  • Excellent. Condo1 is the most effective real estate firm that I have used during the thirty years that I have been a non-resident owner of rental property. The owner, Tom Meyer, looks out for the long term interests of his clients. Tom understands how to manage a small rental property as a business. He is well informed about real estate law, building codes and the construction details of buildings. He understands the building trades. And he has a list of really well qualified tradesmen who work quickly, competently, and at fair prices. Tom understands the local market because he manages or visit many apartment buildings in and near Rosslyn. Condo1 quickly rented my apartment in Rosslyn at fair market value. Tom used his long experience in the Rosslyn area to develop a realistic marketing plan. The well qualified staff carried out the plan well and kept me well informed with imformative emails and detailed phone calls. Most importantly, Tom helped me deal with a problem tenant. I did not want to evict the tenant because evictions are very expensive. That tenant had been acquired by a very ineffective large real estate firm. That firm had taken more than a month to get this lease which turned out to be hundreds of dollars a month less than fair market value. After the lease expired, I wanted to raise the rent to fair market value. Unfortunately, the tenant believe that the tenant, not the owner, sets the rent. The tenant did not want to pay a fair rent and the tenant did not want to leave. Tom helped develop an effective plan that encouraged the problem tenant to rent elsewhere. Condo1 found a fine tenant who is happy to pay fair market value for the apartment. The tenant is pleased with the people at Condo1.

  • They are not professional. They are not following through nor communicating with me in any way.  I don't get responses quickly. Christy is not knowledgable in the field, she does not listen to me clearly, and I find her very difficult to communicate with.  Christy has the skill level of a beginning wood working student. She demonstrates knowledge that I would expect from a beginner student which is not comforting. They continue to send reports that I don't understand and I'm not receiving any information that anything is getting completed. I don't think PCR's conduct has been unusual, I feel most of property managers handle business in a similar manner.  None of the property managers I have dealt with have performed the proper procedures required nor displayed a lot of knowledge.

  • Originally I asked for an estimate to repair 1 broken fence post. About a year later I noticed on my monthly statement that I had charges pending. After some investigating I discovered that the entire fence had been torn down and portions of the lawn had been destroyed. Also, they deducted the funds from my trust with out prior approval. I would not recommend their services. They have a lot of intelligent people working there but the people who handled my account did not do a good job. At this time they are very unresponsive and appear to be unwilling to make admen.

  • She quickly got to the heart of the matter, with a crisp and focused approach, and minimal chit chat.  Given the high billing rate of lawyers, this is a crucial characteristic.  We felt the advice was good, and would consider using her again.
