    In my 50���s, my health began to deteriorate. My body no longer ���bounced back��� and I began to experience significant mobility issues due to hip pain. In desperation, I saw a chiropractor for two years which improved my hip pain and mobility, but I never was able to make that next step toward regular exercise. When I did try to exercise, I would reinjure myself. I sought a trainer at my health club but could not find the specialized rehabilitative help that I needed. Kaiser���s physical therapy was woefully inadequate. I even tried a personal trainer in my home with a lot of expense and minimal result. After witnessing my parents��� health issues in their elder years, I was determined to be as proactively healthy and fit as I could but was at a loss as to where to go for help. Through good fortune, I discovered All-In-One Fitness. I first met with the owner, Jasmine, for an in-depth interview and assessment of my needs. She paired me with two superbly skilled and experienced trainers, Janice and Holly, for my three trainings per week. After four short months my hip pain is gone, my mobility returned, and I have tools to take care of my hip without returning to a chiropractor. To say the training is personalized is an understatement. Each session is tailor made to what my body needs that day. Through the expert and attentive guidance of Janice and Holly, I���m learning to listen to my body���s needs and limits so that I avoid reinjury. I���m observing how my muscles are waking up and reconnecting with their full range of motion. I love the nuanced learning and enjoy the process of watching myself grow stronger and healthier in a safe way. I���m actually excited to go each day and am enjoying the workouts. All In One Fitness is truly a healing environment in every sense of the word. Jasmine and her team have created a one-of-a-kind model for rehabilitation and healthy aging for people in their 40s and above. It is a welcoming and compassionate environment where the trainers do their magic in assisting each client toward their health and fitness goals. All In One Fitness has allowed me to recover from a chronic injury and a vicious cycle of reinjury to begin to build a solid foundation of health. I cannot recommend All In One Fitness highly enough as a quality-of-lifesaver for anyone in their 40s and above looking for optimal health and fitness.

    My experience over the years was excellent, which is why I continued. Studying traditional Japanese arts isn't easy, and the teachers take what they're doing seriously, but the atmosphere isn't harsh or negative. Anyone willing to be equally serious can benefit from what's being presented.

    24 Hour Fitness
    This is definitely a bare-bones gym. They do not provide towels (not even paper towels in the locker room), and the locker rooms are small and crowded. However, it is quite inexpensive, and I enjoy the classes (I mostly go to zumba) and working out on the elliptical trainers and stationary bikes (okay, maybe I don't *enjoy* it, but I enjoy the benefits!). In the 1.5 years I've been going there, there was only once that I went and all the ellipticals were taken. The biggest downsides to this gym are the crowded locker room and the lack of easy parking.

    I started last year as a way to get exercise and keep my brain active while getting the benefit of learning self defense. I like this studio because of the friendly atmosphere and people. The instructors are excellent, they are sensitive to the level of experience of students and tailor accordingly. The time during class is not wasted, we are always learning something, usually all together as a group and then break into smaller groups or partner practice based on experience level. Overall I feel this is a very practical class. I don't have any children so I can't comment on the children's class.

    I've belonged to lots of gyms where my fees are more like contributions since I pay but rarely go. I decided I needed something more structured to ensure that I actually worked out regularly and to help lose the 90 extra pounds I've been struggling with. My AIO experience began with the most detailed assessment I've ever gotten from a trainer (lasting over an hour) and a discussion of my goals. After which, I was assigned a trainer based on my needs. My trainer has been great. She modifies my workouts to accommodate an injury, but that doesn't mean she's easy on me! She definitely gives me my money's worth and I've worked out consistently for two months (a record for me). She's inspiring but not judgmental so I don't feel like I have to hide if I slip up and eat something I shouldn't. I feel slimmer and stronger and am actually enjoying the experience. I paid for an eight week package and definitely plan to purchase another because it feels like it's just the beginning.
