    Quantum Moving
It was a perfect. They were efficient, very careful with the items. They brought all the necessary boxes, tools to assemble the bed etc. Even though they came a little late they were very thorough and finished the job on time. They were very polite, friendly and did not add any extra charges . The scheduling was also very easy All in all a very satisfying experience. I would like to thank Angie's list for introducing us to this business

    Paradise Moving and Storage
Rob and his crew were professional, prompt and genuinely nice guys! Without me having to ask they took great care to wrap and protect everything that was delicate, and I can't believe they got everything I own into one truck!!! They left an empty clean house and brought a monstrous load of heavy (expensive) furniture and belongings up a narrow and challenging staircase at my new place. My next move will definitely be with Paradise.

    CalState Moving & Storage
"Calstate Moving and Storage" is a a complete disaster with total lack of accountability. They did not show up on the agreed date; lack of professionality in the packing, resulting in damaged objects. Very poor communication to allow customer tracking the moving: CA loading date- then reasonable estimation of arrival date to destination, NY. Upon arrival the alleged subcontractor showed up totally unprepared, complete lack of professionality (broken English, but unfamiliar Turkish language- speaking driver, and his underage son, were the solely crew to unload the 8 wheeler truck, which included an upright piano!; truck was not equipped with unloading ramp); we had to force ourselves in order for the driver to call for extra help to complete the unloading timely and safely); almost every piece of furniture was cracked, chipped, or broken; misrouted items or stolen accounts for missing personal objects?; many dirty and already used moving boxes were used for packing, which ended up arriving broken- open. The final leg to NY was done with a U-Haul truck that was malfunctioning, dead battery, my husband had to help in calling for mechanic help, since driver unable to speak English. To our dismay witnessing powerlessly the personal property damage and appalling service of this company, we haven't yet heard from them, despite our protests and detailed written claims. The salesman representative, only contact link we have to this company, Al Williams, has disappeared in total lack of accountability, despite multiple requests for his manager's name and phone number. The Claims Department we have been referred to, does not seem to exist given not a single email response to our multiple attempts to reach them. The moving was completed October 1st. Unfortunately outraged and helpless feelings has been the result of our moving experience with "CalState Moving and Storage". The approximate cost of service was $8,000.00, half of it required to be paid in cash to truck driver in order for our stuff to be unloaded. So we did. We are a middle age retired couple, senior adults.

    Captain Move-A-Lot Inc
Outstanding! I needed movers to help move the (packed) contents of my studio apartment across Berkeley. Paul and Robert with Captain Move-a-Lot were professional, easy to communicate with, very careful with my furniture and mirrors, and incredibly efficient -- they finished the move in significantly less time than I'd been quoted. I saved time and money on my move because they were so thorough and fast. Everything arrived at the other end in good shape, even my plants! It was a little difficult to get scheduled initially, but I'm glad I persisted -- this was an exceptionally painless and easy moving experience. I recommend them to anyone looking for movers in the Bay Area.

    NorthStar Moving Co
Smooth as can be. Four guys showed up on time and even called an hour in advance to let us know when they'd arrive. They took great care wrapping things and moving between places. Guys were nice, polite and asked where we'd like things to go. They even asked at the end if we'd like anything moved to a different room before they left. Couldn't be happier.

    A2B Movers
Well, but was charged 2X for travel time. Company claimed this was standard but it was not indicated in Angie's list cost breakdown, so I ended up paying more than planned. Also their truck was deficient, as that it could not safely go over 45MPH (according to driver), so travel time was significantly longer.

    Captain Move-A-Lot Inc
It went okay but not great. Movers didn't seem to know what they were doing some of the time, e.g., how to wrap furniture. They were very, very slow and were wrapping things that didn't need to be wrapped, like a beaten-up table. Then not wrapping an antique dresser made of fine wood. I had to ask them things a few times. Also not careful enough, bumping into things and putting rough tools on top of nice pieces. They broke a lamp, not entirely their fault as it was a bit loose but they could have avoided hitting it in the first place.

    NorthStar Moving Company
We had to hire another truck and movers the next weekend.  Initially after purusing the packed boxes, they didn't get a larger truck or get more people.  They did 2 loads, first was 1/4 empty. Double drive time charges.  Actual workers worked hard.

    A2B Movers
A2B Moving did a terrific job with our move. The pick-up site was very challenging, with lots of steps, some irregular. I'm amazed at the energy of the crew, who were professional, friendly, and careful with our belongings. The delivery site was challenging to park at and I'm amazed the driver was able to get into our driveway which required turning on a narrow street. He seemed to defy the laws of physics. Office staff was very helpful and responsive as well. Great job, everyone.

    A2B Movers
A2B is awesome. They were flexible about our move date; I needed to change it a couple times and each time it wasn't an issue. On the day of the move, David (the main mover) called me 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know they were on the way. They showed up on time, and moved fast. When my couch didn't fit it out the door, they took it apart and then put it back together at the new spot super quick. Loaded and unloaded everything carefully and were very flexible with the fact that we were moving some things that didn't fit into boxes. Brought wrapping blankets, plastic wrap to protect things and tape. One of the guys on the crew wasn't the most gentle and dropped one of our wooden coffee tables (he was carrying two at a time), but it survived unscathed. I appreciated that they were speedy and completed the job in the time frame that was estimated/included with the Angieslist deal. After the job, the owner Walter, called and asked if I was satisfied and if there was anything else he could help with. Very professional follow-up! I would definitely hire them again.
