a different price than what we paid. I think the difference was about $80. For us it didn't make a difference but I can see how it might for some people and that it would be a difficult time to have to work though that. We do have 2 cats and we are so happy with the way both our pets and we were treated, will be switching to them for our cats as well.

They are very sensitive and they sent me a nice note with the cremation certificate enclosed. They were very prompt in returning my pets ashes to me.

    Guardian Animal Aftercare
They did a fine job. I didn't shop for it, they were the company that was affiliated with my veterinarian hospital that we've used for many years. So the hospital refer and have the material on-site so they give you that at the time of the death of your animal. And then it's up to you to go ahead and follow through or give permission to have them contact you. You give permission to have your animal removed and picked up by this organization. They pick the animal up on Fridays, and by Tuesday I had received the call from them wanting to know the specifics of what I was interested in. And within a short period of time the ashes of our little animal was returned to us. It was a very smooth experience. They didn't try to oversell you; they just wanted to know what you wanted as far as where the remains would be stored or buried or whatever so that they would be able to recommend the proper container for the final resting place.

    La Cresta Vet
Actually, he is a mobile vet and he comes to your home. Our very much loved dog was very sick. And had been for sometimes when we called him out because we are unhappy with the other vet that we have been seen. Basically, no good news but he was very professional. David Truste, which we really appreciate it and it turned out we had to put her into sleep, we did try something to recommend it ,but it will gave it a weekend  and it did not work out. He has in home euthanasia and it was the best experience. He was just so nice and truly cares about your family and your pets and even though we lost our dog, it was a great experience. They are special when they are a part of your family. The last contact with him was September. Actually I have an actual date because I have a death certificate of her. He offers cremation and return of remains, and he does euthanasia. The date was September 20th. I think, considering he comes to our home, he does the blood work in the home and everything, and they were reasonable. I will give him an A for everything.

Berg Electric came out on time and repaired both quickly and easily. No problems! I would call them again.

We were very relieved. They were respectful. They were very sensitive. I had the option to leave the remains or pick them up. I think that's good. They were very professional. They didn't put the remains in vessels and I hope they could have kept the remains of my two cats in two different vessels. Their price seemed fair. I would use them in the future.

I had a bad experience that day. The person that I talked too quoted me a different price over the phone than when I got there. I was told that it was based on the weight of the pet. I told them to weigh her, and they said they had no scale and could not weigh her. So, they told me the price I was going to be charged. I just paid it; what else could I do? Their punctuality was fine though. If I found someone better or if I had another option, I would not use them, but I would use them if I had too.

Sea Breeze Pet Cemetery & Crematory
This was many years ago and I've only been there once. I drove a long was to take my kitty there to be cremated and it was the worse experience. And I've been to kitty places before and those were much more pleasant in terms of being better for the soul. This place was a dump and the lady in there was the most depressing person. Even so, I just would never go back. I would not use them unless I read good reviews since I've used them almost a decade ago and things might be different now.
