    The Ivy Builders
My master bathroom remodel was hands-down the best contractor experience I've ever had! Tal and his crew were timely, respectful, clean and finished the job on time and with exquisite results. I am a meticulous and detail oriented person, so imagine my relief when Tal and every single one of his guys share that same attention to detail! Tal was always very communicative and easy to get a hold of to answer any questions along the way. He consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the work. His crew treated my house like their own, and left the space immaculate after every work day. I am thrilled with the finished product and have already spoken to Tal about my next project. Truthfully, there is absolutely no need to look any further. The Ivy Builders not only did exceedingly high quality work, their prices were the best of all of the estimates I received. The five stars this company gets are well worth it, and I'm grateful to have met a high quality, hard-working and honest company who met or exceeded every expectation I had for my bathroom. The results speak for themselves! Thank you!

A Handy Man in Santa Monica
I was the first AM job and it went just fine and fast. We were less than the two hours so he asked me to pay only one hour for the work. Seemed like the right thing to do. Very nice offer. But...a few days later the gate handle fell off after he had fixed it, and I phoned him...the response was he wasn't able to come by my house as it was too far and would take too long, and would come when possible. Haven't heard from him since. I will add it wasn't too far to come the first time. The other work he completed was good,

Dr. Fix Home Services & Appliance Repair
I originally contacted Dr. Fix for a proposal to address poor kitchen ventilation in two rental units. Alex from Dr. Fix responded immediately and showed up on time for our same day appointment. He walked me through all of the options. He clearly understood the challenges of making upgrades to an old 1929 building. Alex is a smart, honest business person. He recommended a simple but effective solution -- a solution that wouldn't make him tons of money, but that made the most sense. He earned my trust. During his visit, two of my tenants approached me with repair needs (this always seems to happen). Thankfully, Alex had the skill to immediately address four or five repairs on the spot, saving me from having to schedule my handyman. Alex did a superior job on those tasks. He informed me that Dr. Fix does a variety of home repairs and remodeling projects, not simply appliance installation. If you need something done at your home or rental property, I'd call Dr. Fix to see if they handle it. The service and professionalism is top notch.

    Mr. Handyman
John was early for the appointment but waited to call me until the scheduled time. He was clear and honest about the work he was performing and the job was done perfectly. I feel that the cost was high but he was clear on the pricing and I agreed.

Mr. Handyman serving Beverly Hills & Hollywood
Owning a house built in 1930 means lots of repairs and upkeep, so over the past 30 years I've hired plenty of repair folks and handymen to solve my various household repairs. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you, with genuine pleasure, that Gil Bussanich and Eddy Rios from Mr. Handyman, are hands down the most skilled, punctual, helpful, experienced, honest, expert, reasonably priced and efficient repair guys I've ever dealt with -- period. I interviewed or called or checked out nearly a dozen companies or individuals to address my repair issue and few of them struck me as being very experienced in dealing with my particular repair need. Few sounded interested in dealing with locating a new a/c-heating unit which would fit into the existing wall sleeve -- but the instant I spoke with Jeffrey at Mr. Handyman I had hope I'd finally found the right company. Jeffrey couldn't wait to send me his top guys to solve my problem. From beginning to end this company does their job in a way that exceeds my high expectations. Gil insisted on personally eyeballing the 27-year-old unit to be replaced and took great pains to take every single measurement imaginable to make absolutely sure that the replacement unit would fit perfectly into the sleeve, thus sparing me the big expense of having to tear out the sleeve and install a new one. Gil, a low-key, folksy perfectionist, took the time necessary to search for a unit with the right BTUs, the required features, and the right price. And when the job was nearly complete Gil realized I'd probably have to call my city's Public Works department and pay to have them haul away the bulky old a/c unit. But then he remembered that there's a place out near where he lives where large discarded stuff can be dropped off and taken to the dump -- he told me not to worry, he'd take care of it for me. That Gil is the kind of man to make that kindly offer is certainly one reason to call Mr. Handyman the next time you have a household repair to take care of. But it's only one of many reasons to let Gil and Eddy and their Mr. Handyman company fix what needs fixing in your home.

    Do It Right Construction
Noam oversaw the renovation of our powder room. They left the design to me, which was fine because I enjoy picking out vanities and finishes. His price was fair and his crew was friendly, quiet, clean and efficient. Noam was here frequently to oversee the work and he was great with communication. The tile we chose was somewhat difficult to work with, but they handled it like champs. Highly recommended!

    Brush Roll & Beyond
Ideally. John Carrol was incredibly responsive. His workers were professional, pleasant, and punctual. This is the second time we've worked with this company and they have earned our trust. The project actually came in under his initial budget and we've been using it for regularly now and have had no issues. We had additional estimates of several hundred dollars more from contractors who never seemed to show up when they said they would. Would recommend Brush Roll and Beyond to anyone looking to get things done, reasonably priced and without the drama.

    Brush Roll & Beyond
John told me he often accepts small jobs and then his clients are so satisfied with the results that they add additional projects. Well, the same thing happened to me...

I originally contacted John to get a quote on a small project-- installing a chair rail in my son's room. Then John informed me his guys could repaint the room as well. I agreed and the job turned out beautiful! So good, in fact, it prompted me to ask John if he repaired or installed windows, because I was in the process of collecting window bids from Angie's List window specialists. John explained that he could replace the windows, but frankly with an older style home like mine (1948 cottage/bungalow), his guys could repair and glaze them to preserve the older look of our home. I was reluctant, so he asked for the opportunity to prove it to me. We agreed to pay for one window -- our WORST window, to be repaired and then we'd decide. Most companies only want to sell you new windows, but John was confident he could save what we had, so we gave it a go.

Well, suffice it to say that John's crew just finished repairing 7 windows, including one bay window that no other company wanted to touch! Everyone else told me I'd need to replace the bay window and that it would cost about 6-10K. Well, once I saw the window job, then I had to ask you repair stucco and paint houses?? Usually I wouldn't trust someone who claims to be good at multiple kinds of projects and swears not to use subs...but John didn't disappoint. We saw Nino and Junior every day (they've been with John and his family for generations), promptly arrive at 8am and work with such professionalism. They literally transformed the front of our house from being the eyesore on the street to looking like a beautifully restored, sweet 1948 home.

Now, there was one hiccup early in the process. During powerwashing and the first day of window repair, the guys got a bunch of dirt and grime inside our house. Frankly, I was really upset and ready to cancel the contract. John was very apologetic and swore this was not their usual standard of work and that he'd make it up to me. I'm so glad I gave him a second chance. Our home looks beautiful and I've already talked to John about future projects around our house.

If you're thinking about a project for your home, call John. He'll give you a no BS answer and estimate, AND he'll make sure you're satisfied with his work.

Zac always does a wonderful job for me no matter what he is asked to do.  He can always figure out the problem and resolve it quickly and efficiently.  He always shows up on time with all the tools needed.  He did repairs in my condo and in my son's condo.  He was referred to me by friends that also admire his work.
One time my daughter closed her bathroom door causing one of the drawers to roll out.  There was no way that we could see to open the door.  The door is very expensive solid core door, going all the way up to the ceiling. The hinges are on the inside of the bathroom.  My daughter needed to get into the bathroom because she had medication and her contacts in there.  I called Zac.  He came up with the brilliant idea to bring over a pant hangar that was open on one side.  He used that to shut the drawer.  We were so relieved.
Zac is the best handyman I have ever had!
